La villa

Thalia Getaway est un hébergement de luxe indépendant et privé pour couples / familles et peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes avec trois lits Queen size et deux lits simples. Situé à 8 km de Murray Bridge vers Mannum sur le côté Adelaide de la rivière Murray dans Riverland Région de l'Australie du Sud.
À distance de marche de la rivière.

La Villa est sur 6 acres entourées de 100 arbres centenaires au poivre, de pins, et les gencives, il offre une retraite inhabituelle de style de vie moderne.

Thalia Getaway offre un mélange de pays vivant avec le luxe du confort moderne. La maison a été entièrement rénové avec cuisine moderne, salle de bains de luxe (avec baignoire double), inversion de cycle canalisé la climatisation et des feux de bois, mais toujours en conservant son charme d'hier.

Un généreux cuit et petit déjeuner continental est fourni pour votre premier matin, avec une bouteille de vin Langhorne Creek pour votre arrivée.

Speedway nationals murray bridge

Our stay was awesome. The house is beautiful an it had everything we needed.Not far to travel to the speedway or back into town.. easy to communicate with Richard & dianne. (The dog didn't visit so we went an saw him.Can highly recommend this property. The cranston family through the fence

Perfect Country Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thalia. From the welcoming bottle of wine, yummy breakfast supplies and friendly blue wrens and abundant bird life, we could not fault our stay. Access was smooth and easy, beds were comfy and the outdoor aesthetics absolutely charming. Would highly recommend.

Spectacular place to relax and unwind

Thalia getaway is a wonderful property steeped in character and history and surrounded by nature. My partner and I stayed for two nights and we were sad to leave! Richard and Diane were warm and welcoming hosts and made the remote check-in process smooth. On arrival we were instantly in love with the beautiful home and surrounding garden hosting a range of friendly bird life. There were many added touches that made the stay convenient and comforting such as the wood fire and supplies stocked, the breakfast foods and local wine. The DVDs made for a nice evening entertainment. There wasn't a single thing we thought the place was missing or we wished we were supplied by the hosts. It was truly a comprehensive service. Like other reviews, it's worth repeating that the photos simply don't do it justice. The architecture and renovation of the home has been done in a great way that balances a mix of modern and heritage - some of the interior pieces reminded me of the home I grew up in as a kid. We thank Richard and Diane for sharing their magical getaway and appreciate the love and care that has gone in to the place. Cannot recommend enough to others considering staying. We look forward to visiting again, hopefully for longer next time!

Wonderful heritage home in beautiful rural location

Highly recommended. Thalia was even better than the pictures. Everything you could need is provided. Generous fresh breakfast supplies, cooking implements, lovely heritage furniture, great big bath. Spacious. Lovely outdoor areas. Close to the river. Feel like you're in the middle of nowhere even though you're not far from Mount Barker or Adelaide. Lovely hosts. Thanks for having me!

A wonderful in a beautiful, tranquil part of the Murray

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at Thalia. The house has all the modern conveniences and has peace and tranquility from arrival to departure. The wood fire and excess of wood was greatly appreciated in the cold weather. It would have been helpful if we were asked how many rooms we required, as to have one locked was frustrating for a group of friends (not partners). Also the rain shower head was broken, but at least there was another to use.

Wonderful escape from the city

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thalia homestead. A beautiful place nestled amongst a gorgeous garden full of an abundance of bird life. Wonderfully relaxing

Our family stayed at Thalia Getaway for a long weekend and we were looking for a place to relax and unwind. This house definitely delivered. Such a beautiful well looked after historic stone home, in a gorgeous surrounding. Photos cannot capture the serene country atmosphere this place radiates. While we stayed we even had a friendly visit from the neighbors dog who was a great 'guide ' for our kids as they explored the property collecting lemons and wild watermelons.

Beautiful Getaway Property!

Thalia Getaway is a beautiful, tranquil location; the perfect spot for a quiet getaway. The house itself is a lovely combination of a rural country-style with all of the modern ammenities. The house is surrounded by outstanding scenery which increases the tranquility of the location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thalia Getaway and highly recommend it!

"Dare to dream"

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I came across Thalia quite by chance. At the time I was aged 50 and found myself suddenly unemployed. To pass the time I started scanning the paper for rural homes and fantasised about owning them and running a B&B. One day I decided to take a drive to Murray Bridge, a place steep in history and look at some properties in the town. Whilst wondering down the main street I came upon a realestate office, and there was this beautiful property up for sale. " I just had to go and see it"
A complete waste of time really as no bank would lend me the money to buy her as I had no job.
When I first saw Thalia I instantly fell in love with her.
Thalia was such a peaceful place at a time when my life was in turmoil. I had to show it to Di. Di to was enchanted by her beautiful garden and Blue wrens playing in the bushes. But the house was tired and in need of some major work to bring it back to its former glory. With no job this was just a dream.
Time went by and I tried to forget about Thalia, I found another job, but Thalia kept nagging in the back of my mind.
18 months had gone by "surely it must have sold" I contacted the owners, "It was still available" and now after many challenges restoring this property the rest is history.
We hope you enjoy Thalia as much as we do.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There are few properties that offer the luxury of modern living and yet in a rural environment that feels you are long way away from your busy life.
Far enough away from Murray Bridge to be truely peace full on its own private 6 acres just for you to explore and enjoy, yet close enough to go for a meal or shop and visit the Langhorne creek wine area.

When Di and I first found Thalia we instantly fell in love with the property. It had all the charm of an Australian 1910 Villa, but located on a pictures 6 acres with pepper corn trees , pines and gums that dated back over 100 years.
Whilst the house has been tastefully extended it still retains all its original charms from lath and plaster ceilings, lead light window, and a beautiful arch in the hallway.
Now equiped with a luxury bathroom, polished floor boards, and many hours spent restoring it, it is truely an enchanting home. Please take the time to sit out on the verandahs, enjoy a coffee and watch the blue wrens playing on the lawns and in the shrubs.
One of my favourite past times is to walk out side at night.
If its a moon lit night you will see the paddocks and trees bathed in the moons silvery light, if there is no moon you will be treated to a sky full of a million stars.
Every time of the year is a blessing at Thalia, Summer there is beautiful mild evenings with a cool breeze often coming up the river from Lake Alexandrina, sit out side and enjoy a barbecue. Autumn the nights are becoming crisp and the days mild I love the changing colour of the Glory vines on the verandahs, Winter is had to beat, sitting in front of the wood fire or listening to the rain on the iron roof. The house is warm, and the beds cosy with Alpaca quilts. Finally Spring,
Thalia comes to life in Spring with all the flowers and new growth as the days become warm.

I hope you to enjoy Thalia as much as we do, it is a very special place for us.
