The accommodation was very reasonably priced and close to the centre of town. The only problem was no A/C but by opening the doors I got a good breeze through the unit. For an inexpensive unit in a high price area I would recommend this property!

Convenient location

Nice tidy clean unit. Had everything we needed. But, could be a really good unit with some updates. It was freshly painted and inviting, but things were old and mismatched. Warning, we have a Getz and parking spot was still difficult. Anything bigger I would park on the street

Reviewer Comments: The accomodation was in a good location, walk to everything, bed was comfy, definitely needed updating though, kitchen cupboards are smelly and old need replacing, I wouldn’t put my food in there. The parking is very tight to manoeuvre into car space. Don’t think I would stay again for these reasons, the price was cheap and I now know why, think I will pay a bit more for something nicer.

Washer & dryer were great for an extended stay as was the stove/oven and full size fridge. Comfortable beds and good value for money. Plenty of parking nearby. Cons: Apartment was clean, but not 'freshly cleaned', floors were quite dusty. Designated car space would only suit a small car - not a family car due to the steep narrow driveway. Apartment was set to the back & bottom of the block, so good views, but wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place is in a great location and is cheap. Pool was great. Place wasn’t the cleanest but bearable. The outdoor area (off kitchen) wasn’t like the photos. Grass was long and basically dead and covered in weeds (credit to agent for getting it mowed). There was also smoke butts all over it, we picked up 20-30 butts - not something you expect!! Not the most enticing area!!Shower basically has no water pressure, while the washing machine leaks water all over the laundry and kitchen.One day there was no water due to maintenance (was told it was only going to be unavailable for an hour or so)The place is pretty run down, which is reflected by the price. However some basic improvements would make the place a lot better. Eg, fans that work, better clean, maintain gardens etc etc

Wouldn't stay again

Reviewer Comments: Property location was good; however, would not recommend staying here. First thing we noticed was how difficult it was to get a medium sized car into the allocated car spot. We didn't use the car space after the first time due to the hassle of manoeuvring the car into the spot. Inside the property is very dated, doesn't look like the property has had any updates to the kitchen, bathroom or other areas for several decades. Kitchen cupboards are disintegrating to the point of leaving small particles of wood in cooking items. Oven was just about unusable as took forever to heat up and did a very poor job of cooking food. There was no air conditioner in the unit, so on the warmer days it was just about unbearable. There were no ceiling fans in the bedrooms which made sleeping unpleasant, thankfully they had pedestal fans which made it just bearable at night. TV in the unit was tiny so was difficult to see from the couch. Shower was constantly dripping. Flyscreens on windows were torn. Was cheap to rent but I wouldn't stay here again, I'd spend a little more to get a much better place which we have done before in Port Macquarie.

Firstly the unit was unclean and we found rodent droppings near the curtains, also the smell of rodents. The fly screen door at the rear fell off and we were unable to lock glass sliding door, on the ground floor this was an acceptable situation.. Wiseberrys responded quickly to rectify the lock situation. Also we were unable to park our car as spaces were way to tight, our car is average size. The location is great and outlook very nice, bed comfortable but sadly the issues led us to check out 2 days earlier.

Needs improvement! Wouldn’t stay here again

Great location, however I was really let down with this property. It doesn’t seem that the owner reads reviews and works in making improvements or the real estate. I had to wash everything before using it and cooking, no oven trays or casserole dishes for cooking, no rubbish bags, washing up liquid or toilet cleaner (had to buy my own). Property was clean but it needed a thorough clean. Dents in doors that were covered with stickers. Couldn’t park in parking space as too small and narrow. However, the pool was clean and nicely maintained. I wouldn’t stay here ever again and probably won’t book through Wiseberry Real Estate in Port Macquarie if they manage a property that is kept to this low standard

The owner has made significant improvements on the property in the last year by purchasing new furniture & prior to that having the unit freshly painted & new flooring. I will certainly make sure that if there is no casserole dishes or oven trays that these are replenished & I will see that the unit has a spring clean.

