LA DESCRIPTION
Ce chalet entièrement rénové est l'une des maisons de plage d'origine du Carmel, niché dans un bosquet tranquille de vieux chênes sur un terrain privé de double taille. Situé au cœur du centre-ville de Carmel, ce chalet est à quelques pas de tous les grands restaurants, galeries et salles de dégustation, et à quelques portes de là où Dylan Thomas, Robinson Jeffers et Henry Miller ont tenu des salons en ville avec d'autres célébrités pendant les premiers jours de la scène artistique du Carmel. Cette maison 2BR / 2BA a été entièrement mise à jour avec des équipements modernes tout en conservant l'authenticité et le caractère de la maison d'origine, y compris des planchers de planches de pin, une cheminée en pierre Carmel et des fenêtres en verre ondulées.

Chaque chambre a un luxueux lit king oriental avec des draps en coton égyptien de 1200 fils au pouce, une housse de couette en lin belge et des taies d'oreiller. Tout est haut de gamme. Chacun des lits king-size peut être converti en deux lits jumeaux XL séparés si nécessaire.

Profitez du Wi-Fi haut débit gratuit en classe affaires et de la télévision Xfinity avec commande vocale.

Il y a aussi une maison d'hôtes séparée sur ce terrain double qui peut accueillir 2 personnes avec sa propre cuisine et salle de bain privée, et elle est disponible moyennant un supplément. La maison d'hôtes possède sa propre entrée privée et un chemin à travers les jardins et est séparée de la maison principale par une clôture de sorte qu'il n'y a pas de ligne de vue directe entre les deux. Super cute cottage located within an easy walk to Ocean Avenue, the heart of Carmel, where you can enjoy all the little town has to offer. Comfortable beds with crisp, high end linens, All Clad kitchen cookware and awesome water pressure for a marvelous shower were notable amenities. Both bedrooms in the main house are upstairs and have King beds. There is a shared, three quarter, hall bath with one sink for the two bedrooms and a main floor powder room with the added bonus of a soaking tub. The house was absolutely immaculate in terms of cleanliness. Excellent, off street parking and lovely garden areas surround the cottage. Our only wish would be for a mini-split air conditioner upstairs for the warmer days, which actually do happen in Carmel (we had an 81 degree, February day!). There is a one bedroom guest house available on property that we did not see personally, but would be great for a larger group or family staying. Overall, we loved our stay and the host Barry is fantastic.

Beautiful Carmel Cottage

We loved our week in Carmel at this beautiful cozy cottage. We've stayed in Carmel for many, many years and this is now one of our favorite places to stay. Very close to everything but completely private and quiet. Barry was the perfect host and went above and beyond to make our week so enjoyable.

Charming cottage

We absolutely loved staying in this charming cottage in Carmel. It was a short walk to Ocean Ave. The yard is lovely. The kitchen is perfect. We will come back every year.

Carmel comfort and elegance

We had a lovely stay. The house has many little generous touches that elevate your stay. Luxurious linens and coveted off street parking area are some highlights. Charming Carmel garden and deck for lounging, eating dinner, make this a little corner of paradise.

And your words "a little corner of paradise" are truly making my head swell a bit right now :) But, to be honest, I think of Carmel and these cottages the same way. This whole area truly is a little slice of heaven. Your video of the hummingbird sipping nectar from the bougainvillea on the back deck and taking drinks from the fountain was truly magical. I've seen many hummingbird visitors over the years, but have never been fast enough to capture a video in time. And thank you for your kind notes and messages. I'm so glad you enjoyed the ice cream and special touches. Please think of this cottage as your home away from home in Carmel. Oakland isn't that far away! You're welcome back here anytime. Be well!

Lovely cottage with every detail and convenience thougtfully considered!

Magical Getaway

Oh, I would give this place and it's owner/property manager 6 stars if I could! It's a dreamy home in a prime location. You will be lucky if you stay here! It's absolutely lovely!

Magical place n the heart of Carmel

Wonderfully appointed property. Quintessential Carmel cottage with historic looking fireplace and cozy couches. We celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah here and it was lovely. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and entertain and the twinkle lights added to the holiday spirit. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable beds. Will stay here again. The owner is super attentive and generous host.

Perfect Vacation Rental

The owner has gone to great lengths to make this home comfortable and well equipped for his guests. The beds were amazing (a must for vacation naps!) We had everything we needed for four adults to enjoy a week in Carmel. The property is perfectly located and we never needed a car to get to the beach or one of the many lovely restaurants on Ocean Ave. Can't wait to come visit again.

Perfect cottage

This cottage is so cute and in an ideal location! I would 100% stay here again. The host Barry went above and beyond with communication and fantastic surprises along the way. Don’t walk but run to book this! The beds were so comfortable, the fireplace was dreamy, the movies that he’s so thoughtfully had set up in advance or spot on.. We absolutely loved this place and will be back again!

I grew up in Chicago, surrounded by timeless architecture and true craftsmanship. In my twenties, I wandered through North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, falling in love with the art of hospitality — the shared table, the unspoken warmth of being welcomed as family. Those experiences taught me that real connection lives at the intersection of people, place, and space — a feeling I try to evoke in every home I create.

Hosting happened naturally. Friends began staying in my renovated cottages, and I realized how much joy came from crafting spaces where people instantly feel at ease — spaces that are simple, serene, and genuine.

For me, hosting isn’t business; it’s an extension of care. I want guests to rest well, breathe deeply, and leave a little lighter than when they arrived. I believe the smallest details — soft light, a quiet reading nook, the scent of ocean air through an open window — can shift how we feel.

When I’m not hosting, you’ll find me exploring the California coast, sketching ideas for another design project, or traveling to gather new inspiration. Wherever I go, I’m drawn to that same timeless grace — the kind of hospitality that makes you feel instantly at home.
