Farmhouse Cottage - idéal pour les couples explorant l'île

Une partie de la ferme Mersley, le Cottage Farmhouse est un espace idéal pour les couples. La chambre s'ouvre sur un jardin privé avec terrasse pour profiter du soleil du soir. Il y a une grande salle de bain avec baignoire et douche à l'italienne. Le salon est rendu merveilleusement confortable avec un poêle à bois. La cuisine et la salle à manger sont spacieuses et entièrement équipées. Nous pouvons fournir un lit pliant pour cette propriété afin qu'il puisse dormir jusqu'à 3.

Le chalet est situé sur la ferme de l'ail sur l'île de Wight, niché au pied de Mersley Down dans la vallée d'Arreton, une région d'une beauté naturelle exceptionnelle. Notre restaurant sur place se trouve à la porte et est ouvert tous les jours pour le petit-déjeuner et le déjeuner. Vous bénéficierez de réductions dans le magasin et le restaurant de la ferme, ainsi que dans la salle de jeux, le court de tennis, le terrain de football et toutes les belles promenades dans la campagne environnante. Les paons, les écureuils roux et les poules errent librement autour de la ferme avec le bétail et les chevaux de montagne dans les champs environnants.

La ferme est idéalement située pour explorer l'île à pied ou à vélo, au cœur de kilomètres de pistes cyclables et de sentiers pour lesquels l'île est réputée. Il y a un lac de pêche privé à 800 mètres et des plages pas plus de 10 minutes en voiture.

A gem place to stay

Everything and everyone was perfect. We felt cozy in our cottage with all creature comforts. I especially liked the eco friendly approach to their businesses. We had fun chats with Colin and Jenny. Long to return and chill out at the Garlic Farm.

Lovely little cottage

If I did have to moan about something it would be that if didn’t have a kitchen and there’s an interior door leading from the owners cottage directly into the living room which I wasn’t too keen on but other than that we had a very nice comfortable stay, thank you so much

March break at Farmhouse Cottage

We really enjoyed our time in Farmhouse Cottage. Although it was cold outside we were able to get the cottage cosy by putting the log burner on. It was exceptionally quiet too and perfect for a relaxing break for the two of us.

Comfortable short break

At last minute short break booking, lovely location, very cosy and comfortable, would recommend if you are a couple staying there with family members who are staying in one if the other properties on site where you can join them for breakfast

Cosy cottage for a Winter break

We stayed in Farmhouse Cottage for four nights at the end of January. Our ferry crossing was cancelled due to bad weather but fortunately Melanie at The Garlic Farm rearranged everything for us within minutes. The cottage was cosy and warm with central heating and a log burner and the large bed was comfortable. A fridge, kettle and cups were provided but we were glad to have taken some plates and cutlery and a tea towel would have been useful. The excellent Garlic Farm restaurant and shop were literally only a minute’s walk away and we enjoyed our morning walks around the farm and further afield on the lovely IoW. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Enjoyed our stay in the Cottage very comfortable could not fault in any way, stay made even more enjoyable by the good weather,would come back again. Only downside poor quality breakfast served in the restaurant, so had to breakfast elsewhere.

A lovely place to stay for an island visit

Second time we’ve been to the Garlic Farm to stay, and the accommodation and upkeep is excellent. My only criticism would be the price of the goods in the farm shop and the cafe is expensive

Short break

Bolted on an extra couple of nights after being on the island for business. A lovely place to relax and with the restaurant and farm shop within yards it was a wonderful experience overall. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely delightful!

Honestly we had the very best time staying at the Garlic farm. The owners were friendly, the cottage was cute. There were peacocks, red squirrels and rabbits around, and the restaurant, cafe and shop are all awesome! The food is amazing!!! One of the best UK restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to go back.

Idyllic farm stay

Perfect spot to stop near the middle of the Island, Jenny, Colin and Mel are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The accommodation was spotless, quiet and comfy, the restaurant is always one of the best places to eat on the Island and the location is both utterly idyllic and perfect for day trips out. Where else do you get woken up in the morning by a peacock?

Work stay for one week

Lovely stay at Farmhouse Cottage

The cottage was absolutely lovely. Perfect for our short stay. It was clean and comfortable with some lovely little touches and the information pack on the local area was excellent. Communication with the host was very good and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend staying at the beautiful Garlic Farm. You MUST eat in the restaurant too, the food is exceptional.

An outstanding stay!

This is our second stay at The Garlic Farm and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on both occasions. The food at the restaurant is exceptional and the setting- tranquil. The Farmhouse Cottage was beautiful and Melanie was very helpful in communicating with us before our stay. Thank you! We look forward to coming back!

A wonderful stay

We had a lovely long weekend staying at Farmhouse Cottage. Our daughter and family were staying in one of the yurts for the week, and it was a great way to get together. The cottage was clean, very pretty and spacious, and the location perfect. Communications were very good before and during our stay. If I could make one suggestion it would be to provide at least a couple of side plates/knives, or suggest people bring these. We knew there would only be a fridge and no kitchen, but we did keep a few bits to eat in the fridge as snacks, and had to borrow crockery from my daughter's yurt. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We live and work on the farm and love welcoming visitors to share in the lovely place we're so grateful to live in.

Farmhouse Cottage is a spacious annex of the main farmhouse. It has a large bedroom, bathroom and cosy sitting room with log burning stove. However. there are no kitchen facilities so guests can either dine in the restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch everyday or make use of one of the local pubs or restaurants nearby.

The Garlic Farm is a very unigue and beautiful place to visit and to use as a base for exploring the Island. We have great walks right from the doorstep and the private garden to the rear which often affords sightings of red squirrels and various other wildlife.
