Cottage Shorefront à Northeast Harbor Maine

Situé sur Peabody Drive, entre les centres des villages de Northeast Harbor et Seal Harbor, cette nouvelle conception architecturale maison Shorefront offre des vues spectaculaires de l'Ours, Sutton et les îles de canneberges, ainsi que d'une plage privée de galets avec table de pique-nique et d'amarrage. Le chalet est à distance de marche des chemins de transport de l'Acadie et des sentiers de randonnée, un court trajet en voiture à son entrée Jordan Pond et, une plage de sable publique. La maison est bien isolée pour une année de retraite chaleureux et confortable.

Premier étage dispose d'un salon et salle à manger et spacieuse véranda Shorefront visage et l'océan. den privé avec queen, divan-lit et salle de bain complète adjacente. Une cuisine et une buanderie complète avec de nouveaux appareils.

Deuxième étage dispose d'une grande chambre de maître avec une grande, deux étages plafond cathédrale, lit king size, coin salon et de grandes baies vitrées. Master bain / dressing est équipé d'un bain à remous, douche et dressing. La deuxième chambre a deux lits jumeaux convertibles en un lit king-size, baie vitrée et salle de bains privative attenante.

Troisième étage a une bonne taille, l'étude ci-dessus Chambre principale, commande une vue de l'entrée de Northeast Harbor et contient un lit double.

great house with a great setting!

Everyone in our family loved this place. The view is exceptional and it is close to Northeast Harbor as well as Bar Harbor. Great place to stay!

Family vacation

What a beautiful setting and home! Our 3 young adult children had their own spaces and there was excellent communal space as well. The master bedroom is gorgeous. The host was very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Seals Repose. The location was close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The view was amazing, getting up every morning to a view of the water made my vacation!! Our host, Michael, was very responsive and provided timely details. We had everything we needed. I would 100% recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area.

I cannot add much to the other reviews! The location is excellent and gave us easy access to Acadia national park as well as Bar Harbor, and Northeast Harbor. The house has large windows that let in a lot of natural light. The homeowner provides outdoor seating so you can enjoy the spectacular views. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to relax

We loved the location of the Sea Harbor house. It was close to Bar Harbor and other smaller towns. We enjoyed the view from the house. Those big picture windows gave us a great view of the trees and the water. It was a very comfortable and clean house. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful view, everything we needed.

This house was perfect for our needs and the view was picture perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal or two and the family room and living room were very comfortable. We even had a memorable time sitting on the beach watching the stars and listening to the waves. It’s location close to one of the Park entrances was very convenient.

Magical location

The pictures can’t do this location justice. Wake up every morning to lightly rolling your waves and island views. A quick drive to Jordan Pond, Cadillac Mountain, and Bar Harbor. Mike was great and easy to work with!

This was the perfect property for my family of four. The location was perfect for accessing everything Acadia has to offer. Trails, carriage roads, and Northeast Harbor were within minutes of a drive, and Bar Harbor was easy to get to. The house was comfortable with beautiful views of the coast throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the showers were amazing! Our kids loved walking down to the rock beach and searching for sea glass, crabs, shells, and anything else they could find. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Mike! We will be back.

Great property

A wonderful place to stay, my daughter worked remotely for 2 days and loved the upstairs office area, our family enjoyed walking the private cove beach area to start out our days and would return each day after our hikes and enjoy the house. Micheal was very responsive and helpful. Thank you again for allowing us to make your house our home for the week.

Short walk to many trails. Beautiful views from the property - saw otters and many seabirds. Wifi/Internet sufficient for remote work (we were able to have several video calls at once). Short drives (<15min) to Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor. Kitchen had all of the equipment needed to cook for the week.

Pure Relaxation

My daughter and I wanted to enjoy a girls trip of hiking and relaxation. We certainly achieved both by staying here. From booking to checking out, everything went smoothly and efficiently. Communication was excellent, so much so, I feel I've made new friends. The house and location were perfect to explore everything Acadia has to offer. Crisp mornings started each day, sitting on the Adirondack chairs watching the tide go in out. We found some beautiful pieces of sea glass and listened to the harbor bell daily. If you are looking for peace and quiet, relaxation and tranquility then you'll find it here!

