Harbor Springs 2 Bedroom Cottage Close to Boyne Highlands & Nubs Nob

Located between Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands, this quiet cottage is tucked back in the woods and ready for your vacation. You will be just a short drive away from golfing, skiing, beaches, zip lining, horseback riding and much more. This property is only a 10 min drive from Harbor Springs and 12 min from Petoskey. Both towns offer great shopping, activities, casual and fine dining.

This cottage has 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom downstairs with a queen bed. Upstairs loft has 3 full-sized beds. Living area has a 48" flat screen TV and dedicated high-speed internet, hardwood floors, A/C , forced-air natural gas furnace and a wood stove. Kitchen is well-equipped with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee-maker and toaster. There is a cozy outdoor patio outback with propane and charcoal grills and a firepit for evening bonfires.

Winter get away

We stayed for 3 weeks to enjoy northern Michigan snow sports. We enjoyed our time in this cute cottage with very responsive and helpful hosts.

The cabin worked. It was enough to enjoy our stay in Petosky and Harbor Springs. The complaint I have is that the cabin wasn’t very clean. A broken screen on the back door being held together by duct tape. A bit of trash around the cabin and the weeds around the cabin we’re becoming over grown. Easy check in and check out. Owners left us nice instructions for the cabin.

Nice quiet location. Kind of dirty (found dried up pizza on one of the kitchen drawer's exterior), especially in the bathroom and it smelled of animals in the entire place. If you're good with that, it will do the trick. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Perfect get a way

Cute northern cottage close to town

The cottage was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Close to town for Harbor Springs and Petoskey area. Close to Tunnel of Trees and we enjoyed ourselves very much, will stay again.

Cute little house in a great central location with friendly hosts. We were able to go to Mackinac Island, Petoskey, & spent a rainy day at Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark. Lots of options for things to do all within a 40 minute drive.

Fall Getaway

The cabin was very comfortable and well outfitted for our Fall Getaway. We could walk our dogs nearby, easily drive into Harbor Springs, and explore the surrounding area. The kitchen had what we needed for cooking meals we had planned (and had a few bonus extras), and three main room was very comfortable for quiet evenings.

“Base Camp" Chalet

Somehow feels like your away from it all but right by all you need.. ski eat sleep Very comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen was well equipped. That is very important IMO. Looking forward to booking again.

Gem in nature

The property was in a secluded area, tucked away in nature, and John is so thoughtful, every component of a skiing, trip or hiking trip is available in the cabin. We had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed, sitting out by the fire pit in the evenings.

Home away from Home

The first picture you see say Home away from Home And its true. The cabin is warm and comfortable and we were greeted with a hand written note, candy, treats for the dogs and frosted mugs. John and Diana were friendly and responsive. The location is incredible, minutes from the slopes and 20 min to Wilderness State Park or Petoskey - Comfortable and relaxing

Family Golf Outing

The property is in a lovely wooded area. Dianna and John are so hospitable! The outdoor space is lovely. The kitchen is well stocked, it was great when we forgot a spice and it was there. They also made our cat Cassandra feel very welcome. The proximity to Boyne Highlands was great because that was where the rest of the family was staying. Looking out the window with all the animals is like a Disney Princess film.

Our excellent stay.

Property Listing was accurate and photos were accurate-we did not use the technology TV’s and Blue Tooth connection we honestly used this place as a base as we were out most of the time. The outdoor fire pit felt like we were camping up north and we loved it. Having citronella oil and lots of firewood was a wonderful perk. Weather was not excessively hot and the rooms cooled off after a while but having full air condition in the lower level and possibly a dishwasher would enhance the experience.

Tracy loved the back patio for dinners, Clean Cozy stay...Owner's notes were excellent. Snacks/stocked fridge (Coffee cream/ butter/ Popsicles!) and the Keurig Coffee maker =wonderful additions. No major issues in anyway. John showed us a little trail back into the neighborhood to walk the dog -- very helpful. Maybe a sign out front ? or notes that Yellow siding Red Roof apt is the landmark for the driveway?

Harbor Springs Cottage

This property works wonders for anyone that has trouble packing light. It has just about anything you may have forgotten and more stored somewhere inside. Also just a very short drive away to a convenience store to pick up milk and such. The only thing lacking would be a little more light as when you are in a different place and digging thru your luggage for items a bright light would be a plus. It met our needs for just a short drive to the Mackinac Ferry and also short drive to Charlevoix for a little shopping. An honorable mention - short drive to the wonderful Cafe Sante. Thanks

Nice private get away

My husband, 8 year old son and I enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed the beaches in town and it was a nice area to explore. We were also close enough to Petoskey and Mackinaw to explore those areas as well. There were plenty of beds and the owner left a good impression on us with some treats and instructions for everything. Some of the other reviews gave me the impression the property was in the middle of the woods and it is but it's not as rural as I had expected. Despite this, it was quiet and private with a small clearing in the back for the deck and fire pit. The house has a rustic feel and a lot of character and could use some improvement but the price is good compared to other properties in the area. My only complaint is that the floors were dirty in some areas and not up to my standards. Except for some cobwebs everything else appeared to be clean and well kept. I'd also like to note I didn't see any bugs inside except a spider, which is good for being in the woods. Would stay here again if we got the chance to.

Definitely had pet friendly elements which were not used or needed by us since we didn't bring a pet along for our trip. The house was impressive and had a welcoming vibe. Cabin style/rustic quality which truly reiterated the overall theme that we enjoyed of feeling "off the grid" and able to be in-sync with the surrounding nature. We did NOT ski, but I'm sure this would've been a great location had that been the purpose for our trip. We instead came for a birthday retreat to the Tunnel of Trees. The consideration that was shown by our hosts was highly appreciated and felt as tho they "pulled out all of the stops" to insure that we were comfortable and cared for. Huge appreciation from me to you for the birthday inspired trinkets and adds that y'all provided. Rest assured that my lady was appreciative of your attention to detail as much as I was.

The location is great and we really enjoyed having our two small dogs with us. The place is tiny and it would be uncomfortable sharing the bathroom with anyone other than my spouse. The first floor bedroom has a very comfortable mattress. I slept well, despite being used to a King bed, this is a queen. The one negative was there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The owners were super nice and very easy to check in and out.
