Pour ceux qui veulent être situé au centre de choses merveilleuses Front Range du Colorado a à offrir, ceci est une grande base pour vos aventures. Allez faire du ski, observation des oiseaux, la randonnée, le vélo, la pêche à la State Park et bien plus encore. Il est situé dans les montagnes à moins de 1 heure de Denver, Boulder, et Rocky Mountain National Park donc il y a beaucoup des excursions à prendre dans toutes les directions! Le nouveau County Recreation Center Gilpin dispose de 2 piscines et un toboggan, des classes et des installations d'entraînement.

Sibling Weekend

The property location is stunning and feels off the beaten path but still convenient to towns close by. I was surprised at how clean it was for an older home. It was spacious and comfortable and the hummingbirds were delightful.

A peaceful and magical spot

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking to just get away from the city and be immersed in nature and that is exactly what we got here. The lake brings within viewing distance all kinds of animals. So many hummingbirds, dragonflies, bunnies and chipmunks, and we also saw a few moose across the lake! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a recharge with natures surroundings.

Way Up There!

The cabin is very nice and clean inside. We were disappointed that it was very grown up trying to get down to the lake and that side of the lake was so overgrown in the water that my husband couldn't fish there. Also, it was quite a ways from everything, so we spent a lot of time driving. The altitude messed with my husband's sleeping, but overall, it was a nice stay. Kristine was great to work with!

Very Peaceful Getaway

Beautiful location with great views. The property is a little dated but well cared for and well equipped. If you are looking to be a bit off the beaten path and enjoy short jaunts to the various parks then this is a great spot for you. I would stay here again.

Lakeside Stay

We enjoyed our stay & had a great time exploring the area (hiking, fishing, & kayaking)! The views from the deck are amazing & we really enjoyed hanging out there together! The cabin was very comfortable & clean and we were able to make most of our meals there. The kitchen is well equipped!

Beautiful mountain getaway

This property has all the comforts of home and then some. Great view and peaceful surroundings. We found plenty to do to entertain my teens. Property owner was super responsive and caring as we stayed there during a wild snowstorm. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in regularly. You will not be disappointed staying at this beautiful home!

Visit to Colorado School of Mines

My second time to stay at this gorgeous cabin. Only 16 miles from Golden, through the State Park so windy roads take a bit longer but the views are amazing. Very relaxing place to unwind.

Beautiful cabin with a picture-perfect view of a lake and the mountains

We stayed for two nights when the aspen had turned to gold. We enjoyed very much the panoramic view from the sitting room and deck of the lake with the mountains and trees...made perfect by a visit to the lake by a bull moose in the morning to bid us goodbye. The house had everything we required - highly recommended!

Sweet mountain retreat

We had a GREAT time on a beautiful property in the mountains. This was a unique property next to a mountain lake with great views all day. With clear skies all of our days, we were able to clearly see the milky way and hear a couple owls chatting in the evening. We would definitely return. Thanks to the owners!

Mother/Daughter Trip

We chose this property for a Mother/Daughter trip for our Moms 80th birthday. The house was amazing, stocked with all the amenities we needed, and offered a view that was unmatchable. It was a quiet and remote retreat, but was still centrally located to most of our planned activities. The wildlife visits by elk, moose and bald eagle were the icing on the cake.

Beautiful Location

This was our third visit in the past year and it didn’t disappoint. Enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening on the deck surrounded by mountain and lake views can’t be beat. We loved paddle boarding around the lake and going for walks in the area. The cabin feels like home and is nestled in a beautiful place. We will be back again!

Mountain magic

Just loved the place. All the comforts of home. We hiked as we hoped we would. The trek up to Blue Lake probably the highlight of the trip. Second Time and Still Lovely

This was our second time out and we loved it just as much. We had our first moose sighting! Kristine, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. The location is so peaceful. It is the perfect place to escape our busy lives. We will certainly be back again.

extended family getaway

Our family had a wonderful time at this mountain spot. Comfortable, beautiful views, and as convenient as you will get in the mountains. We really appreciated the information compiled by the owner that directed us to nearby Nederland -- a wonderful little town -- and to the nearby state park. The mountain bikes that were available were a nice surprise for the young adults. This was a great location to use as our home base for RMNP and Boulder/Denver activity.

Fantastic Late Winter Mountain Escape

First, the host, Kristine, was great to deal with (even rescheduling due to a last minute weather event) and the house was exactly as advertised. It's a beautiful location, the family had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely book again. One note, the neighborhood road is earth and steep, it was a bit of a challenge for our 2WD minivan due to mud/ice in sections.

Our stay was amazing, the house is super clean and convenient. It has all the amenities one might need. Kristin, the host was gracious and responsive, gave me alot of useful information about the area. I wish I could upload pictures to my review, because the ones on the listing DO NOT reflect the beauty of the location. The house has the most beautiful view of the lake from the living room, outside patio and master bedroom upstairs. The view alone is worth every penny. We will definitely be back!!!
