Villa, Chianti au coeur de la Toscane, grande piscine, parcelle de 14 ha

Restauré à partir des ruines d'une ferme toscane typique, ce Podere se dresse au sommet d'une colline à 600 mètres d'altitude (ce qui signifie que les nuits d'été sont parfaites à l'extérieur). La maison principale peut accueillir 10 personnes et le studio (appelé Capanna) se trouve à environ 60 mètres de la maison principale et peut accueillir 2 personnes. Ils peuvent être loués séparément ou ensemble, pour un total de 12 invités.

Podere Scopeto surplombe les bois, les vignes et les villes médiévales de Radda et Castellina. La ville la plus proche est Gaiole (15 min), située dans le triangle formé par Sienne, Florence et Arezzo. C'est au milieu de la région viticole classique Gallo Nero avec Brolio, Castello Meleto, Coltibuono à votre porte. Nous avons une grande piscine d'eau salée (5 mx 14 m) avec de grandes terrasses bien exposées et des pergolas qui offrent à nos hôtes une détente absolue, mais pour les plus énergiques, il y a des kilomètres de forêts et de collines dans lesquelles se promener au-delà des 30 hectares privés entourant la maison. Il y a un grand barbecue avec suffisamment de chaises et de tables pour accueillir confortablement 12-18 personnes sur les trois terrasses. Des hamacs et des lieux de pique-nique plus isolés sont disséminés autour de la propriété à l'ombre de nos olives et de nos châtaignes. Nous avons une eau cristalline fiable provenant de notre propre système de chauffage et de plomberie sans faille et irréprochable. Nos salles de bains sont modernes et fonctionnent parfaitement. Chaque lit et chaque salle de bains ont au moins une moustiquaire dans une fenêtre. 2 cheminées encouragent nos visiteurs d'hiver. Depuis la route principale, parcourez 2,5 km dans les bois en empruntant une route non asphaltée qui ne convient pas aux véhicules surbaissés, aux caravanes ou aux motos, mais convient aux voitures normales. Nous sommes heureux de vous laisser rester pour la course cycliste traditionnelle annuelle 'Eroica' en octobre, qui se déroule chaque année à Gaiole.

La maison principale peut accueillir 10 personnes plus un enfant dans le lit d'un petit enfant qui sert normalement de petit canapé dans l'une des chambres. Si seulement la ferme est louée et non le studio, vous pouvez rencontrer des étrangers à environ 60 mètres dans le studio, qui partagent la piscine et le parking avec vous.

3 days for l'Eroica di Gaiole

We spent 3 days in Podere Scopeto for l'Eroica di Gaiole (Vintage cycling race). The house is splendid and very confortable and clean. The house is set in a very quiet place with fantastic vues over the Toscana hills. The pool is stunning. There is a 10 minutes ride on a very rough path to reach the house. Impossible to ride it with a road bike, and be very careful with your car !

Incredible place, very tricky driveway

Place was fantastic. The journey there was not clear (instead of the word document, a statement that it’s near Castelle in Chiantiapartments, would be better). People use Google maps these days, so just need something simple for aim for. The driveway from the Main Street to the property was treacherous/dangerous and needs to be made clear from the property listing about the right vehicle needed (rather than a WhatsApp message after we had already hired our cars). Once we got to the property it was brilliant. The driveway and finding the property were the only things that detracted from how good the property is.

The Roads Are No Joke

The property is outstanding! Scopeto is a magical place. The house/villa is huge- 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms- 2 en suites. It's well appointed. The property is beautiful and the pool is huge. The owner was so easy to work with. She was very communicative and helpful. I wish I had taken the warnings about the road more seriously. It is hard to convey the difficulty of the driveway/road to the villa. It is barely a road. We had a mid-sized SUV and every time we went in and out it was a mission in survival! The property is ideal for a large group who is looking to R&R in the Chianti countryside. If you plan to site see, visit wineries, etc. I would look for something more centrally located as the roads in Chianti are all small and curvy- taking quite sometime to get to places that seem like they are close by. We will do it differently next time and use our time at Scopeto to just relax and make great meals, taking everything we need on the first drive in!

