House and hot tub were great. Kiffany was very responsive with check in communication and after check out. I hope they liked the way we left the house and that we were good guests. We did not let them know about the dishwasher. probably have already replaced the filter and it is fine. We just decided to hand wash. That was our choice. I would stay there again if in the area.
We loved the property location and ATV trails available. The hot tub was lovely after being out in the chilly weather all day. It was a very relaxing trip.
I am so very pleased with the property! The place was absolutely gorgeous and amazing and the owners checked on us to make sure our stay was unforgettable and it sure was!!! Absolutely amazing and by far the best vrbo we've ever stayed in. also also
Best place to stay while scoping out areas to move.
This place was paradise after a 2 day drive. It was a great place to come back to after a long day of scoping out areas we are considering moving to. It had everything we needed, and more. The peace and quiet was an added bonus. Very clean, plenty of space, comfortable temperature, all the necessary amenities!
Very nice location. Great place to hangout with our family (grand children). We had a good time fishing in the lake for some monster trout, enjoying the great outdoors and visiting the surrounding areas. Beautiful country. Very high on my return list to visit.
This wonderful house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood down a path from mountain trails and easy drives to National Forest highlights. At the home, we enjoyed the stars from the deck and the comforts inside. Mountain towns nearby gave us plenty of dining options. The hosts were great with quick responses and helpful information. We'd love to go back!
Home was very clean and extremely comfortable! They were so helpful with all of our questions! We saw wildlife every day of our stay! We definitely will be staying again!
We would definitely come back and stay here we all loved it there's moose to be seen a creek that runs through the property it's an awesome stay. The host was very helpful with anything that was needed.
Good stay overall and the house has ample space for a big family. Washer died while we were there and couple other minor issues. Very responsive to questions or concerns through out the process
Tiffany was very responsive to all of my messages. Very easy to work with. Not one problem with anything. The home was very comfortable, clean and set in such a neautiful, quiet surroundings. Our time went way to fast. We will difinetly will be a repeat customer.
The house is lovely with lots of big windows that let in the natural light. The community is a bit out of the way, but it's very quiet and the hiking trails were a nice way to start our mornings. The new hot tub was a nice for relaxing at the end of a busy day. We saw several moose, including a mama and two babies in the lake as we were coming back to the house. Also had two young males trot through the property as we were enjoying the hot tub. Communications were easy and questions were answered very quickly.
We had an amazing time in this cozy cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook meals. I loved the location and fishing in the trout pond. Our college daughter and 6 year old daughter shared a room. Our high schooler and 7 year old sons bunked up. It was a perfect fit and it was large enough to escape each other by utilizing the extra downstairs living room. My only criticism would be the beds and pillows. They werenât the most comfortable but it did the job. Thanks for sharing your home! We would 100% book again!
The house was roomy, and beds were comfy. We did have some issues with the washer not working, but the property manager was very responsive to the issue. Also, we had to buy toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and I had to ask the property manager for trash bags and dishwasher detergent, after we discovered there was none. The owner explained that they think the last people to stay took many things from the house. It was frustrating that the house was not well stocked, but I was thankful that the property manager was responsive and apologetic. We loved the location and the hot tub was great too!

Displeased and disappointed
A Beautiful mountain view, tranquil atmosphere and lovely family vacation RUINED! Falsely advertised that the home is âfully stockedâ I had to take a 30 minute drive to town to purchase items like toilet paper and trash bags. After I checked out the host shamefully accused me, my 16 and 12 year old daughters of doing drugs because of bloody tissues in the trash and a âwhite powder substanceâ that was found in a drawer.
Floor to ceiling windows with no curtains or blinds. Itâs cooler outdoors in 85 degree weather than inside the house. No duvets on any of the blankets. Skin and hair from other people are on YOUR bedspread. Ummmm ⊠Of course there will be trash in the bins after a one week stay with a family. Of course we left some items in the sink; the dishwasher was full and we ran the cycle to be helpful. The grill was dirty and not usable. Cabinets of âstocked suppliesâ are unorganized and full of outdated items. Green SLUDGE in the hot tub. ZERO lights outdoors to feel safe and keep animals away. HOT HOUSE.
