Lynden est un chalet historique idéalement situé dans le centre de Trentham. Il offre un emplacement parfait pour les couples ou les familles à la recherche d'un week-end tranquille ou de vacances reposantes. Situé parmi d'autres maisons traditionnelles de planche à neige dans l'une des rues les plus historiques de Trentham, le Lynden Cottage se trouve à 3 minutes à pied du centre-ville, tout en étant à distance de marche de la magnifique forêt d'État de Wombat.

Lynden Cottage a été construit en 1884 et a été entièrement rénové tout en essayant de conserver son charme d'origine. Les sols ont récemment été polis. Une nouvelle cuisine offre toutes les fonctionnalités modernes, y compris un lave-vaisselle et un four micro-ondes, ainsi qu'une belle table en pin baltique pouvant accueillir 10 personnes. Il y a trois chambres pouvant accueillir 7 personnes, une avec un lit king size, une autre avec un lit queen size (et TV), et la troisième avec un lit superposé et un lit simple. Tous les lits ont des couvertures électriques. Il y a une machine à laver et la maison est située sur un grand bloc d'un demi-acre avec un grand trampoline rond sans ressort. Une cabane de mineur restaurée datant des années 1860 est juste derrière le chalet et est à la disposition des clients.

Nous acceptons les animaux. La cour est entièrement clôturée et sécurisée. Vous êtes invités à amener votre chien à l'intérieur, mais nous vous demandons de ne pas les amener dans les chambres, ni de les laisser sur les meubles. Nous vous demandons également de nettoyer autant que possible après votre animal de compagnie (par exemple les poils, les excréments).

Veuillez noter qu'un petit chalet à l'arrière de la propriété est utilisé, le week-end occasionnel, par mes parents. Ce chalet est situé bien loin de la maison principale et il y a un écran pour assurer l'intimité.

Trentham Falls, à plus de 30 m de haut et la plus longue cascade à une seule goutte de Victoria, est à seulement 2 km. Les sources minérales de Lyonville sont à 10 km, tandis que Daylesford, Kyneton et Woodend sont chacune à 20 minutes en voiture.

En quelques minutes de marche, vous avez accès à d'excellents cafés, à la boulangerie Red Beard et à l'hôtel Cosmopolitan.

Great property and accommodation

Lynden cottage perfectly located in Trentham. Comfortable, cosy and charming. Property was perfect for our dog, plenty of room to stretch out. Short walk in to town. Great fireplace and plenty of firewood as was needed due to cold and wet long weekend. But keen to revisit in warmer weather.

Lovely cottage exceeded our expectations

We stayed at Lynden Cottage for a weekend while we attended a family wedding. We absolutely loved the cottage, it felt very welcoming and homely. The first night was quite cold and it was a pleasant surprise to find the fire set and ready to go. We loved our stay and would definitely stay there again. Thanks Paul for your hospitality!

Such an amazing house in a perfect location. The house has everything you need for a wonderful getaway. Trentham has so many things to offer but the house and garden is so lovely you just won’t want to leave. I cannot wait to return for a longer stay.

Country comfort

Our second time staying at Lynden Cottage. We love it. It's a charming, comfortable destination for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway. And the dog loves it too with a large, fully secured yard. Arriving to a stacked fireplace ready to light is the icing on the cake. Highly recommend a visit!

Ambient Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in this heritage cottage. Plenty of heating, electric blankets, airco and wood fire and a dishwasher. Plenty of hot water in the shower set in an old claw foot bath. Very cosy cottage , large garden area and minerr were s hut bbq area, undercover parking, all around verandah.. very quaint and tge dog loved it too.

Wonderful Lynden! 💫

We were traveling to Trentham to go to du Fermier for dinner - we also travel with two dogs. This cottage was perfect! Walking distance to all that lovely Trentham has, great facilities and the dogs had as good a time as we did! Paul (host) was responsive, generous and professional.

Cottage with ambience close to town

We found Lynden cottage easily and the simple instructions gave us all the information we needed to light the wood heater, warm up and settle in. The lighting and paintings provided a warm cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is big and well equipped and there is an option to sit outside under the trees and bbq dinner. We were three adults and there was plenty of room and also privacy.

Gorgeous cozy stay in freezing Trentham!

This property was exactly as advertised, with a surprise trampoline in the massive backyard which was fantastic for our 2yo daughter and our dogs! Plenty of options for heating over what was a very cold weekend, very comfortable beds and pillows and all amenities one could need. Very close to the town centre, walking distance from everything in Trentham! We really enjoyed this house for a relaxing and quiet weekend away, our hosts were very helpful and when we needed them, we will be back.

The house block was amazing for our dog to romp freely around, in a secure space. Our dog loved it! It as also good to be able to park securely in the driveway, off the street. The kitchen area was great, with modern conveniences. Wifi connection was strong and consistent.The cottage was clean and comfortable. The bed in the main room was a little too firm. The fireplace was fantastic, well set up to light the fire easily and plenty of wood to keep it going. Overall, we were very comfortable in the space and enjoyed having close access to the Main Street, so that we could enjoy walking each day. Thank you.

Comfortable cottage

We had a lovely stay here, cosy, comfortable and everything you need. Great location , very quiet. My only feedback would be the cottage could do with some maintenance ,just little things such as ..... Front door was very hard to open/close. The backyard is a fantastic size, but lots of wood piles , tools, garden implements laying around which would be concerning to parents of young children. Just needs a little bit of TLC.

Many thanks Carol for your review and unique feedback. Not many people actually use the front door, but we will certainly attend to it. You would have noticed that we are currently restoring the old miner’s cottage behind the house. The recycled timber stored under the veranda is only temporary, and is being used for the restoration. The other wood stacks are firewood - a necessity for the wood heater inside, and a common occurrence in country gardens. The brooms and rakes kept inside the miner’s cottage are to keep things looking neat and tidy for our guests. Previous guests who actually did have young children have never brought up the same concerns you have, and have generally been impressed with the large garden and the opportunities it provides for young children.

Comfortable and relaxing

We stayed at Lynden Cottage at a time when our spirits were low and the peace helped us to relax. It was the first trip we took our little dogs on and they were very happy running around and exploring the property outside. The bed in the main bedroom was perfect. We assume the other beds are equally comfortable. The paintings throughout the house added extra charm and we wondered who the artist is (is it Paul or Jozette or another relative?). Thank you Paul and Jozette for making your cottage so welcoming. A lovely weekend in a lovely house.

Highly Recommended

Just spent ~1.5 weeks at the property in Trentham. Everything was perfect for my stay, the bed was super comfy, all amenities worked well including the internet. The yard is huge and well fenced for those with dogs. The street where the house is (and Trentham in general) is lovely and quiet, but there's plenty of options for food, shopping and of course there's The Cosmo all within an easy 5 minute walk. Paul was great to deal with and very prompt with his responses. If/when I come to Trentham again, ill be sure to look up this property first to see if it available.
