Great house and location

The host is very responsive to questions. Adult kids loved the pool table and back deck overlooking the lake. It was nice to sit there in the mornings with coffee.

Cozy stay by the water!

The property is on lake Hamilton! The property was clean and spacious. We all had fun sitting on the porch and enjoying the view from the dock and nearby park. We all had fun playing pool and games provided. It was a very relaxing and calm stay. The host was very responsive with questions and check in was a breeze. Everything was close by. Would stay again!

Quiet time on the water

Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were pleasant and enjoyable. I was in town to visit with family while also enjoying the holiday on the lake.

We had an amazing time , the house was just as beautiful as the pics, nice large game room, out door floats & kayaks were also available . Plenty of yard for your fur babies to roam . We look forward to booking this house again!

Very dog friendly

Daughter’s wedding was on Lake Hamilton at another home and I was providing 3 of the meals for the week. My parents, husband, and other daughter stayed the week with our small dog. Yard was large for the area and fenced. Home was roomy and pool table room was a plus. Cove was quiet and home close to main road. Owner super friendly. This would be a good place for party of 6-7 with dog(s) who needed to be in the area.

Home was clean ans close to what we needed (state softball playoffs). The dock provided ample room for fishing and the girls even found a tiny box turtle. Ducks were in the yard each morning. I would say bring conditioner and laundry pods. The pool table was nice too one the mosquitoes started in.

Will definitely be back!

The home was a little dirty and some parts were dated. Upstairs was roped off and “closed” for remodeling I can only guess. The updates in the house were very nice. Very spacious. Was provided everything we could possibly need for our stay including a full size washer and dryer. The proximity to the lake and to downtown was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway for a Family

The well-kept home has all the amentities you could want for a vacation getaway. Plus the A/C was cold and the water was hot. We spent most of our time going to sites and adventures in Hot Springs and Mt. IDA so we didn't take advantage of all the games and water access that were available at the property. Our contact (Jim) even offered some extra perks to enjoy the local waterways. Being able to sit on the dock as the sun went down and the bullfrogs started singing was a truly relaxing event every night.

Awesome Rental!

Our family included two adults and three children with more than enough room! The rental was very clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed the pool table and board games. They were also able to safely magnet fish off of the dock. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. I felt safe our entire stay there. This is an all around very relaxing atmosphere. This rental included up to date refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Communication with the property owner was super great! I definitely recommend!

Quick getaway

Wished we would have had a lil more time! This place had all kinds of water equipment to use in the lake just right out the back door! The game room was awesome and the games for outside! I loved the fenced in yard. The neighborhood dogs noticed newbie’s in the neighborhood and barked every time we took our fur babies out side. The place was perfect! Can’t wait to come back when the derby is not going full blast! Next family trip!!!

Great getaway!

- kitchen space (counters, fridge, dishwasher) - AC in fine working order. tested it to its limits (heat index of 106°!) - Covered porch was lovely - None of the critter problems that were mentioned in the guest book - Pool table was great - Love all the ceiling fans (labeled pull chains for fan vs light) - Washer/dryer worked great - Dog poop bags on the porch is a genius idea - Plenty of fresh clean towels - Plenty of cleaning products - Love the scents of all the hand soaps

Great place to relax.

The 5 of us (my husband, myself, my mil and our 2 kid 11&9) had an enjoyable time. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in, plenty of extras (condiments, salt and pepper, spices, laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner). Beds were comfortable, I absolutely loved the game room. We played several games of pool. My kids enjoyed the board games and tv as well. The deck was great to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the views from the lake. My kids each caught 5 fish each and were super excited about it. The water was pretty dirty so we didn’t swim but I’m sure that’s part of being in a cove/ with storms and such. Should we ever be in the area again we would Definitely use their rental if available! Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay. Also! They provided tons of info about the area which was very helpful in us finding a great swim beach at Lake Catherine to swim.

Nice location but can't enjoy the lake due to neighbor's dogs

The house is on a cove/inlet of Lake Hamilton and close to Hot Springs activities. We couldn't enjoy the lake due to the next door neighbors pack of non-stop barking dogs, so that was a real bummer since we rented on the lake to enjoy the lake. The house feels roomy and the living room furniture was actually comfy. The house is missing a few conveniences like hooks for bath & kitchen towels and a nice shower liner. Also, bring your own bath towels and bath mats. Each bathroom had two bath towels, one hand towel and two-four wash clothes...no spares anywhere to be found. One of the rules was to put towels in the wash and start it up but we couldn't wash them since no laundry soap was provided. This house has the makings of a great place to stay based on location and the home but owners need to invest in some towels, shower liner & towel hooks and better yet, have a serious talk with the neighbor about their pack of dogs.

Expected more

This is an older house that is undergoing some DIY upgrades. The kitchen is sparcely equipped. There were no kayaks as mentioned. There was a newer dock but no means to tie a boat to it. The dining table, or what I think they are calling the dining table only seats four and not near the kitchen. There was a bar and four stools in the kitchen but no place we could all sit together. We did enjoy the pool table and patio. The beds and pillows were nice but no extra bedding to use the air mattress. We did experience either flees or chiggers from being on the lawn on the west side so be cautious with that. We ended up getting locked out from someone turning the deadbolt on the front door. The only means of unlocking the house is the front door electronic lock which doesn't unlock the dead bolt.

Paul, we want all our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you encountered some unsatisfactory issues. We've passed along your comments to the homeowner, and would like to share the following: - The owners apologize that their lake house didn't meet your expectations - The house was purchased recently, and the owners have put in extensive work replacing almost every surface, along with new countertops, appliances, furniture, mattresses, linens, and applying new paint throughout. They've also added two new air-conditioning systems. - They regret that when they had the dock surfaced with new yellowwood treated lumber, the contractor forgot to replace the tie-down cleats. They've arranged for the contractor to install them for future guests. - Thanks to your feedback, the owner is arranging to have a new patio table on the back deck that will seat six people, so guests can sit down together. - They were unaware of any flea or chigger problem, but they are having the lawn sprayed the week of this posting. - Your suggestions for kitchen items were appreciated, and the owners have been adding them to the home for guest convenience - Although this home isn't advertised as providing kayaks, the owner agrees that would be a good idea. They will be providing inflatable kayaks soon for guests to enjoy We, along with the homeowner, strive to provide excellent guest experiences. They appreciate all the feedback so they can continue improving upon them and ensuring all guests have a wonderful time with everything they need while staying at their Lake Hamilton Retreat. We're confident this home will continue hosting many happy travelers!

Lovely and casual

Overall the house and property was great! A few things could use some updating, including the beds. There were 4 adults (2 couples) staying in the house. The bed in the "queen room" dipped in the middle meaning my partner and I spent the nights readjusting. The king room was also uncomfortable. And just based on us testing the "kids" room, those beds weren't even worthy of being called beds, more like a nap mat. As some other reviews have said, the neighbors were kind of noisy and so were the dogs, but that didn't bother us. Everything else was great though!
