The Flat is as described, and comfortable for two. It has everything one needs. Large windows make the unit light and bright, and feel spacious. We experienced a heat wave during our stay and a fan is provided which helped, however, days of high heat made it difficult for us to sleep comfortably. It was an unusual heatwave, and reality is in the historical center of cities, many units do not have AC, which would be a nice feature to have. The location is great, just minutes from Sloane Square Station.
This was a very good stay and the host was extremely helpful & available when needed. The flat is on a quieter street off Sloane Square. The only problem I had was thumping bass music somewhere else in the building, as if from a club or restaurant (late into the night on the weekend, sporadically on other nights). I am very sensitive to noise, so this would be important to know going in. Earplugs help. Otherwise, great stay!
This studio was perfect for my daughter and I during our week in London. It had everything we needed and was very close to a tube stop. The owner was very quick to reply to questions and a good communicator. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
This is a quiet, comfortable apartment in a great location for both walking and tube and bus access. Equipped with both a kitchen and washer/dryer. We really enjoyed our time here.
We throughly enjoyed our week at this flat. Plenty of room with a comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Great location near the tube and bus lines, and a half hour walk to Buckingham Palace. A couple of good restaurants in the same block and more a few blocks away at Sloane Square - along with specialty shops (bakery, cheese, seafood and more.
Flat ideally located. However very cold! Duvet hidden in black bin bag! Wasnât able to take proper shower! Microwave didnât work!
No tea/coffee spoons! Had to brush teeth in kitchen sink. Also, amount I was charged wasnât what was posted on Vrbo listing!
Iâm leaving today with horrible cold!
But I enjoyed being in my old neighborhood!
We loved our week-long stay here. Very close to tube station that made theatres easy to get to. The neighborhood is lovely as well with easy walk to the river and Battersea Power Station as well as great shopping and restaurants on Kings Road and around. The host was immediately responsive when we needed him to be. Check in was a breeze. The apartment is well set up for light cooking. Two great coffee shops right outside the front door.
Cons: The room is just a bit bigger than a hotel room, it feels tight after a week with two adults and a 10 year old. The sofa bed is fairly uncomfortable and both beds squeak when you move.
Pros: literally everything else! This place is fantastic! My favorite rental despite the few cons. Well-supplied, comfortable, safe, quiet, and the location⊠it truly canât be beat. I would move in in a heartbeat if I could! I will be back to stay here the next time Iâm in London, if I can!
My husband and I loved this flat. It is a studio, but very well set up and feels spacious. It has huge windows w a nice view; lots of silverware, wine glasses, everything you could want; good bed; plenty of bedding & pillows; comfy sofa to watch tv; convenient place to work; plenty of storage; bath is slightly separated from living area w several shower/hair care products. Bristol house is a short walk from the tube, the #11 bus to Covent Garden stops on the street, and the neighborhood is lovely for walking with interesting shops and restaurants nearby. We truly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely stay again. No problems at all.
This was easily one of the best properties we've rented in the UK. Very close to Underground tube subway station and access to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, even a hospital urgent care clinic 2 blocks away when we needed it. Doorman was friendly and informative. There are two elevators to help get the luggage up to the flat. Michael (our host) was very quick to respond to questions and also quite helpful. The flat was clean and tidy. The washer/dryer combination and oven, microwave, TV all worked well. Be aware , the shower / bathtub combination is slightly elevated above the floor, so if you are short like us, you have to climb up into it. We had a pleasant stay and hope to return here next time we are in London.
My wife and I just completed an 8-night stay. The flat (apartment) was small but comparable to a hotel room. The location was highly convenient to public transportation, with the tube (subway/underground) being a 5-minute walk.
There were several bus routes within one block of the unit.
Most of the tourist areas were a 15-25 minute ride away. An excellent Italian restaurant (Caraffini) and food market (Sloane Food & Wine) were on the ground floor.
The property manager was prompt in his responses. The building was quiet, and we saw only two other residents during our stay.
I would stay here again. However, I would not recommend the following:
(1) More than two people.
(2) People who have claustrophobia. The unit is on the 4th floor, and the elevators are tiny.
(3) People with mobility issues. The shower is exceptionally high and could be a struggle for some.
For most people, this is an ideal opportunity to get a reasonably priced property in a clean quiet area.
We had a terrific stay in this small space. Though not much bigger than a hotel room, the studio is well arranged with thoughtful and unusually high quality appointments, e.g., given that air-con is rare to find in U.K.residences, having two solid & powerful fans was such a relief once the temperatures and humidity shot upwards. A good hair dryer, new vacuum cleaner, and fresh sheets, pillows, cushions, and towels. Impressive premium lined curtains can make the studio restfully pitch black if needed [great for jet-lag].
Perhaps because one of us is retired, and we have two very active young grandsons, the idea of staying with more than one other adult seemed like a stretch. Indeed, before arriving, we wondered how we would manage. We did well, partly due to the large east facing windows which deliver bright light from sunrise until early afternoon, and a great atmospheric view of London rooftops all the way to the London Eye and the Shard. The colors of everything are coordinated through a neutral white/ivory/light grey to gold palette, heightening a feeling of space, as well as restful for the eyes. Two elevators are most welcome for lugging bags, while the concierge and housekeeper are delightful people, willing to help with any problem. Michael, the host, was perfect.
The studio also benefits from the neighborhood right at the front door - restaurants, pub, cafe, stores seconds away. Transport plentiful.
A wonderful experience all the way around: 'we'll be back.'
Loved the close proximity to the sloane Square tube station, Kings Road and abundance of shopping options. The flat offered plenty of space for just one guest. Michael was a very accommodating and responsive host.
The shower was extremely dangerous for old people. You must step into a very high tube. There is no hand rail and getting out is worse. If you are short with bad knees the distance is too great. The location was great for the Chelsea Flower Show and the shops on Pimlico and Sloane Square!
Nice, well equipped studio. Good location and WiFi. Property manager, Michael, was quick to respond to messages, and allowed us early check-in, since apartment was empty immediately prior to our arrival. All in all a nice base from which to explore London.
The location was perfect. The flat was as listed, small but efficient. Communication with Michael was very easy. The bed was comfy. Lots of light coming in, which I love. I hope to be back soon.
After a very slight hiccup checking in the flat more than met our expectations. Accurately described in the VRBO listing it was compact, but well organized. The location was very convenient: within 25-30 minutes of leaving the theatre weâd be back in the flat. And the oven and microwave allowed us to not eat out for dinner once in our entire 15 night stay (although thereâs several nice looking restaurants just outside the entrance, and a pub across the street). The washing machine worked very nicely (which was very nicely as we were on the road 4 weeks when we arrived in London and the drying racks more than adequately facilitated thorough drying). Michael (our host) responded almost instantaneously to any questions we had and the porter was also quite helpful. When we come to London again we will definitely look to book this ideally located, compact flat with an elevator in the building (which we always used going up, but only once [when we were leaving] going down).
