Salt Air Cottage offers plenty of options for the most essential reason guests visit: relaxation! Take in the ocean views from sprawling lounge chairs on the wraparound deck and enjoy water views from every room in the house. Outdoor dining options include patio seating and picnic tables. Be sure to make time for a short nap listening to the rush of the waves from the hammock!

Inside, your private retreat is updated with designer decorative touches, newly updated furniture and elements that invoke Galveston's storied history.

The cottage is updated with conveniences that include a new kitchen appliances, crisp updated linens, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor shower. You can pack light when you come to Salt Air Cottage - it's appointed with everything you need for an escape to the beach, including boogie boards, bocce ball, sand toys, and more.

We have 2 cameras outdoors underneath the house to protect your vehicles and against uninvited visitors. No cameras are upstairs, in the house or in private areas.

Second visit

This was my second time staying at Salt Air and both times have been wonderful. You can’t beat the proximity to the beach, the house is well equipped and Stevie is very communicative. Will be back!

Great Location needs TLC

The location is amazing, you are literally on the beach. You drive on the beach to get to this location. Although, When we pulled up, we almost left immediately. The main support beams for the structure of the house look like they are rotted and about to collapse at any moment. The outside of the cottage looks in really bad shape. My family stayed in the truck and I went up to inspect the house and make sure it wasn't dangerous. The stairs going up are falling off. After inspecting the structure, we decided to go ahead and stay. To be honest we were a bit worried, our entire stay, about the structural integrity of the house. Once inside, the cottage is very cute. The cottage is decorated very well. Very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen is really well stocked with most everything you would need. There was no can opener, which we purchased from dollar general down the street and left at the cottage for future guest. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The couch could use a steam clean. It feels a little grimy and dirty. We had fun playing board games. We couldn't let our toddler on the porch bc she almost fell through the hand rails. Code for hand rails is 3.5" between rails. These are about 12" apart. Maybe adding an additional board horizontally at the bottom would keep little ones from crawling or stumbling off the edge. The views are amazing, highly recommend a cup of coffee or tea on the patio to watch sun rise.

Doesn’t get any better in Galveston

Hands down the best experience we’ve had on the island. We’ve come as a family 2-3 times a year for the last 20 years and this beach house made for one of the most fantastic trips ever. Great host, amazing location, picture perfect views.

great weekend trip. perfect location. the only thing i would recommend to the owner is to make the location of the lockbox a little clearer. we did find it, but it took 5-10 minutes or so. maybe even text a picture of the lockbox location to future renters.

Perfect getaway!

This house is amazing - clean, pretty and fully stocked with anything a guest may need. It has amazing view of the gulf. The house is all glass on the front which meant each bedroom has a gulf view. Bermuda beach is a great location. Close to town, but not in town. The owner was in contact throughout the stay and certainly there for us had we needed her. I am going to go back next year and I highly recommend this property!

Great getaway cottage in an awesome location

This is one of the best equipped vacation homes we've stayed in. It's very comfortable, cute, and the beach is literally at your door. It's an older property (it survived Hurricane Ike) but don't judge a book by its cover. When you are on the deck enjoying the waves crashing feet away from you, or sauteing fresh shrimp in the well equipped kitchen, or lounging on the sofa enjoying the view, it's all good. Excellent hosts and easy departure We'll definitely return. Thinking same time next year. Close enough We will return.

Location Can’t be Beat!

We had such a wonderful time! The house is ON THE BEACH! We sat on the front porch and enjoyed watching the ocean for hours! Practically had the beach all to ourselves. Such a restful time.

The best there is !

Literally the most elegantly decorated house we've stayed at in Galveston ! Quality linens, soft furnishings, crockery, cutlery and furniture. So many thoughtful touches - books, throws, room sprays, games and bathroom goodies. Fabulous covered deck with comfy seating options. Bathrooms and bedrooms are cozy. Owners couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. Wish it wasn't so popular so it could be available to us more often though !!!

This house was absolutely perfect!!!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we picked a great place to stay. All of the ammenities were there, the house was fully stocked with plates, silverware, cups, coffee cups, you name it. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. We were a party of 6 and it was a great fit for us. The deck on this place and the views from every room on this house was stunning!!

Perfect beach get-away

This cottage was absolute perfection. Right on the beach. Beautifully decorated. Well stocked with linens and kitchen items. Comfy beds. The deck is incredible. Can't say enough! We've been coming to Bermuda Beach for over 10 years, mulitple times a year, and Salt Air is one of the best places to stay. Book it. Book it NOW! You will be so glad you did!

Lovely and quaint

Salt Air Cottage tops the list in cleanliness, comfort and location. Cleanliness and comfortable beds are of upmost importance to us - I'm giving it 5 stars! We loved the covered porch, spectacular view and short steps to the beach. This home definitely has a coastal vibe that makes you feel far from home. Lovely little details will be memorable. If all of this wasn't enough, Stevie is the most gracious host ever. Thank you for our stay.

Salt Air Cottage

Fantastic waterfront property just steps from the beach. Very comfortable and well-appointed with comfortable seating areas inside, on be wrap-around porch, and underneath the house. Full sets of cookware and barware. Plenty of towels and blankets. Outdoor shower is a bonus after time at the beach. Recommend without hesitation. Enjoy!

Great Girls trip

Everything we wished for and more. I have stayed in other Houses in Galveston but none of them compete with this place. From all the little touches to being right on the ocean and when I say right on the ocean I mean you are are right at the oceans door. I could go on and and on but you must stay here to understand what I’m saying. We will definitely be back.

Perfect beach getaway

This home was the perfect beach property for our couples retreat. The ocean views and sunrises were amazing. It came fully stocked and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The home was both beautiful and very clean.
