Cette nouvelle maison sur mesure a Ă©tĂ© construite par le propriĂ©taire lui-mĂȘme. Cette maison dispose de nouveaux appareils Ă©lectromĂ©nagers en acier inoxydable, d'un systĂšme de CVCA Ă©coĂ©nergĂ©tique et d'une grande terrasse enveloppante. Il est nichĂ© sur 1,30 acres sur une impasse. SituĂ© entre le centre-ville de Jim Thorpe et le domaine skiable JFBB. Rafting en eau vive situĂ© Ă  quelques minutes de la maison. Beau paysage, endroit paisible et calme. Cette maison a 3 chambres Ă  coucher, 2. 5 salles de bain, un grenier, une buanderie, une grande piĂšce avec un beau foyer au bois, un pont enveloppant avec grill et un foyer au gaz pour les nuits enneigĂ©es aprĂšs le ski et le snowboard toute la journĂ©e. Ceci est une communautĂ© de lac privĂ©e avec une plage et une aire de jeux.

We had a wonderful stay at the Boarding Bear Chalet. The house was beautiful and all the appliances worked wonderfully. We cooked multiple meals using the outdoor grill and the entirety of the kitchen appliances. The location is 5 star
the house is situated with lovely views of the surrounding landscape. Easy access to the 903 made travel to our various activities very simple. The few questions we had were quickly answered by Jen and the info provided for check in and check out was very clear (including how to handle the trash). We would love to stay here again when visiting the Poconos.

We had a wonderful stay! Check in was super easy and Jen was great to communicate with. The house and is beautiful and was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and I was easily able to cook for the family. And the property was private and so peaceful, but we were still close to things to do. I would definitely recommend this property and host!

Beautiful nicely appointed house and property, very private and nestled in the woods.15 minute drive to Jim Thorpe proper, 25 minute drive to Hickory Run State Park, 35 minute drive to Lehigh Gorge state park. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and the Boarding Bear Chalet is up there with the best of them. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. Great hosts!

Golf Getaway with the Boys

Spent a long weekend at this great property to catch up with a few friends from high school, play golf at some of the awesome courses the Poconos has to offer, and have a relaxing home to BBQ and have campfires. This property checks all the boxes and we had a blast. Jennifer is very easy to communicate with and responsive and we look forward to future stays at her home!

Location is beautiful

The communication with the owner exceeded expectations. The house in a really nice location. The driveway was a bit steeper than I imagined but once the snow was gone it was no problem for three different types of vehicles we had. The house was as described - photos reflected exactly. Also the front steps had ice/snow melters installed which I thought was fantastic.

Perfect Little Getaway

The property was absolutely perfect! We had a few last minute days off and decided to get away from the city. The house is located in a community, but you would never know it, definitely a secluded feel. We had perfect weather and spent most of our nights relaxing on the deck and watching the wildlife and listening to leaves fall from the trees. Plus, the Chalet was in the perfect location for all the places we wanted to visit! We visited Jim Thorpe the second night there and enjoyed a beautiful scenic train ride and after we had an AMAZING lunch at Ouros. Our third day there we hiked some trails at Hickory Run state park and visited Boulder field. Definitely will be back!

Peaceful Getaway

Our family loves this place! For two years now we have gone over Thanksgiving and it was such a peaceful, quiet place to get away. There is plenty of room for our big family to spread out when we need space, hang out together in the rec area or go for walks and see deer and foxes. Our boys loved walking to different fishing sites either behind the house or at the lake. Jennifer was a great host who was quick to get back to us when we had questions. We will definitely be back in the years to come!

Lovely short getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is such a cool place and our kids really enjoyed the game room downstairs. Location is awesome. Weather didn't work out for us, but the house was such a nice place to just hang out and relax. Owners were super easy to reach if anything came up!

Presidents Day long weekend

We had a fun weekend staying in this house. 6 little girls loved the bunk beds in the basement. They enjoyed exploring the trail to the creek and the bonfire was nice in the morning and evening. We went to Winterfest in Jim Thorpe. It wasn’t the snowy weekend we were hoping for as it was unseasonably warm but still a relaxing getaway.

The house was perfectly decorated for Christmas!!! Was nice and cozy house. The kids loved the basement!!! Adults love the cozy loft area and kitchen and family area!!!! Would stay again!!!!

Spacious and quiet house

This house was great with spaces to sleep and common areas. We loved the beck and fire pit. The basement had many amenities for our group, and we spent our last night down there. We had a blast and would recommend this house.

Great property surrounded by nature

Awesome place. Loved relaxing by the fire in the evenings and having morning coffee on the deck. The house was very clean and had lots of games for the kids and adults. Close to rafting and hickory run state park but secluded and surrounded by nature.

Great trip! Great cabin!

Wonderful stay! Property is great! My teens loved it! It is clean and spacious. After a few days in NYC it was great to just relax in this beautiful home. The property has all you need and then some! Owners are very responsive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to reserve this place!

Nice Getaway!

This property is convenient to the PA turnpike but nicely secluded in the woods. The home is spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the deck, game room, and the open floor plan which was nice when you have several people and it is easy to monitor kids. The only minor disappointment was the outdoor grill, it was in very poor condition so we did not use it. The property owner was very quick to respond to questions and had very useful information about the area and the property, If we would visit the area in the future I certainly would consider staying at the property again.

Plenty of space to relax

Between the large deck, comfy living room, long kitchen table, and incredible game room and bar downstairs, there's a ton of space to relax and have fun. The teens in particular enjoyed the basement with its pool table and bunk beds. Jen was extraordinarily quick with responses before and during our stay, even when she was on her own vacation.

Better than the pictures!

We traveled with another family. 4 adults and 5 kids. We had such a great time. The kids had a blast with all the extra space available to them. As well as the games. The house was better than expected. Spotless and huge! We took the kids for a nature hike, traveled to camelback for tubing and enjoyed the amenities. We can’t wait to go back.

We met at Camelback Ski Resort at The Thirsty Camel after a day of skiing and snowboarding in 2002. The Poconos holds a special place in our hearts. We decided to buy land and build our very own vacation home from the ground up. Garry is a builder and contractor in South Jersey. We both built this house with our own hands in our spare time while running businesses, starting & raising a family. We love Jim Thorpe, the location, the activities, the beautiful scenery, the wildlife, etc...We hope you enjoy and respect it as much as we do. We really hope you enjoy your stay and make special memories while staying in our home.

Location! Location! Location! Close to skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, shopping, etc...We love the outdoors! We chose our property specifically because of how scenic and quiet it is. The options are limitless. You can raft or hike during the day then come back, unwind, and relax around the firepit in the evening. The choice is yours! Our home offers the right amount of serenity in an area full of adventure, shopping in downtown Jim Thorpe, restaurants, and/or entertainment, etc...

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our home is located on a cul-de-sac nestled in the woods where we usually see bears, deer, turkey, and fox run freely. We love the scenery and the peaceful, quiet setting. Very relaxing yet there are many activities to keep you and your family busy no matter the season.
