Kahaluu Beach Holmes est une grande propriété de location de vacances avec une vue spectaculaire! Nous sommes situés à seulement 100 mètres de la plage de Kahaluu, l'une des plus belles plages de plongée de l'île. Notre maison offre une vue imprenable sur la plage et une vue panoramique sur l'océan Pacifique depuis nos grandes vérandas. Nous offrons 4400 pieds carrés d'espace de vie sur deux niveaux et pouvons accueillir 14 personnes confortablement.

Les deux derniers étages de la maison de 3 étages, d'environ 2200 pieds carrés chacun. Les deux ont deux chambres king / deux salles de bains, une cuisine meublée en taille réelle, un grand salon et une véranda privée avec une vue magnifique sur l'océan. Pour les grands groupes, chaque niveau a un futon confortable avec un «vrai» matelas, un canapé-lit queen, le 2ème étage a un lit Murphy supplémentaire. Cela permet des lits pour 16 et le dernier obtient un canapé-lit!

Chaque étage dispose d'une entrée privée ainsi que d'un escalier intérieur à deux niveaux confortable qui les rejoint.

La maison est entièrement meublée, il y a un grand parking hors rue, buanderie, WIFI, câble, et la vue depuis le dernier étage est inégalée. Incontestablement l'une des meilleures locations de vacances de la région.

Nous sommes situés à 300 pieds (une promenade facile dans l'allée) de la plage de Kahaluu! Sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs spots de plongée en apnée sur la grande île. Alimenté par une source d'eau douce, jusqu'à 10 millions de gallons par jour. Ces eaux sont presque toujours calmes, avec des coraux colorés, des formations rocheuses et plus de 100 espèces de poissons. Nagez avec d'immenses bancs de poissons colorés et de tortues de mer vertes dans ces eaux protégées; n'oubliez pas votre caméra sous-marine!

L'extrémité nord de la plage est l'endroit où les vagues se brisent et est idéale pour le bodyboard et le surf. Les moniteurs de surf locaux y donnent régulièrement des cours. Kahaluu est très apprécié en raison des eaux calmes et protégées - parfaites pour les familles et les enfants ainsi que pour les amateurs de vagues aventureux. Des arbres ombragés entourent cette belle plage de sable. Les installations comprennent un pavillon, des salles de repos, des douches, une tour de secours. Stands de concession, école de surf et location de matériel de plage.

Breathtaking View!

This property is just as described in the listing. It is clean, private and has all the necessary items you need for cooking meals and enjoying your time on Hawaii. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The cherry on top is Kahalu’u beach which is directly in front of the house. Morning snorkeling was the best! We will definitely return!

Great location

This was a great location! Right across from a great snorkel spot. The unit had some gear to borrow but we ended up renting some better gear. The view from the top balcony was amazing, beautiful views of the water, the morning rainbows and loads of birds in the area. Parking was sufficient, the driveways are all tight here but our large car had no issues. Great host! She was super communicative and nice :)

Great location, dated accommodation.

You stay here because of the location. Being a short walk away from some excellent snorkeling and beautiful views are the standouts of this Vrbo. It is also a short drive to downtown Kona and to a nearby shopping area with a grocery store. The accommodation itself is dated and would be surprised if it was ever updated and there are aspects of the house the need a refresh especially considering the price point of the home. Furthermore given the 400 cleaning fee I would expect the home to be spotless upon arrival but it was not. If you are looking for a pleasant and simple place near a prime snorkeling spot this is your place. But its cost point and lackluster accommodation quality would have me looking at other options in the future.

The perfect stay

The location was absolutely amazing. Views of the ocean, across the street from the beach, a short drive to downtown. Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect and we can’t wait to come back!!!!

What a great place to stay! Had a great time!

there were nine of us, ages 10 to 67, we all enjoyed the house. It was very comfortable and well maintained. The view from the lanai was incredible. The location was perfect, we'd walk to beach and snorkle. Close to shopping, night life and harbor.

Great stay close to the beach

Group of 7 adults. We had a great stay at this place. Home is clean, spacious, has everything you need but you need to bring your own toiletries. Short drive to town, great snorkeling beach right across the street and amazing views from the balconies. Host was responsive and helpful. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you!

Great for a family vacation

Our family of 8 stayed in the top two floors of the home, which is just a long driveway from Ali'i Drive, and then across the street to Kahulu'u Beach. It worked out very well for us! A kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms on each floor plus boogie boards and water shoes to share. There are several homes along the driveway, ruins of an old heiau on Ali'i, and snorkeling at the beach. A relaxed place to spend a week!

Perfect

This was just perfect for us. Kids stayed on 1 level and adults on the other. Location was far enough from the hustle and bustle of Kona but close enough when you want to go into town. Sound of ocean drowned out the road noise from Ali'i Dr. Snorkeling was AMAZING.

Amazing location of the perfect house for a large group!