Gemütliches Haus mit viel Platz in schönster Natur

Wir haben das Haus für einen Familienurlaub gemietet und waren sehr zufrieden, mit unserer Wahl. Das Haus ist riesig und bietet mehr als genug Platz für 10 Personen. Das Konzept ist durchdacht und es fehlt nichts, um eine große Gruppe zu beherbergen: Im Außenbereich gibt es direkt am Haus zwei Terrasse mit riesigem Tisch und ganztägig Sonne, sowie eine Terrasse mit großem Tisch über dem Haus, am Pool. Zusätzlich bietet der Garten viel Platz. Im Innenbereich ist neben ausreichend Schlafzimmern und Bädern besonders die große, gut ausgestattete Küche, mit entsprechend großem Essbereich, zwei Kaminen und Wohnzimmer ein Highlight. Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt, niemandem wurde langweilig, selbst bei schlechtem Wetter und wir würden das Haus mit Sicherheit jederzeit wieder mieten. Hervorzuheben ist auch der besonders nette Kontakt mit den Eigentümern, die uns vor der Reise gut unterstützt und mit allen notwendigen Informationen versorgt haben. Vielen Dank!!!

Great location with unique charm

We spend a week at Scopetto (7 adults and 4 children) and would recommend it to everyone looking for a secluded getaway with authentic charm and amazing surroundings. The house is quite impressive and has a lot of unique and charming details. Both Marina and Stefano were very helpful and accommodating in every aspect. Be sure to read Marina´s instructions as they are both detailed and valuable - especially when arriving by car. DO NOT underestimate the need for a vehicle with some offroad capability. If you plan on taking your low suspension Porsche, you will NOT reach the house. We recommend a 4X4 or something along those lines. All in all, a great experience which we would happily repeat.

In the heart of Tuscany

Situated on a hill deep in the Tuscan woods, if you’re looking for a rustic experience in nature with good proximity to several top sites in the region, this is a great option. Beautiful pool. Solid kitchen. Very private. Don’t underestimate the 2.5km unpaved driveway. In our mid-sized rental car we had wheel spin in several steep sections. The first time you drive it, it feels a bit hairy, by the third time it’s fine, but it did dissuade us from taking a brief hop to the bakery, we only left the house for one real excursion a day. The house is not ideal for kids under 4. There are steep drop-offs right next to the patios. It’s great for older kids: table tennis, big pool, lots of fun to be had. Marina was a responsive host.

Gorgeous Villa for a relaxing serene stay

This property was even better than described. Rare to find somewhere as nice on the inside as the outside space. Amazing pool and areas to eat al fresco - plus house is fabulous inside with the best kitchen we've had. The owner was brilliant to deal with - plus Stefano and Betty looked after us well for our stay. Fully recommend but take a car that can handle the bumpy road to the villa - it's well worth the drive.

Awesome Stay

We went with a group of friends, and we loved our stay. The pool is beautiful and well kept, and the house has great spaces for lunches and dinners together. There is a beautiful sunset view, and the night sky is riddled with stars. The place is very private and secluded, so to reach it there are a few km of dirt road. Highly recommended to have a 4x4 drive.

Exceeded expectations

I was looking for a villa that would match my idea of my mother’s dream of Tuscany as the holiday was to celebrate her birthday. I was happy with my choice based on the pictures but was blown away by the actual reality of the place. The house is situated in an ideal location meaning we could go to Florence for the day, Sienna and a few other places. The driveway leading to the property was more of an adventure than a hassle but indeed you do need to make sure your car has good suspension. The house itself was beautiful and appeared authentically Tuscan. Great detail was given to every aspect of the place from furniture to utensils. The house was fresh and clean and presented as an ideal layout for a large family. Another reason I chose this place was for the communal areas of the house and indeed I now have wonderful memories that these areas gave to us. The owner of the property was very helpful from the beginning and answered any questions happily. Many hours were spent by the pool and enjoying the grounds. Sunsets were spent with a glass of Chianti looking into the valley and admiring the view. Wild boars were spotted by a few of us which was exciting. Most definitely a holiday of a lifetime and i’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Gaiole in Chianti. We found it hard to find the property but with the owners directions we found it in the end. There were a couple of problems in the house but the owner made sure everything was taken care of and we were super happy about that. I would definitely recommend this beautiful house to rent for your holidays.

