Perfect location for Cape May Birders
Great location for our Cape May area Birding adventures. We appreciated the updated kitchen with a full sized refrigerator.
Thank you for your kind review. We are in a prime birding nature area that our guests enjoy. Thanks for commenting on our kitchen.,
Don't be seduced by the pictures.
When I booked this property I was seduced by the pictures and spent more money for my wife and I to have the worst possible stay. Not the area. Not the enjoyment of Cape May and the surroundings but the cottage itself. It is the most uncomfortable stay my wife and I have ever had anywhere.
First lets talk about the pictures. They tell a story of cute and charming, but the real story is missing. See the pic with the windows. Can't see in or out of those windows now because there is a stand of bamboo surrounding the cottage now so thick that no sunlight penetrates any side of the house. And that's a good thing because the skylights bring in so much light and heat that even on a 72 degree day the minuscule A/C unit could barely keep up. And you have keep the place shut up because of the REALLY loud dogs that live just feet from your ears and bark incessantly every time they hear a strange noise or see anything out of the ordinary. THE nightmare not disclosed.
This is a garage conversion gone wrong in so many ways that the pocket door installed to close off the bath doesn't even have a pull knob installed. Nicest part otherwise
Inside is the missing link to the whole picture joke. The LOFT and the SPIRAL STAIRCASE. Missing completely from any image except one that shows a bit of the staircase. DO NOT rent this place if you are over the age of 16 or you are human. I am almost 70 and my wife is somewhat younger. I told the property manager we were "emptynesters". What do you think that means? The sleeping accommodations are in a loft accessed by a STEEL spiral staircase that intrudes into the living space in the worst possible way. I don't know if I have enough space here to tell you the agony of trying to make sleeping accommodations for 2 out of the furniture you see pictured. The fold out was a waste totally, the furniture is ratty and should be replaced every year for the money they charge. There is no way for a pair of geriatrics to access the loft comfortably and the stairs left what will probably be a scar on my wife's right leg and me with a knot on my forehead from the first night that is just now going away.
Running out of space here but get to the truth before renting this place. If I was young and nimble I wouldn't pay more than $50 a night. As fully formed adults my wife and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I think the lack of transparency is like running a scam. Beware of this place and make it a 'last place left' option.
A cute, private little cottage conveniently located in Cape May Point. But, no bed to accommodate a couple and a spiral staircase leading up to a loft with 2 single, uncomfortable beds. Bathroom down the spiral staircase is small with no hooks/shelves to accommodate toiletries bags.
Secluded relaxing cottage
The cottage looks exactly like it does online. It’s beautiful and very relaxing which is exactly what I needed to get away from the day to day stress of life! Mary Beth was a wonderful host and the cottage has everything you could possibly need. I will be returning many times in the future!
À voir, à 5 minutes de la maison des produits biologiques, restaurant à proximité du restaurant rouge situé dans la rue. Repas dans la rue. Repas à vélo dans le centre-ville.