âA+â for the scenery.
âFâ for guest bedrooms, stocked supplies, being blamed for garbage that was left from the stay before, working functions of the home and the rudest host. I actually left 1 full day early (we didnât feel safe or comfortable) and she still had the gumption to charge me extra for cleaning and not refund the extra day.
This VRBO is a joke.
The cleanliness issues we ran into were extensive. The king bed sheets were clearly unwashed, with hairs and dirt in the bed. There were multiple long black hairs in both bathtubs and bathrooms, filthy fridge with sticky handprints on the front, trash behind the couches, filthy microwave and oven, old coffee grounds in the coffee maker, and dirty dishes put away in the cupboard. Everything we touched was dirty. The hot-tub had not been cleaned in weeks. It was slimy and smelly, and had an oily feeling on all the surfaces.
On the second day, we brought up these issues with the owners and sent them pictures. They refunded the cleaning fee plus $50 for the hot tub, and offered to send out the hot tub guy to clean it the next morning. While working, the hot tub guy unlocked the front door, and came into the house unannounced. My wife was alone at the time, and felt very unsafe and creeped out. When we brought it up to the owners later that day, they were very dismissive. We only had a usable hot-tub for 2 out of the 5 days we were there, which made the refund they offered feel insufficient compared to the amount we paid to stay there.
The house also has 2 undisclosed cameras. One is a ring door bell on the front door, and the other is on the back of the house pointing directly at the hot-tub. When we walked outside in our swim suits and noticed it, we were pretty creeped out since it wasn't shown anywhere on the listing, and we were not told about it.
Overall we felt cheated out of a vacation, paying almost $400 a night for a gross house and hot-tub, that we could never feel comfortable in. We were so excited to enjoy our time in the woods, unfortunately the lack of cleanliness and overall dismissiveness from the hosts really made this trip a nightmare.
We loved staying at the cabin, especially enjoyed the hot tub after skiing. The huge windows in the living room were fun to watch the stars and falling snow. Pretty amazing to watch a large moose grazing from the hot tub.
I canât say enough about our stay in this home and about the area. Our family of 6 included myself, my husband, our 3 kids (14, 13, 8) and our German Shepherd. We frequently vacation in Summit and Park county all year round, but Black Hawk/Gilpin County really spoke to us. We appreciated the remoteness (however it was easily accessible) and the fact that the nearby towns were not crowded.
The home is stocked with everything you need, from the bedrooms to the bathrooms to the kitchen. Each bedroom has high ceilings and a closet. We cooked dinner each night and had every pot, pan & utensil we needed. We appreciated the card and board games, as well as having plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. The hot tub is a real treat. The fact that you can bring your dog is very important to us, and our dog enjoyed his stay as well. Our stay was over the Christmas holiday, and the cabin was decorated with Christmas decor and a Christmas tree.
When we arrived there was no snow, but throughout our stay we received around 8 inches of snow. As long as you have a four wheel drive vehicle, you should be fine navigating the roads to the house. Andrew & Kiffany weâre very responsive and checked in to see if we needed a snow plow for the driveway.
We did have some issues with the WiFi, but that is to be expected in the mountains. We are T-Mobile customers and had absolutely no cell coverage, but my husbandâs work phone is AT&T and worked just fine.
The property has space to roam, and although you have neighbors, you really donât notice them. There is a hiking trail just down from the property, which is so convenient if you like to hike. There are a couple of small markets 10 minutes or so from the home, but we grocery shopped in Nederland, which is roughly a 20 minute drive. Nederland is a cute little mountain town that has shopping, dining & even an outdoor ice skating rink. It is also very near to Eldora Ski resort. Eldora is by far our favorite place to ski and offers plenty of green runs (our kiddos are not the best skiers). Eldora does also offer harder runs and has the Woodward ski park, but for our family, we appreciated the easier runs. Boulder was only about 45 minutes away, as well as Idaho Springs. If you like to gamble, the casinos in Central City & Black Hawk are only 15 minutes away.
This truly was a âmountain retreatâ for our family. We were sad to leave, but hope to be back in the future!
