This apartment was perfect for our family trip. The unit was well appointed and the location was very convenient to the metro station, grocery stores, places to eat and drink. Our host answered all of our questions and the check in instructions were very clear! We especially appreciated that the host took the time to create a comprehensive guide to the area and we used several of her recommendations! Thank you!
The apartment was comfortable for our family of five. Host was great and checked in with us during our stay. Elevator was wonderful after long days of walking & sightseeing! We appreciated her letting us drop our luggage off early & setting up transportation from the airport. Highly recommend setting transportation from the airport ahead of time. The location was ok- not sure I would stay in this neighborhood in the future, but great apartment.
Wonderful place to stay. Location was excellent. Very comfortable rooms and very clean. The check in process was easy. Close to all transportation and easy to find. Love the short walk to Colosseum.
A beautiful, spacious apartment in a very convenient area. Comfy beds and great bathrooms. Lots of places to eat nearby and metro/bus access.
We loved it!
We loved the neighborhood, the comfortable beds and pillows, the dryer, the drivers who took us to and from airport procured by our host
! It was a delightful stay - lots of privacy for two couples!
The shower is tricky - very slippery and you could easily be scalded so take care!
The
The property is very nice and convenient. Groceries stores all around and great restaurants (Tratoria Vecchia Roma is a must! Better make reservations or come earlier to avoid the long line). Communication was very easy through WhatsApp!
Unfortunately the subway station was under renovation, once open, it will be great to access Termini, instead of walking there with luggage. The square nearby can be a little sketchy, so is the area near the train station.
The property was as advertised and the host was lovely and very responsive. The space was perfect for my family of five (three adults and two children, ages 10 and 11). The kids slept on the futons, while the adults had the main bedrooms. Each bedroom was spacious and the beds were firm and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to reheat leftovers and pull together a quick continental breakfast in the mornings. I read some reviews that mentioned problems with the shower temperature, but if you are patient the temperature will adjust just fine. The location worked well for us because we only spent one day in the center of the city. Because of our location outside of the touristy area, we didn't have a ton of street noise. (Although, if you are a light or early sleeper, you might benefit from some ear plugs because you can hear some conversations on the street until the restaurants close.) We were within walking distance of the Colosseum and the train stations, and everything you might need for your stay (pharmacy, grocery store, gelato, restaurants, a playground). The elevator was a huge benefit for my mom, because the apartment was on the 5th floor. We greatly appreciated the visitor guide that the host shared before our arrival. There were even a few small toys and cards for our kids to play with. All of these small touches made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this apartment and this host for your stay in Rome.
We stayed 3 nights prior to our cruise. The unit was very clean, beds comfortable. There is a small grocery store across street and excellent restaurants very close by. There is an elevator. We enjoyed our stay. We had no problem calling taxi or our driver for a tour. We would tell them to meet us at corner, just a few steps away, under pharmacy sign as it was easy for them to stop there. I would recommend staying here.
Place was well furnished with 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Only place in Italy weâve stayed at with a clothes dryer! Location was greatâŠ. Grocery store and Cafe on same block. Less than 5 minutes from several very nice restaurantsâŠ. Book Ahead! Elevator was convenient. I was able to drop luggage off for early check-in. 3rd party Vikey screening (Italy requirement) needs to improve their website and/or create a mobile device app. Overall 5 stars. Definitely would come back!
One of three properties owned and managed by a family with strong connections to the neighborhood. It's far enough away from the main tourist attractions to be quiet, but still only a 15-20 minute walk away from many. Plus just around the corner from the MA subway line (which takes you to the Vatican). Very clean and modern space with effective air conditioning (a welcome respite for our July visit!).
Had a minor issue in getting the check-in information through the VRBO interface, but was worked out quickly through direct contact.
The owners provided a great local's guide to the neighborhood and broader Rome. It would be nice if they could share it in advance of the stay as many of the great restaurant recommendations require reservations. I took pictures for our next trip to Rome, and we'll be sure to stay here again!
The apartment was as advertised and is in a great location for getting around by foot. It took a while to figure out the air conditioning, but then all was perfect!!Nicely appointed and quiet
Apartment was clean and spacious. We appreciated having a washing machine and dryer. The location was great, the metro station is a short walk from it.
This property is very spacious and was perfect for our family of 4. It is located in a great location with a fresh bakery/cafe downstairs and a mini grocery across the street along with great gelato and restaurants all close by. We loved going downstairs every morning to grab a freshly baked croissant and Capuchino for breakfast. It is a quick 10-minute walk to the Colosseum and Metro which will take you anywhere you need to go in the city! We would definitely return the next time we are in Rome.
Our accommodation was excellent. Clean, Spacious and very modern. The location was central to many of Romes famous attractions...walking distance, close to Metro and Roma Termini. Recommend place to stay
We didn't have hot water most part of our trip. When we reached out to the owner, we had no messages, no news, no solutions. So we had cold showers for the rest of our trip.
Overall, communication was very bad with the host, never received the link to checkin either.
Water for shower was problematic. It was very hard to adjust water temperature. It was either freezing or scalding. Would be difficult for children or elderly to manage. Could really use 2 luggage racks in each bedroom. Lovely neighborhood with lots of great restaurant options.
Took the Leonardo Express train from airport to Roma Termini (rail station) and walked to the apartment (about 10 min). Has two very large bedrooms with large Queen+ beds, and 2 pullouts in the living area. We were 4 adults and 3 kids under 7, and found it very comfortable (kids moved to pull-outs after they fell asleep at night, once adults were ready to go to bed). Several grocery stores nearby, and plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. We were able to walk to Trevi fountain and Colloseum from the apartment. Subway nearby for access to many attractions. Would most definitely consider staying there again when next we visit.
This was a little challenging to find at first. The building is a little confusing and we didn't have the greatest instructions on how to get into the right part of the building. The flat itself was really fun and, modern, and well stocked. We had 2 parents and 3 teenagers. This was a little tight for that, but we easily made due. Cooked a meal in the kitchen and found everything we needed except dish soap. The subway is right around the corner and very easy to navigate. This was remarkably straight forward and a very inexpensive way to get to much of old Rome. "Katmandu" is a little Nepal hole in the wall outside the building front door. It is a very good meal. We were able to walk to the colosseum and took the subway to the vatican.
Ciao, my name is Carola and I am here to make your vacation truly Roman! My family has lived in the 'Quartiere Monti' for 60 years and if you stay at our apartment, you will understand why we love it so much.
