Quiet, clean, and beautiful. Check in and check out was very easy. When we arrived, the house was clean and inviting. Everything is beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. The walk to the river was a little further than expected, but the walk was fantastic.

Beautiful cozy cabin

Our stay was pretty close to perfect. Everything was clean, and beautifully decorated. The wi-fi worked great, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and we even had a friendly little cat visit us outside regularly. It was a little smaller than expected, but not a huge deal. The water pressure in the shower needs to be addressed, as it is pretty low. The walk to the river is a little longer than expected as well, but the walk was nice, as the area is beautiful. Overall, it was a great place, and we enjoyed our stay.

Weekend stay

The house was great. Everything was clean. Love the fact it was dog friendly with dog dishes, outdoor kennels and even a toy. The neighborhood was a little on the unsure side with an abandoned house on one side and a trailor that shared a driveway behind the house. There were dogs next door on the otherside that barked at times. It was mostly quiet and the neighbor kids were nice. Not too far from Petoskey where we were all weekend for a soccer tournament.

Nice spot for dog friendly stay

Comfortable home in quiet neighborhood and close to skiing which was our objective. Caters to dog owners in a pleasant way. Easy check in and check out.

Sweet & cozy getaway cabin

We stayed here for the week, while skiing at The Highlands, just 15 min away. It was easy to get in and out, and a cute little cabin. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and the shower has great water pressure. Kind of an interesting neighborhood...but nice that it was close to town and just 10-15 min from Harbor Springs & Petoskey.

Fantastic Vacation Space

We both work jobs that are fairly stressful, so whenever we can get away we prefer a space that lets us focus on our time together. We like to sample local culture, but the main event is always time together to be comfy and to enjoy each other. This cabin checks a lot of boxes...it's spotlessly clean, roomy, and easy to enjoy. High-quality materials and finishes, as well as comfy touches, are apparent throughout...every room and every fixture are well-detailed. Kitchen is fantastic, and the big table is a centerpiece for dining, quiet conversation, post-shopping sorting and enjoyment; and when duty calls, it's a great place to set up a quick mobile office. Of the two available bedrooms, we chose the larger one; mattress is firm and VERY comfortable. Harbor Springs and Petoskey were minutes away, and we enjoyed them both. We'll be back!

Great Up North Getaway

My husband and I stayed here with a couple of friends for a long weekend and we had a great time! The house is in great proximity to Charlevoix, Petoskey & Harbor Springs. Check in and check out was super easy, the house was very clean, and the spacious kitchen made it easy to cook meals in.

Loved our stay for family vacation!

We stayed here with our two children (ages 2 & 4) and two boxers. Our pups are well mannered, but this was the first year we'd brought them on family vacation with us, so we were a little nervous about them adjusting to a new environment. The cabin was so comfy and clean! It had everything we could have needed. We all felt right at home. Our kids found the coloring book stash and puzzle drawer as soon as we arrived, so they stayed busy while we unloaded and unpacked. They also loved all of the duck/hunting decor. I think it was the highlight of their trip. We will definitely book again if we return to the area. 10/10 recommend.

Cute Home

Cute home close to town and other areas. We have family in the mini-home park just across the road, so it was easy access to see them and go back and forth. The neighbor kids were friendly with my son and helped us navigate to the park and the bakery. Overall a great experience, would recommend again!

This was a great stay! The cabin was Beautiful, clean and cozy! It had everything that made our stay feel right at home. Very close to town without having that “in town” feel. Other reviews mentioned it not being in the best neighborhood…I thought it was a cute neighborhood, no problem with neighbors or anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Hidden Gem!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem, conveniently located between Burt Lake & Petoskey in Alanson, MI. The house has plenty of space for vehicles, even room for vehicles plus a trailered boat! * The house is super clean and modern, perfect for a small group or family.Sleeping was comfortable for 5 or 6 people; but really not more than 6 people since there are only 2 beds in 2 bedrooms. The couch was super comfy and pulls out to sleep 2 plus a very large comfy chair to match!* The kitchen is modern with every convenience needed, I felt like I was at home!* No firepit or nor grill outside, but plenty of parks in the area. After a long day out-and-about, we didn't even have the energy for campfire. It was nice to be in an air-conditioned comfortable house! *** Most Definitely recommend this house & owner! The owners were very welcoming with notes around the place to answer any questions upon our arrival, along with a book of details for things in the area.

Clean and Updated - time for new mattresses

Overall we had a nice stay. The property is is clean and updated. The pics are exactly what we got. Two points to consider: 1. It's time to update the mattresses. They are spongy soft. We all woke up sore because of lack of support while sleeping. 2. there is not much there as far as the neighborhood goes. Neighbors were fine and overall it was quiet but we did all of our day trips in Petoskey. That is a 15 minute drive just fyi. The large table was great for breakfast and games at night. One final note that my adult kids were laughing about, the lock was unusually hard to operate. It's a combination of key and digital buttons. It took a while to get the lock to work and then get the key out. My girls would wait in the car while I struggled with the key. It became the running joke for the weekend. I'm gonna chalk this up to operator error but there were no instructions and I'm generally a pretty handy guy. Hope this helps

Don't stay

The outside area was unkept. The neighborhood location was terrible. Though it was obvious the interior had been updated, the furniture was old and worn. This is definitely not worth the price paid

Quaint cabin!

Quaint cabin not too far from downtown Alanson. Quick drive to Petosky (20 minutes) & Pellston with a 30 minute drive to Mackinaw City. Cabin is exactly as pictured with enough amenities in the kitchen to cook a full meal.

Not really recommended for non-pet owners. Everything worked except we couldn't make the AC/Heat unit work. Furnishings were fine.

Inside was very nice ,but out side wasn't as neat. Property needed the lawn mowed and some other manicuring. The dog kennel was not a very pretty sight either.
