Véritable et absolu condo en bord de mer avec une véranda (balcon) qui pèse presque sur l'océan. Voir les piscines de marée ci-dessous où les tortues et les anguilles aiment venir manger. Laissez les sons de la mer vous endormir après une journée de visites ou de détente; la chambre et le salon font face à la mer.

Situé dans une rue calme (75-5870 Kahakai Road) et à quelques pas du village de Kailua-Kona, également connu sous le nom de Kona Town. Hale Kona Kai est à seulement un quart de rue de la plage de sable blanc de Honl et à 2 rues du marché de Kona Farmers.

Although the unit may be a little outdated, it was very clean and comfortable. We exceptionally liked the view and hearing the ocean waves. The short walk into town was so convenient. There is a small lagoon right next where we were able to sit and relax and enjoy the sun. I would definitely stay here again. Communication was fantastic and any questions were answered quickly.

We've stayed here for many years. The rooms are starting to look a little dated, but it's a great location and a great value in Kona.

Perfect!

We had an absolutely fabulous time staying at Hale Kona Kai #207. The location could not have been better. We loved that we could see the ocean and the pool from our lanai. We will be back again soon :)

This condo unit is accurately described in the online photos and description. We enjoyed the beach views, and the pool was a nice amenity to have. Communication was always prompt and professional, and this unit provided a very comfortable stay for our family of 4.

Excellent location and beautiful view!

We stay at Unit 207 in June. We enjoyed eating dinner on the balcony watching the ocean and the turtles. Great location to walk walk to restaurants and shopping. We've visited all islands in HI and Big Island is our favorite now! Such great diversity in sea life, laid back aloha spirit... can't wait to be back!!! Adeline, the manager, is AWESOME!!!

Enjoyed a wonderful stay in unit #207. Unit was nicely appointed. This is our third stay at Hale Kona Kai and it won't be our last, already making plans for next year. Great rental communications, through Kona Now. Was very happy there were beach chairs in the unit. Lastly, the sunset views will make your stay and provide wonderful memories.

Great Location

Location is the best! Property itself, is a bit underwhelming. It is however, what I expected for the rental rate. It is clean in the unit. The complex needs some freshening up. Pool is great.

Perfect spot

This is the perfect place for 2. The view spectacular, super comfortable King bed. Great furniture set up and patio to enjoy the sunsets. Everything clean, bathroom adequate space with nice towels. Kitchen space as well with nice working appliances. Cookware was great just low on silverware and dishes, coffee cups an wine glasses. There was only salt and pepper but no big deal. No complaints only praise. Thank you!

Great Place to stay!

My husband and I stayed for 10 days at Hale Kona Kai. It was a bit musty smelling when we first arrived, but we opened the sliding door to the lanai and the bedroom window to let in the fresh ocean air and it aired out quickly! The condo was clean and had everything we needed! The grounds and pool area are clean and nice and the view is Spectacular! Only a couple minor things... another BBQ grill would be nice (one on each end?) and if you are on the inside corner of the building (207/208 etc) the bedroom window is right in-line withe the other balcony) so had to keep the blinds closed.. but wasn't that big of a deal! I would still stay here again and I am looking forward to my next visit to the Big Island!

TV was a continuing issue though on site tech person was of great assistance. Sunset view was excellent. But otherwise view is limited as this is an "inside" corner unit, not simply a corner unit as advertised. Location close to downtown is very good. Units are a bit small but adequate for 2 persons. On site service was fine during week but not present on weekends.

Great experience

The setting is spectacular right on the ocean. We did have an issue with condensation from the AC even though we never left doors or windows open. The property manager got a repair company out and the issue went away! The sliding door should probably be replaced and the blinds repaired. Parking situation under the complex is excellent, proximity to shops, restaurants and tourist adventures is all within walking distance. The condo had lawn chairs, snorkeling equipment, coolers and everything needed to enjoy the local beaches—that was unexpected!! Snorkeling right at the condo is phenomenal, but NOT for the beginner and shouldn’t be done when the surf is raging. Overall excellent experience!

Great location but a little weak on supplies

The location is outstanding. A great view overlooking the ocean and fantastic sunsets from the lanai. The supplies and amenities in the unit were slim and the kitchen silverware was a jumble of items. The bathroom is very small and difficult for seniors with mobility problems. The supplies of toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, etc. was enough for 3 days but not much more. Seem like if your renting for several weeks, the supplies should be larger since the daily rate is the same if it were 3 days or a month. Inside the appliances and furnishings are somewhat outdated as well. The instructions for operating the TV were incorrect and it took a call the the agent to figure it out. There should be operating instructions for this as well as the other amenities of the unit, i.e., the gas bbq. It was locked so we thought it was unusable due to COVID, but in fact the padlock uses the same key as our unit. All in all we had a great time there. The view from the unit is outstanding and its location to the eating, shopping and other activities is all a short walking distance.

Too many problems for price

1. Was told we were too loud on lanai and violated rules of phone calls. There were no rule 2. No instructions on working tv. There are 6 remotes. When someone came to show us, we were told to use the unlabeled remote. 3. Only one towel bar in bathroom, and tub bottom about 4” higher than floor so hard to safely step out with no support bars for us older folks. 5. Microwave went out. It was replaced when we called, but with a much larger unit which took up lots is the small kitchen area. 6. We were called the day before check out and reminded checkout was 10 am. The notice in the condo says checkout is 11 am. Too many problems, but we love the location.

We are glad our team could get a replacement microwave to you so quickly. Sorry it was larger than the original one. The check out time was recently changed and we have yet to update the literature in the unit, however all of the rules /instructions sent out prior to arrival contain this info. In regard to the noise, if we receive any complaints from neighboring units we as a management company are required to follow up and remind our guest of quiet hours. Hale Kona Kai

We loved this place! The view is phenomenal! The pool is great! The kids loved the short walk to town for dining, shopping, and watching volleyball. The kitchen could use a little update, but had everything we needed.