Great location but not clean

Whilst the location was perfect for us unfortunately this property was not clean at all. As a family we specifically wanted somewhere with a kitchen that we could cook meals however we did not feel comfortable using any of the dishes provided. We also were not able to use any of the pillows or blankets as they were badly stained.

You get what you pay for - Super old and a little disappointing!

If you're seeking the wow factor when you enter your accommodation then this is NOT the place for you. Very disappointing indeed. It is very old and desperately needs a renovation. Taps drip, door handles get stuck and there is a bit of a smell about the place. Even the TV remote and the wall clock doesn't work. I tried replacing the batteries in the remote but still no luck. There is available parking but even in my small car I was reluctant to attempt it as it's so small, so we parked on the street all week. On the plus side, the location is brilliant, so close to all restaurants / shops and the view of the river and glimpses of the beach are great to wake up to. The check in and out process was simple. The unit is cheap but we really wish we had of paid more money elsewhere. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately the kitchen & bathroom are original, however the owner has done some improvements to the unit, they had the unit freshly painted & new flooring laid last year & they have just recently purchased new furniture. Great location

We loved our stay here- the ppty is old but had everything we needed and the location was perfect! The bed was comfy too! The backyard was great and being able to see the ocean was lovely. Do NOT bother parking on site- there are no cars parked in there for a reason. You will damage your car if you try.! The bins stop you having enough room to manoeuvre your car around the pillars.

Unit 2 Headlands

The location of the property was good, but there were some disappointing aspects as to why we wouldn’t stay there again: 1. the floor of the unit was dirty ( they may have been vacuumed, but certainly not washed). 2. It was very hot without air conditioning. The 2 fans available helped a little, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to stay there at all. 3. We could smell the overloaded garbage bins outside the unit.

I will certainly forward your comment on to our cleaning contractors about the the floor not being mopped & I will speak to the owner to see if he may consider installing air conditioning. A great little set up

This apartment actually turned out to be better than anticipated. You have views of the water overlooking the holiday park - on a higher plain with a medium sized back courtyard which feels private as the apartment next door doesn’t seem to be lived in. The beds are surprisingly really comfortable and with the beautiful weather and beach trees outside your apartment, it’s heaven sleeping with the window open and blinds up - sounds and feels like your right on the beach. Yes this apartment looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 80’s however that vintage charm is a perfect setting for a laid back beach holiday and it was very clean inside each room. You get a beautiful breeze from the water straight through the back door with plenty of natural sunlight throughout. No ceiling fans or portable ones available but again, we stayed during the 33 degree weather and didn’t need it as you had the water breeze coming in the entire time. These old apartments have excellent insulation and sound proofing so you can’t tell if you have noisy neighbours or not. We never used the pool given the beach was a stone though away although it looks to be well looked after. Hot water lasted through the 4 of us daily so that’s not an issue. Only griefs would be is that the shower pressure ain’t the best (but is anywhere these days with water savers) and you can not fit any sized car into the designated car space available down the driveway with the two structural wall each side. Trust me. Not even a tiny Getz could fit into this without swiping your car. Ample parking on street makes up for it though and your literally within a 3min walking distance to the town centre and about 15min walk to the beach. Seriously this is a central apartment and we will look to stay here each year again. Highly recommend, for breakfast be sure to visit four espresso two block down from the apartment and for coffee - a MUST to go to studio 3 espresso which is in the same block as the breaky spot just across the road. Real estate was very easy to deal with and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Great family holiday apartment!

My family had a wonderful time in this apartment. The location is great as you can walk to the beach, park, shops, cafes, river, cinema and pubs/restaurants. Situated on the ground floor you walk out onto a lovely little private grass area with outdoor seating and a view of the river/beach. Thoroughly recommended for a family of 4.
