Very nice accomodations. Very large studio apartment. Very large bathroom with lovely shower. Has a kitchen which is convenient. Check in and check out a little awkward. Otherwise had a good time.
This listing is perfect for a couple for a staycation or small, romantic getaway. There are tons of food places to eat in the area, and some great vendors across the street with street foods and desserts that were excellent! As for the occupants of the area, definitely a high traffic transient area w/ several tent camps ,staged directly across the street from the dead end . Made me a little nervous to walk around . There wasnât any parking immediately in front of the stay which I wasnât too happy about as the area made me worry for my car and belongings. It also took me a while to get the keys situated so keep in mind if you have dexterity issues, it may be difficult to lock and unlock two sets of doors several times a day. As for the walkway, a little bit of a death trap. Very narrow & uneven walkway, was hard to navigate in my evening attire. There also isnât any lighting until about halfway through the walkway so youâre in the dark for a portion of your walk to the back.
All in all I enjoyed this day I will say it was definitely very cold, so take advantage of the blankets in the closet and the tub was definitely a big reason we chose this stay. Iâm a tall gal and I fit perfectly so that was a plus since itâs rare that I can relax in a tub! Great stay for two people but for any more people, it may be a bit cramped.
All in All would give an 8/10 . Small improvements could be made to modernize the rental & make things more seamless . Otherwise my husband enjoyed himself!
Thought weâd never get the check-in info. Finally, at 2:27 PM the day before we planned to arrive, the property manager emailed the info. This was after multiple requests from us and Red Awning. Meanwhile, Red Awning stated that they could not guarantee us a place to stay if we didnât hear from the manager. Of course weâd paid in full at time of booking.
The front of the building photo is unrelated to the actual unit, and the outdoor sitting area there apparently belongs to that unit. The path along the side of the building which is used to access the unit is uneven; may be difficult for mobility-challenged folks to navigate.
Note that this is a studio; in effect, no living room. The studio opens onto an outdoor patio, creating an accommodating living space in nice weather. The sofa bed mattress needs to go to the dump; itâs the most uncomfortable mattress Iâve encountered. Heating unit works well.
When we arrived, the oven was on at 150 degrees. The refrigerator in the photos has been replaced by a much smaller one, still fine. There was lipstick on one of the coffee cups.
The spa-like shower was lovely, and the long vanity with dual sinks great. Didnât try the jetted tub. Toilet is in its own little room. Large walk-in closet had plenty of space to store all our stuff.
Fire safety issue - itâs not possible to exit the property onto the streetside sidewalk without having a key to unlock the gate.
We enjoyed walking into the neighborhood and to the beach so much. Casablanca and La Cabana both have tasty Mexican food. Whole Foods is directly across the street. Groundwork Coffee behind the grocery store is a fun place with good coffee and delicious sandwiches.
Cleaners arrived exactly at 10 AM as we were packing out. There was always space to park on this dead end street. Thatâs it, folks!