This house was perfect for our large family! We were able to let our adult children and their significant others take the 2nd floor and we took the 3rd floor! It was very close to a very cool snorkeling location! We enjoyed the quick access to a beautiful beach! I got a little anxious raising for instructions for checking in however they sent it slightly early so that was nice!

Wonderful location

This house was set in a wonderful location! We were able to snorkel and rent surfboards right across the street! It was perfect. There is a grocery store within 5 minutes and you are able to cook in if you want. At first we were nervous about no air co di Orion if but don’t let that scare you off! once you open the windows and turn the fans on it is perfect! The outside porches are also the perfect place to relax and watch the sun set!

Great location

My wife and I have been to Kona a few times and knew that Kahaluu Bay would be an excellent location for the grandkids. The trolley was just a few steps further from the beach-just remember the trolley runs on “island time”! Great views from the 2 lanais-we even spotted a few whales. Rainbows and gorgeous sunsets were a nice bonus. We would definitely stay again. The grandkids named the neighborhood alarm clocks (2 roosters) Jimmy and Fred! Good times for all

Family memories to last a lifetime

We just got back from our 12 day stay. We rented the entire house and the 10 of us fit very comfortably. The house is exactly as pictured, very neat and clean. The snorkeling beach is directly across the street and fabulous. The view and sunsets are to die for. The owners are extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. There were boogie boards, snorkels, fins, beach chairs, towels, and water shoes available for our use. Because of the washer and dryer on site we packed lighter and only had carry-ons for luggage! Owner told us about cheaper but very good places to eat that were close by. Don't miss the Hawaiian BBQ at the shopping center.

Miserably Hot in July

Great location but poor airflow and no AC made for a miserable time in late July when the temps were high 80s with very high humidity. Couldn’t escape the heat which made the house pretty uncomfortable in the afternoons and evenings. Luckily it did cool off enough in the night to make sleeping pleasant. Unless you are OK with high humidity and high temps, I would advise renting this home only in the cooler months!

Best house at Kahalu’u

We were sooo lucky to have this house. The views are amazing, the top balcony sits above all the other houses for a full ocean view. Sunsets every night and moon sets every morning. Kahalu’u beach is literally at the end of the driveway and across the slow, safe street of Ali’i Drive. We walked to the beach barefoot, and could see our balcony from the beach. The surf school there is kind and accommodating. We rented snorkeling gear and the kids took awesome, successful surf lessons. Snorkeling at Kahalu’u was amazing. Safe, shallow, easy, FULL of fish. Location is as good as it gets. The house itself was comfortable, plenty of room for 8 of us with 4 showers and 4 bedrooms. The caretaker was accessible, friendly, non-intrusive and helpful. Thank you for this incredible place!

good position, great space and excellent view

this property is well located with shops nearby, good snorkelling across the road and central to most attractions around the island (as long as you have a car). Well set up for large groups. The property is on 2 levels that are identical (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen & large living area on both levels). Everything was satisfactory, but the beds, kitchen, bathroom and overall feel are old and tired. Definitely need an upgrade. Also, top floor does not have ceilings in bedrooms, so light and sound from kitchen/living room travels to bedrooms. Arrival instructions were disappointing. We only got the contact phone no. and final details on the morning we arrived which may be OK for some people, but when you've come from another country it's a bit disconcerting.

Unsatisfactory but good location and view

Unclean but tidy. Some bedrooms have open wall at top and light switch in one room controls electricity in second. No mention of outside stairs and mobility challenge for older persons. Local contact did not send code until 2 hrs before check-in. They have rigid rules for 3 cars parking only but did not state until check in. Site check-in has wrong contact, he did not work for owner for 2 yrs. Local contact stated no others allowed in house but the 10 people. Site states no more overnight-no mention of day visitor rules. This means we could not attend our family dinner as we stayed at another location. Good location and views. House needs an upgrade and new local contact team. AC would be good in the pm.

Great view & location, but a few cons I wish I knew before booking:

This house has an incredible view and location. It’s so great to be able to walk down the driveway and be at an incredible snorkeling beach. It is also a good size and layout for multi-generational families traveling together. There are a few cons I would have liked to have known prior to booking. The house is worn out, some of the furniture is broken and sinking (the owner notified me 2 days after checking in that the futon was broken and not to use it), the dishes are chipped, and the landing to the front door is a serious liability that is about to fall through. Secondly, the owner watches you on their outdoor camera in the yard. I was contacted on day 2 of my 7 day stay and asked to not sit on the outdoor patio set at the bottom of the stairs, this set is right in the middle of the space we are “allowed” to use. There is no sign or note in the thorough house rules book that states this. Lastly, you pay a cleaning fee but are still expected to do your dishes, take out the trash and put the dirty laundry in the laundry baskets. On top of that, we had to wash all the dishes prior to using because they were put away in the cupboards dirty!
