A lovely house with plenty of room for a family Easter break with ten of us ranging in age from 2 to 75. Well equipped inside and out and a convenient location
Great house, very well equipped and with 5 ensuite bedrooms maximun flexibility for a family of 3 generations ranging from 19 to 81. Close to masses of facilities at the Point club and in Polzeath and surrounding area, and in the house itself. Very successful week even though the weather was patchy
A very comfortable house with enough space for us all to enjoy our holiday (10 guests ranging from 2-72).
Itâs unusual to find a holiday house with genuinely comfortable seating in the sitting room and a proper dining table so everyone can eat together but Oaktree House has both of these. The rooms are all a good size and well set out. The garden is large and whilst not secure for dogs and errant toddlers itâs easy enough to keep an eye on them!
Itâs got great access to Polzeath and Daymer as well as Rock.
Our week was wet but there are plenty of games including table tennis and board games to keep entertained.
We were well hosted and would definitely recommend!
We were a family of 9 and the house more than catered for all our needs. There is a space for everyone. When the sun was out, we enjoyed the wonderful terrace and garden. When we had rain some days we made use of all the games equipment. Garden was dog safe too. We walked up to the point most days for drinks, swim and driving range. We can definitely recommend the restaurant there. Food was superb and staff are helpful and friendly. Polzeath was close enough for the teenagers to walk and meet up with others in the evenings. Walked to Rock and caught the ferry to Padstow which was lovely. Our only criticism was for elderly parents who used the downstairs bedroom, they were unable to access the shower in the bath so had to be helped upstairs to use a walk in shower. However, as long as their mobility doesnât deteriorate further we hope to return next summer. The house felt like a home and we really didnât want to leave.
Great property beautifully laid out. Quiet area very handy for the golf course which is in fantastic condition. The beach at Polzeath is truly amazing although the footpath can get a little muddy. Port Isaac was super great fish and chips! We walked to Rock and got the ferry across to Padstow. Overall a super week and coming back to the property each night was very relaxing.
A large property that was perfect for our group of 9 adults and children. Multiple bathrooms (each bedroom has its own) which worked wonderfully for our mixed group. Location was perfect for beaches and set in a golfing community which we made the most off - taking the children to the pool and driving range. Plenty of space, board games provided and a lovely enclosed garden. Lots of little thoughtful touches - bins for rinsing wetsuits outside, kitchen stocked very well. Would definitely come again. Thank you!
The location of the property is amazing. The rooms were all well presented, the kitchen was a little dated but equipped with everything we needed.
The kids loved the garage with the table tennis and the garden with a goal was a big hit! We had 3 families together in here and we all had an amazing time. We would stay here again!
Peter and Susan have been coming to Cornwall for over 18 years with their children. they love Cornwall having enjoyed most holidays with their family who have grown up on fresh air, lots of sun and sand, big waves on great beaches and walks bathed in beautiful light
Oaktree sits at the end of a lane with a stone wall, gate and ranch style fence along the stream edge. The house has a 360 degree wrap around garden with lots of things to do for the kids and adults alike. The property has a really large ground floor with a twin en suite room ideal for those who don't like stairs - or just want to be nearer to the action on the ground floor. the house is perfect for 10 guests with lots of space for games, watching films and spending time together at the end of a long and energetic day outside. there is a large patio terrace that was added in 2020 and a new feature for 2024 is another large patio behind the house with an outdoor shower, trough to rinses wetsuits and a pub style table for 10.
* Please note: there are security cameras at the property. These should only be used when the property is vacant, if they are left on by mistake (with a green light showing), there are switches on the inside of the garage and kitchen that manually turn off their power.
