Il s'agit d'un joli cadre en A dans les bois tranquilles au bout d'un cul-de-sac à Clifftops au sommet de la montagne Monteagle.
Nous espérons que vous viendrez vous détendre et profiter de cette escapade tranquille.
Deux chambres, deux salles de bains, plus un lit escamotable double, cuisine entièrement équipée, énorme porche grillagé, grande terrasse ouverte.

Last minute long weekend getaway

Everything was 5star perfect! Cozy cabin in the woods with access to trails, good food, and a covered porch with a swing bed . Beds were comfortable and kitchen and bathrooms stocked . Cozy den and and lots of books, games and puzzles. It was a perfect weekend getaway! Thank you. We will be back!

Weekend at ATypical Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at ATypical Cabin! The cabin is located on a beautiful, wooded large lot. The cabin was very cozy and had everything thing we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway!

41st Bday getaway

It was absolutely incredible. It is beautiful, tranquil, and exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed walking and hiking in the area. We also had a phenomenal time kayaking and canoeing. We had our coffee and dinners on screened in porch and grilled on the grill on the front patio - so blissful! Gale was great and super communicative.

Quiet and Woodsy

We had a great stay at this quiet, woodsy property! The neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for biking and walking—it’s a wonderful community for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. One of the best parts was being able to bring our small dog along; it was a pleasure to have him with us so he could enjoy the vacation too. The house was just as described—clean, comfortable, and cozy. We especially loved the screened-in porch, which was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee or reading a book. The location is also fantastic, with Sewanee University just a short drive away. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Fun cabin in the woods

The cabin is perfect for a chill weekend. Make a fire, hang in nature, explore the lake, and area. Sleep on the porch swing bed!

Best screened-in porch!

My family had such a lovely stay at this cabin. It was exactly what we needed for our graduation weekend with our oldest daughter. The cabin is so easy to get to and in a great location. The screened-in porch was our favorite part! It was so serene and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay!

A place to return to.

I have to give the weather some credit, but we had a great weekend here. The place is quiet and the screened in porch was just fabulous to hang out and dine on. It is close to some great hiking trails and a fantastic concert venue. It is nice to have a place like this to relax at after an adventurous day.

Wonderful Christmas at Monteagle Cozy Cabin.

Gale and Dick were the best hosts!!! Lovely cabin, warm fireplace, comfortable and clean. Lovely private cabin on the end of the cul de sac. Family gathering for Christmas was exceptional w the addition of the decorations that our hosts provided. So very happy we found this little spot for our family gathering. Looking forward to returning.

Cozy and convenient!

We had a wonderful post Christmas stay at Atypical cabin! This was our second stay at the property, which was just as great as the first. Our hosts were always easy to get in touch with as needed and it is evident that they want to ensure the best possible experience for their guests. We love the peaceful surroundings and how convenient it is to restaurants and anything you want to do in the area. Thanks again for sharing your place with us!

Perfect Atypical Weekend

Our host provided the perfect space for a family with a young child...from the small lifevest to the coffee and creamer...we fell in love with it instantly. The enclosed deck was also perfect for our furry family...three dogs...and they all enjoyed it just as much as we did! Thank you Gale!!! We loved it so much we are looking at purchasing in Clifftops!

Weekend at Clifftops

We had a fantastic stay at Atypical Cabin! Clifftops is a beautiful community and loved the cabin! Our favorite part was the screened in porch with hanging swing and bed! We were only there 2 nights, so spent our full day at the lake. Loved having access to the canoe, kayak and paddleboard. Did not have time to use the pool, but what a gorgeous view! We could also bring our pup along, which was great. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope to visit again!

Just what we needed!

My wife and I lived on the school campus as my wife finished a seminary degree. We were moving off the mountain and still needed a place to sleep/work during the process. This location was perfect, close to the school, and exactly what we needed. Thank you!

Atypical cabin

Great location for a weekend in Sewanee. Great to be able to bring the pup with us. Cabin was a bit musty from being closed up. The only thing that would be great is if the seating in the den was updated as it is very old and uncomfortable. An update and this place would be great.

Cabin in the woods

Such a cute and comfortable place to stay. Gale was very easy to communicate with and even delivered the local paper shortly after we arrived. The community was very nice with lots of walking trails anround and we even went to the lake one day and my lab pup had a great time playing by the shore. Gale also dropped off a fire pit for us to use while we were there and that was very nice. The screened in porch was comfortable and so was the deck. Privacy but still very close to restaurants, grocery store, among other shops. You could hear the highway slightly but not enough to be disturbing. We were there for a show at The Caverns and it was an easy drive to get there. Overall, we had a great time and would come back again.

Perfectly Cozy and Convenient

Communication with Gale was very easy, and she also let us check in early. From the moment we arrived, we felt all the coziness and comfort of a Rockwell painting. They even put up Christmas decorations for us! We used the fireplace every night. The kids loved staying in the children’s room upstairs which was stocked with classic toys and books. We can’t wait to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the porch. The location could not have been more convenient. We enjoyed the privacy and amenities of the neighborhood and the numerous hiking trails in the area. What a perfect little escape. We made some beautiful memories!

Cute cabin With Relaxing Amenities andSurroundings!

We were visiting to see a concert at the Caverns, and had a pleasant, relaxing and quiet reprieve from our busy lives in Birmingham, AL. The cabin suited our needs perfectly in size and offered all the comforts of home such as a kitchen with some essentials such as spices, cookware, and coffee, and plenty of linens and pillows. The screened in porch was the best part and where we spent the majority of our time when at the cabin. We also enjoyed the abundant natural light from the many windows and A frame structure gave it a lodge type feel. Our son enjoyed some down time too and the upstairs twin beds gave us all some privacy and separation. The cabin is surrounded by nothing but wildlife and woods; it was very quiet and peaceful. It was also a very short drive to nearby conveniences such as a Piggly Wiggly, gas stations, some mom and pop stores, and a drugstore, and typical fast food establishments (Pizza Hut is very close), all on the same main road W Main Street, which also you turn from to ATypical Cabin. Gail and Dick were most welcoming up to our arrival. We had no issues except for one time the gate code wasn't working but Gail answered our call immediately and addressed the problem promptly, even though it was almost midnight. We enjoyed seeing the area of Monteagle, surrounded by woodsy solitutd and a slower pace. We highly reccommend ATypical Cabin if you want the peace and tranquility of a cabin in the woods, with modern conveniences nearby.

We bought this cabin after falling in love with Clifftops. We are swimmers, runners, cyclists, tennis players, paddlers, and fisherpeople. Clifftops had all our favorite activities in a beautiful community.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We liked this property because it was near the front of the development which gives easy access to trails, restaurants, and The University of the South. It is also at the end of a cul-de-sac which is an asset with little ones.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Nearly secluded location in Clifftops forest.
Four miles from Sewanee. Being allowed to swim a mile in a clear, clean, lake knowing I won't get creamed by a motor boat is fantastic. Being able to pull our canoe, kayak or paddleboard off the rack and paddle a couple of miles and fish for bass makes for a perfect evening activity.
