The property was very difficult to find -very damp , the stench hit you as soon as you walked in- we booked for 7 nights - stayed for 2 nights - advertised with a hob - no hob just a fridge- very disappointed
Terrific location for a launch site to local sites. The palaces, castle, and gardens nearby are stunning. Aside from the beautiful ocean view, a stream and park below make it obvious why people settled here long ago.
No easy laundry or cooking, so you probably don't want to stay more than a few nights.
However, some of the best food you'll find locally is next door to a laundry! Check out Retiro Do Saloio just a few minutes to the North.
Another quick tip, if you're visiting Pena Palace and enjoy walking beautiful gardens, use the Condessa entrance rather than the main. It's a lot less crazy and there is parking just outside of it.
A charming little spot right above the crashing surf. We had a comfy stay - and we were sad to go after three nights. Lovely family who hosts. Our only wish was for a couple more dishes (some plates, bowls, forks) to make it easier to eat in. We found the restaurants in town quite limited so opted to shop at the cute market in town instead. Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay there. The views are great. The beach was close. We didn't rent a car so the bus stop was very conveniente to to be ale to just get on and go where we wanted. The only thing we missed was a microwave to heat up left overs from the local restaurants.
