With full direct access to the beach, pool area, outside grilling, tennis court, coffee bar and piano lounge, your home away from home has all comforts and accommodations for a relaxing couples retreat or a fun family vacation!

Our Condominium has it it all for a private comfy stay for one to two couples or a small family. With a private bedroom that boasts a King bed and a living area with a Queen pullout sofa, make yourself at home while relaxing to the sounds of the ocean from the balcony. Kitchen is recently remodeled and ready for some home cooking. Walking into the apartment, you are welcomed with the views from the 11th floor balcony, truly a view that can't be beat! It was a nice condo. Great view from the 11th floor. The Bed had a very soft mattress that sunk in the middle. Beware you will get charged a lot for parking. It said 15 dollars. We were there from 4pm to 9am the next day and had to pay 38 dollars for parking. There had been a fire in one of the condos a while back and the elevators smelled like smoke still. Not the condo itself though.

The bed broke, we had to sleep on a sleeper sofa, Bathroom fixtures leaked. There where all kinds of extra charges when the listing said all charges included. The owner took at least 24 hours to reply and when told all of these things said oh i am really sorry.

Great value with specatular views

We took a quick trip to Galveston last minute over spring break and got lucky this property was still available. Although my husband is scared of heights we really enjoyed the view. The place was cozy and clean. Down sides to our stay: there was major construction at the property so the banging started earlier than we’d like for a vacation. Also the outside of the building torn apart from all the construction. Lastly, I would recommend this place if you have more than two people bc the pull out coach bed was really old so you can feel the bar in your back. The owners were great and offered recommendations upon check in and communicated instructions clearly.

Maintenance Problems

The condo is very nice, clean and everything you could ask for. The view is great. Enjoyed the pelican flying by. The first day there was just a trickle of water from the lavatory faucet. By the second day there was no water at the lavatory. By the end of our stay also just a trickle at the kitchen sink and shower. We were not given the Host contact as we always have before. We also could not get internet line in the living room TV. Probably because we are seniors and probably many of the renters will be also! With these problems fixed, the condo would be highly rated

Best oceanfront view

What a treat! This cute condo was perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for for our short weekend get away. The view was absolutely amazing! View of the ocean for miles and miles both directions. The property is very safe, the Property Manager is friendly, and the condo was perfect. It had everything we needed. It’s clean and nicely decorated. It matched the description on the listing perfectly. It’s centrally located on Seawall Blvd and close to everything. The owner was very quick to respond to our questions and very kind. I highly recommend #1102 at By the Sea for your oceanfront stay in Galveston. We will definitely be back, thank you.

Beach view was ok didn't like being above Seawall Blvd. the room was clean. The master bed had a caved in mattress it wasn't sleepable. There was no kitchen tools, can opener, bottle opener., no salt. The TV was very difficult to operate.

Misleading View of the Ocean and Beach

The view is gorgeous but you can only see the beach and ocean. The sound you hear is LOUD 4 lanes of fast moving traffic. You simply cannot hear the waves! My friend had no idea I spent over $1200 for only 3 nights but when I told her I was disappointed she said. It isn't bad but it looks run down and dirty! I had to fix the bathroom sink- clogged with nasty hair. I wrote and requested the couch sheets be fresh but sneezed for an hour the first night because of all the dust on the Non wrapped sheets sitting on a shelf in the closet. The floors were very dirty and I swept and mopped them before my friend arrived. That's when I found the broken, dangerous tile under the rug in the main thoroughfare. 3 lamps and a closet light with 1 burned out and 2 missing and no stopper for the tub. I love a warm bath to relax!! Perhaps the owners were trying to be nice by leaving lots of stuff in the frig. But during COVID, I thought it was very inappropriate! I would never stay at this particular condo again!! The condo management was kind and very helpful. They let us know that it is NOT SAFE to leave your car in the front and showed us how to get to the gated parking lot.!
