Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. We had plenty of room for five adults and four small kids. The lake is very nice and the small beach on property is great for the kids. We had some really nice fires in the evening and the sunsets are beautiful. Easy 20 minute drive to Traverse City!
Had an amazing time at the cabin and enjoyed the lake. Being 30min from downtown traverse made it easy to visit town and to enjoy what it had to offer. Would definitely stay here again if we head up to traverse again.
Rennie Lake is small and quiet. Itâs a beautiful spot and we enjoyed the close proximity to Traverse City. The house matched some previous descriptions.
Home has plenty of rooms and setup great for socializing as family. Nice clean beds, showers. Did need to rewash many dishes and vacuum when we arrived.
Water a bit tricky to use and not great pressure. Area nice and quiet. Kids had fun at lake and traverse city soo close.
We enjoyed our stay on Lake Rennie thoroughly! There was plenty of room in the home for our family as well as some of our extended family. The house was well stocked with everything we could have needed (camp chairs, cookware, boats). We barely saw any of the kids until dark because they were constantly out swimming off the paddle boat! It was a beautiful, safe area, and we have already been talking about doing this again next year! Thank you so much for a great trip!
We enjoyed our stay on Rennie Lake at this âEnjoy Pure Michigan,â rental. Our group of seven included relatives visiting from England. The house was clean and as described. We had no issues with communication and were even recommended a few places to pick blueberries and cherries from the owner. The lake was very nice and there were enough kayaks for all of us to paddle around the lake together, which made our stay even more fun. We also enjoyed using the firepit and looking at the many stars over the lake at night. Had no issues whatsoever. Also, the proximity to Traverse City was a plus.
Wonderful family vacation spot, for me, my adult children, grandson, and my mother. Beautiful lake with things to keep us busy on the lake. Centrally located for day trips, not to far incase my mom or grandson needed to come back.
Thank You
dirty, dirty, dirty! bare tack strip between dining & kitchen floor. moldy coffee filter in the coffee maker, from previous renters. spittle on the bathroom faucet from previous renters brushing their teeth. mold & burnt crust on the grill from previous renters. dishes in the cupboard were dirty. cheap, thin, bath towels. dusty throughout. there had been no effort into preparing the house or yard for the coming guests. windows filthy, with cobwebs on the outside. deck had not been swept, in anticipation of guests arrival. it's obviously an older home, with no updates or even effort into making it "welcoming."
Nice home with great views of the lake. Easily accommodated our adult group of seven. Wish we were there longer to have used the lake and fire pit. Accurately described.
We traveled from Kansas to Traverse City for a family wedding. We enjoyed our stay at the house. Our two 5 year old grandsons were with us. We had a great time being on the lake and using the canoe to fish !
This house was great for our larger family. We were in town for a wedding in Traverse City. Pam was wonderful to work with and very responsive to messages.
The house was perfect for our family. Nothing fancy, but clean. Rennie Lake is quiet and beautiful. Fishing was good. We went into Traverse City a couple of mornings to go to the "big lake". One thing we did not like was the dining room table. It was not very stable. Minor detail. Everything else was great!
Cabin is right on the water on Rennie Lake. Paddle boat and canoe available to use. Near lots of hiking. We really enjoyed the fire pit. Only issue was that the beds were not all that comfortable and only full size. But we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
The house was clean. The bathrooms seemed newly remolded. Everything needed was provided. We spent a lot of time down by the lake and the fire pit and beach were very nice. The dock was still broken but the host said it will be repaired soon (did catch one 2.5 lb bass. I think the fishing would have been better at the end of the dock). The walk to the beach from the house is very wooded with many tree roots. There were many falling acorns from the oak trees. I think the squirrels were trying to pelt us occasionally, lol. Overall it was a great stay.
This lake house has plenty of room - We rented this house over Labor Day and we went with 6 adults, 3 kids, and a dog and had plenty of room inside the house. There were plenty of beds to sleep in between the two rooms upstairs (Queen & Full Size Beds) and 1 bedroom downstairs on the basement level with two twin beds, along with bunk beds, couch, and futon in another part of the basement. The beds could have been a little more comfortable, however that is to be expected. There is also a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. This house is STOCKED with just about everything that you would need. The kitchen is stocked with some basic seasonings, pots, pans, silverware & utensils, etc. and there is also a coffee pot and dishwasher. You do have to replace your paper products that you use - paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The living room has a tv and DVD player, along with cards and a couple games. We brought along a hot spot and had service most of the time we were there (shotty service when it rained.) The house also has a washer and dryer. It is also stocked with plenty of towels for you and your 4 legged friends. The Lakeview is amazing from the top deck, which is where we spent most of our time. The yard and trees leading down to the quiet lake is beautiful. The beach on the lake is shallow and perfect for younger kids to play or to just dip your feet in. There is a dock there, but unfortunately it broke right when we got there when one of our kids was standing on it looking over into the water. The house also comes with a paddle boat, canoe, and little John boat, which was perfect for taking the kids out to fish. You do have to have a fishing license to fish in this lake. The house also has a fire pit out by the beach, but we did have to buy our own firewood, even though the listing says they have wood there. There is also a garage there with a ping pong table, life vests, and paddles for the boat. There is a gas station about 15 minutes from the property, but it is a little pricer than going into Traverse City. We also enjoyed eating at Peegeos - a restaurant about 10 minutes from the house - They have great food! This location is nice because it is about 20-30 minutes from Traverse City and an hour away from Sleeping Bear Dunes. It is also only about 40-50 minutes away from Torch Lake and some of the other lakes a little further north. I would recommend this house if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed vacation with kids and dogs!
This was our first time to the area as a family. We had a great time, the property was as described. There were a total of 4 different families with 3 little ones. It did get slightly crowded in the living room kitchen area, but we spent most of our time outside either exploring local sights or down by the lake. Loved the paddle boat and canoe. Also wood was provided for a campfire so that was nice. Thanks!
This was our second time renting this home from Pam. It was an incredibly pleasant trip both times!! The house has everything you could need, a boat, canoe, & paddle boat, A/C, on the lake,, and would sleep 10 comfortably. Perfect vacation home, and I have already asked Pam if we could reserve it again for the 3rd time next year.
