Staying here was far more comfortable than a hotel; and less money! Plus, we were able to have our furry friend with us all weekend. We fished and paddle boarded; all thankfully supplied by the homeowner! Thanks!
Great location and prefect for our New Years getaway. The home was clean and cozy. Good location to Traverse City and surrounding areas. Would definitely rent again.
Loved our stay! Used to kayaks and pontoon boat, lots of golf short drive away. Communication with host was easy, prompt and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again, super relaxing. Michigan in September is unbelievable.
The house is beautifully renovated and appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We love having the option to bring our dog, so thank you for being pet friendly. The lake view is lovely. I would absolutely stay again in the summer and enjoy the kayaks and backyard.
We came in for a short weekend stay with plans to visit Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was tucked away on a quiet lake in a nice area to walk the dog. The location wasnt too far from anything we wanted to do and it was a good price as well. Recommended!
This is our third stay at the freshly renovated Spider Lake house. Our family loves it. Beautiful location, and the house is just perfect in all aspects. Property owners are just incredible. Highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the property. We enjoyed being able to rent the pontoon boat and spend the afternoons on the lake. We cooked our own breakfasts and then drove into Traverse City for dinner. The drive was easy.
Perfect location. Bedrooms are small, but who spends much time there. The house was well equipped with paper goods and toys for the lake, as well as rainy days. Passed up the opportunity to purchase this place in 2016 and sorry I didn't. Tom has done a great renovation.
Very nice quiet spot on the water. House was full of necessary amenities and more. Garage was spacious and full of lake toys. We will try and stay here again. Highly recommended!
This rental was really clean and has a wonderful deck and dock. We were questioning staying on a bay instead of the main lake and it wasnât a problem. Still had a sandy bottom and was so peaceful!! Took kayaks out to the main lake.
Tom is a wonderful host and great communicator with any questions you may have. Enjoyed our stay!
This is our second time staying with Tom, and we absolutely love the location and all the amenities. Communication with Tom is great and we always make many memories with our little ones (ages 7 and 15 months). We also love that our dog is welcome. We are already counting down the days until we return next year. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
This quiet little cabin is on one of the small sections off the large body of Spider Lake in Traverse City, MI. It has been recently updated and is clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The main living area has a large TV and great views of the lake. The beds have good mattresses and combined with the peacefulness of the location, you'll be drifting off to a great nights sleep. Would readily return for another stay.
We had so much fun staying here. Tom and his wife thought of things that people would forget and had them available. Like plastic wrap, wine opener, salad dressing...ect. I was so grateful for that. There was a beautiful grill and firepit (although we didn't use the firepit)
the view was worth it alone, but the cottage was adorable....and VERY clean. Yes, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Infact we just might do the same trip next year. Highly recommend!!
I grew up in Traverse City and frequently visited Spider Lake as a kid. When I was able to find a property on the lake that needed some TLC for the right price I purchased this place and spent six months transforming a summer cabin into a year round home. I continue to make improvements as time and money allow. I am an electrician, my wife Casey works in the pharmacy at the hospital. We live about 15 minutes away.
This property is peaceful and beautiful. It's on a private drive off a dead-end road. This part of the lake is low-wake no waves, jet ski's or motor boats going by above an idle. The neighbors Art and Bonnie are great. It's a private escape 15 minutes out of town.
The view alone of the lake whether you ever intend touch the water is worth it. Even when it's raining you can find yourself mesmerized watching the rain hit the water. If your feeling more adventurous hop in the complimentary kayaks to explore the lake. It has many coves, a sand bar and a couple islands.