Perfect location for Acadia exploring

My family and I had a wonderful week at a beautiful place. Loved the location--far enough away from Bar Harbor that you had some peace, but close enough to multiple areas of the park. A few mile drive to Jordan Pond. Loved the view. Gorgeous view from the house/deck of the islands off the coast. Saw a seal swim by one day. Had a barred(?) owl in the yard one day as well. Loved the fact you could walk out your door and hike trails which can connect to Acadia. We did that one day and hiked to Jordan Pond. (avoiding the parking nightmare over there...) Loved the library in the house as well. Communication was great--probably the best I have had throughout my bookings with VRBO. Do bring bar soap, shampoo, and napkins/paper towels. No need for coffee filters, as of the time we left there were about 50 ;) Hope to be back some day!

Okay, but not great

The location of the house was okay, not directly on the water but nice big windows in the living room brought in a lot of light and views of the water. The house was dated and carpets had spots and stains. The screen door on the slider actually fell off when we tried to use it because there was so much dirt and mold in the tracks. There was only a small charcoal grill and it was dirty!! Full of water from the rain and old charcoal. We cleaned the windows looking out on the water becasue they were so dirty, the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was coming out of the wall, the placemats on the dining room table were so outdated they were crispy and faded to a diffferent color. It was little things like this that turned us off but we had a good time and we made it work.

We do not understand this outlier review, as all our other reviews from 2023 are 5’s - consistent with years of previous VRBO “5” reviews, seen below. In addition, all the 2023 VRBO reviews comment on cleanliness and how much guests loved the house. Further, the guests who came the next week (October 28th to November 4), texted us “we had a very nice stay this week. Thank you! Howard” (Nov 4, 5:54 AM). These guests also wrote in our guest book: “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The view was spectacular and the house cozy. This house is conveniently located near Bar Harbor, as well as, towards Acadia National Park. There were also several lovely places to eat. Wonderful location, we enjoyed our time here! Thanks!” This outlier review ignores the fact that Tropical Storm Philippe battered the island days earlier, leaving debris, and that the guests also experienced continuous rain and wind in their first three days of their stay. A subsequent examination of the screen door track revealed no mold and that a small, broken plastic wheel, on the bottom of the screen, caused its dislodgement. This was quickly replaced. It also ignores that the photos on VRBO clearly show the style and attributes of the house and its furniture, and that the house is 75 feet from the private beach (Town of Mt. Desert Ordinance). These guests never contacted us during the week, although they had multiple opportunities and suggestions to contact us if they needed anything. We heard nothing throughout the week about any issues (including where alternative placemat sets were located).

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this stunning property! The house was clean and lovely with comfy beds and updated bathrooms and the yard was just stunning! My husband and 2 daughters woke up each morning to sit on the stone patio, drink coffee and bird watch while I headed down the very short distance to the beach and hunted for sea glass and listened to the waves. The location of the house was perfect for quick access to Acadia National Park trails and to Bar Harbor. The owner, Mike, was very kind and friendly. He and his wife stayed in communication during our stay and offered many tips on what to do and where to eat. My family will definitely be back! We give this property the very highest rating.

Acadia Home with Great Views

We loved the location. Peaceful with great views of the harbor. The home was comfortable and had everything we were looking for. Its location was removed enough from Bar Harbor to avoid the hustle/bustle but close enough to go in for dinner if we wanted to. Also, very close to other towns that have dining options. There are several off the beaten path hiking trails in close proximity that we really nice with varying degrees of difficulty. Enjoyed hiking without seeing other hikers. Beds were very comfortable. WiFi and the TV's worked well in the evenings when we were ready for inside entertainment.

Beautiful Setting

Amazing!!!

Once again we had an amazing stay. The location of this home is just the best. Access to park trails, Bar Harbor, great restaurants and more is right at your fingertips. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and having coffee with the Atlantic Ocean right in front of you.

Stunning

Words can not adequately describe the feeling when we pulled in the driveway. The view simply takes your breath away. That is until you enter the house and realize the view from inside is even more amazing. And don’t get me started on the master bedroom. You don’t even need to lift your head off the pillow to see the view. The house is open and filled with natural light. I was able to set up my sewing machine. And quilt away with the view right in front of me since we had a couple of cold rainy days. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. We were so comfortable and immediately felt at home. The house’s location is perfect. So close to Acadia National Park, beautiful hiking trails, Bar Harbor, golfing and so much more. Within 2 days of being there we cancelled our fall vacation and booked another week here in September!!!!!!!

Perfect location

This property is in a perfect location. So convenient to everything the Island has to offer. We spent our mornings having our coffee and evenings with our glass of wine on the private cobblestone beach. We hope to visit again.