A little slice of paradise

Scopeto is truly a magical place, tucked away in the hills well away from the beaten track (about 3km from the main road). The house itself is beautifully appointed, and at the same time you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Surrounded by terraces at different levels (crowned by a great pool at the top level) and woods, you can always find a place to be alone or part of a bigger party. Also well placed to explore all that Chianti has to offer: in striking distance of Florence, Siena, Arezzo etc and surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the area with its hill towns, stunning views and very bendy roads that meander up and down the various hills and valleys. Loved every moment of our stay.

A stay in beautifully wild Tuscany.

What beautiful place this is! The house is comfotable, clean, well laid out, and a joy to spend time in. Roses drape over the pergola in the outdoor dining space; there are herbs to use for cooking right outside the kitchen. My children played ping pong almost non-stop, except when they were swimming in the pool. The remote setting allow guests to be truly immersed in the beautiful, wild, natural lanscape of Tuscany.

Stunning Villa in the heart of Tuscany

I stayed in this gorgeous villa with a group of friends and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills in front of the house where we enjoyed watching the sunset with a cocktail most evenings. The Villa itself is beautiful with a welcoming lounge and dining area with cosy fireplaces. The kitchen is a great meeting place where we took turns to cook delicious Italian meals with the amazing produce available locally, while drinking wine which we picked up from a local vineyard. Most days we managed to find a different place to sit down for dinner either on the terrace in front or behind the main villa, on the large concrete table by the cabana, by the pool or having a picnic in the woods down the hill. The bedrooms are stylishly decorated some with ensuite bathrooms. The view from the main bedroom's bathroom over the beautiful Tuscany countryside is to die for! After a long day wandering around Florence or Siena (both of which are easily reachable by car) having a nice soak looking out over this view was the best way to relax. The Villa is luxurious and stylish but also has a home from home feel (though it is a lot nicer than my home!!!) We spent our days lazing by the salt-water pool which is lined with olive trees and exploring the beautiful local scenery (you need to be a bit fit as it's quite hilly in parts but worth the effort). As well as Siena and Florence with their wonderful architecture and fab restaurants we flew into Pisa so managed a trip to the leaning tower all in one holiday. We're already plotting our return visit!

This time in Scopeto - Diesmal in Scopeto

Who is the One, seeking quietness instead of the hectic everyday life in office and also at home? This one really wants to sleep into the day without any disturbance and just live into the day, like it was in the old days. He really doesn‘t want to see nor hear of any strangers to disturb him. He just wants to pop up, when he likes it, and looks for his secret retreat, that no other one knows of. That‘s like it is in Scopeto! If you want it, you can be in half an hour on the Campo in Siena or in some more than an hour to Florence, just by car. You got a wonderfull, undisturbed view high up in the mountains of the Chianti, a lovely pool and a fine house for the holidays of the year. There‘s enough room for the plenty of Your‘s, but also a place to retire from the busy world. What is the price for it? The one, who likes it busy, will be at bore. The one, who wants an easy access, will curse the long and weary road. But the one, who is in the need to find Himself, he will come again and again. Philipp from Leipzig --- Wer ist es denn, der in seinem Urlaub Ruhe vor dem Alltag im Büro und seiner Hektik sucht? Dieser Zeitgenosse möchte endlich einmal ohne Störung ausschlafen und in den Tag hineinleben, wie es vor langer Zeit ganz normal war. Er möchte also weit und breit keinen fremden Menschen sehen oder hören. Er möchte nur dann ,Auftauchen‘, wenn es ihm gefällt. Und er möchte einen geheimen Rückzugsort für sich, den andere nicht kennen. So ist es in Scopeto! Wer will, ist in einer halben Stunde in Siena auf dem Campo, in einer guten Stunde in Florenz, er hat eine wunderbare, unverbaubare Aussicht hoch in den Bergen des Chianti, Pool und ein schönes Ferienhaus mit kleinem Nebengebäude, Platz für viele - aber auch die geheime Abgeschiedenheit von der geschäftigen Welt. Womit ist das erkauft? Wer es trubelig liebt, der wird sich langweilen! Wer den schnellen Zugang will, der wird den langen Weg verfluchen. Erholung pur!

