Jim Thorpe, Bear Creek Lake, Cozy 3Br family friendly home- EV charging outlet
Nature abounds in this part of the Poconos. This home is situated on an acre of land. It's close to everything the Historical town of Jim Thorpe has to offer but tucked away if you want to relax. The Bear Creek Lake community has a lake, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball, and more. Nearby activities: hiking trails, white water rafting, bike trails, and paintball skirmish. In the winter you can go skiing and come home to a warm fire. You and the entire family will love this nature getaway. This is a family friendly neighborhood and the kids will love swimming in the lake. (Home is not in downtown and located in a private community of Bear Creek Lake). We have a well equipped 1500 sq ft. house that is made for families to feel at home. There are toys for the kids, beach towels for swimming and everything a coffee enthusiast would need! You can also contact us about the 2 kids 24-inch wheel hard tail mountain bikes that are available to be rented during your stay. If you are interested in staying for 5 or more days we can offer a longer stay discount!
This was our first time renting in the Bear Creek Lake Community. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. The house was as advertised and we found it to be just what we were looking for. Unfortunately it was so extremely hot outside every day we were there, we couldn't sit outside too much but the inside was comfortable with air conditioners and fans strategically place. We plan on going back soon, hopefully when it's not so hot.
We stayed here for our first visit to Jim Thorpe for cycling the rail trail, it was about a 10 minute drive to town. We didnât use the lake which was about a mile away but would have if we stayed longer. The home was great for our needs.
Hattie's house is cozy, peaceful, and far enough out of town to be extremely quiet yet close enough to be convenient. My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend here while we explored Jim Thorpe. Everything was great. Check-in was smooth and Hattie is so friendly and quick to respond with any questions we had. The house was great and everything worked perfectly. We'd definitely stay here again in the future.
There was bright yellow, brilliant orange, and crimson red with deep maroon everywhere in the neighborhood and the mountains. We enjoyed watching the deerlin the morning and evening.
Great location to Jim Thorpe, coal mining tour as well as Yeungling tour with tasting.
Comfortable recliner couches to relax after touring all day.
The house was clean and comfortable. Our first day was rainy, and it was really relaxing to sit on the covered porch and listen to the sound of the rain before retreating inside to curl up and read. When the weather cleared up, it was wonderful to take the short walk to the beautiful lake and go for a swim in the pool. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch with coffee listening to the birds and watching the deer. Perfect spot to relax and unwind.
We are sisters who started this business to have fun and make a unique experience for others out of something we love to do! We both grew up in the south so the Pocono Mountains not what we were accustomed to. This area is relaxing yet interesting and keeps us coming back. Outdoor adventures are our passion so we would love to share that with our visitors. We are always happy to discuss unique adventures if you are looking for suggestions.
This particular home is so amazing because it is private and really allows you to relax and feel like you are in nature. Deer are often eating in the yard or taking a nap. You may even see a black bear if you are lucky. The lake in the community isn't far and you can paddle board, fish, swim and enjoy yourself for a long time there. The pool is also a favorite hang out. And for times when you have had enough nature, the town of Jim Thorpe has so many nice places to eat and historic buildings to see that it's a fun day in town. In the winter we love the proximity to the ski mountains so that at the end of the day you can come home and relax at the wood burning stove.
The benefits of staying in this home are that the community offers so many amenities that aren't possible in other places. The private lake is 150 acres and over a mile of shoreline. It also has a pool, tennis court, and basketball court are all part of the rental. In the winter you can't beat the location for skiing!