Ein Ferienparadies in dem man sich sofort wie zu hause fühlt! Wir haben uns zur Schlüsselübergabe mit den Vermietern ca. 1 Stunde vor unserem Ziel getroffen. Die sehr freundliche und persönliche Begegnung mit vielen guten Ratschlägen und Tipps hat uns einen perfekten Einstieg für zwei wunderbare Wochen beschert. Wie wir schon vor Antritt der Reise wussten, ist die Zufahrtsstraße nicht unbedingt für Sportwagen oder Rennfahrer geeignet. Normale Familienwagen, mit entsprechender Vorraussicht gelenkt, haben keine Probleme diesen Weg zu befahren. Unser Wagen hat alles ohne Probleme überstanden. Da wir nun schon zum zweiten Mal in Scopeto waren kann ich sagen, dass die Straße ständig verbessert wird. Am Haus angekommen wurden wir von einem liebevoll gepflegten Garten mit blühenden Blumen begrüßt der auch während der Urlaubszeit durch einen Gärtner in bestem Zustand gehalten wurde. Das ganze Grundstück ist mit einem Elektrozaun gegen Wild gesichert der sich automatisch zur Nachtzeit einschaltet und ebenso pünktlich früh am Morgen wieder deaktiviert. Perfekt also für Gäste mit Hunden, die man aus diesem Grund den ganzen Tag sorglos ohne Leine laufen lassen kann. Dass dieser Zaun wichtig ist merkt man spätestens Nachts beim beobachten der Glühwürmchen wenn man im Wald die Wildschweine hört. Das liebevoll gestaltete Grundstück macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Gleiches gilt für den Pool. Dieser wird ebenfalls einmal in der Woche gründlich gereinigt und überprüft. Jeden Abend wurde Tischtennis gespielt und anschließend gemütlich in den Sonnenuntergang geschaut. Für einen rustikalen Grillabend ist ebenfalls alles vorhanden. Die Kochinsel lud uns des Öfteren zum gemeinsamen Kochen ein. Saubere Schüsseln, Töpfe und alles was man dafür benötigte war genauso vorhanden wie sauberes Geschirr für alle. Der große Kühlschrank bot genug Platz um unsere üppigen Einkäufe kühlen zu können. Die Badezimmer und Toiletten waren sauber und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet, genau wie alle anderen Räume. Besonders die Schlafzimmer waren so gemütlich dass man morgens gar nicht mehr aus dem Bett wollte. Zweimal in der Woche kommt Marilena vorbei um nach dem Rechten zu sehen, bezieht die Betten, wechselt die Handtücher und entsorgt den Müll. Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es keine nennenswerten Vorkommnisse, abgesehen davon das es für alle eine wundervolle Erholung war. Wenn wir könnten, würden wir sofort wieder losfahren. Leider kann man keine sechs Sterne vergeben.

Wunderschöne Anlage

Einsame Lage, wunderschönes Haus und ein Pool, der schöner nicht sein könnte. Und das alles mitten im Chianti Classico. Das Haus hat 5 Schlafzimmer, wovon 2 aber wohl eher für Kinder geeignet sind. Es gibt zwei Terrassen, wovon eine sehr geschützt ist und die andere wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge zu bieten hat. Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine tolle Poolterrasse. (Der Pool ist übrigens ziemlich tief, wir haben dies sehr genossen, da er wettkampftauglich war. Kleine Kinder können aber definitiv nicht stehen.) Das Haus und die gesamte Anlage war insgesamt sehr gepflegt. Es gibt eine große offene Küche mit einer Arbeitsinsel in der Mitte und genügend Töpfen, Geschirr und Besteck ! Die Ausstattung war wirklich hervorragend. Umso mehr haben wir es bedauert,dass die Sauberkeit der Küche leider nicht mit der des restliche Hauses mithalten konnte. Wir mussten wirklich jedes Teil, das wir benutzen erst mal spülen, der Dunstabzug war fettig und der Ofen braucht auch mal dringend eine Grundreinigung. Aber das lässt sich ja vom Vermieter, mit dem wir übrigens einen sehr guten Kontakt hatten, sicherlich verbessern. Ein Satz noch zur Zufahrt. Nachdem man von einem kleinen Ort in der Nähe von Gaiole erst mal ca. 33 Kurven hinter sich gebracht hat sind die letzten ca. 3 km Waldpiste. Diese ist in jedem Fall nicht für Fahrzeuge geeignet die tiefer gelegt sind und auch von anderen nur mit Vorsicht zu befahren. Das Haus ist wunderbar geeignet für Leute, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen, wer täglich Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen will sollte sich vielleicht etwas weniger abgelegenes suchen. Das Haus hätte von mir in jedem Fall 5 Sterne bekommen, wenn die Küche sauber gewesen wäre.
