We are delighted to hear that you had an amazing stay at the villa, yet another satisfied guest. It is always beneficial to receive feedback and it is also important to be accurate regarding that feedback. We are comfortable that the property is clearly described as having three bedrooms and bathrooms on the website. An additional pull out bed is made available if requested by guests and is really only suitable for a younger person - hence the reference to accommodation for seven. I recall being clear about this when you made your original enquiry. Of course if you wanted a four bedroom villa, my suggestion would be to rent a four bedroom villa in the future and not a three bedroom villa. Lastly, to be accurate regarding air conditioning, the property description online says “Portable plug in fans. Property has thick a tone walls - 65cm-100cm deep - which also keep the property cool inside.” You appear to be characterising it differently which is not accurate. We are delighted Elaine that you and your party had such a lovely relaxing holiday at the villa. As a restored farmhouse villa in the beautiful Puglian countryside, it is normal in Southern Italy that quieter locations such as ours are accessed via rural ‘country roads’. I am surprised to see your comment that the VBRO website said the villa had air conditioning when it does not - just for complete clarity the website says we have “Portable plug in fans. Property has thick stone walls - 65cm-100cm deep - which also keep the property cool inside”. Clearly, it is also crucial to keep the windows and doors closed during warmer spells. Positively I guess the fact that the house is 275 metres above sea level and on the Salento peninsula also helps mitigate the heat.. You are right it is in a quiet and peaceful location - yet easily accessible to Ostuni (<6km) and Carovigno (<5km), both boasting reasonably priced Michelin starred restaurants! Ostuni in particular is a gem with its stunning whitewashed Old Town, a Unesco World Heritage site.

Thank you Peter - we are delighted that you had a ‘super’ holiday at our villa. We fully agree with you that it is in a wonderful location which makes for an idyllic break in the Puglian countryside. We are always keen on making improvements so your feedback is very useful to us. Ottavio should have shared the shutter keys with you. I am not sure whether you are used to having to separate all your household waste, but I am afraid it is required by local laws in Ostuni for environmental reasons. I will make sure we tighten whatever screw has become loose with the bed, these things can happen so thanks for letting us know. Dear Pippa We are delighted that you found Casale Pangea is a haven of tranquility to use your words - which as a host is really lovely to hear. Its certainly a great escape in the sun, but with everything you want within a close enough distance. The laneway is certainly narrow though not at all unusual for the Pugliese countryside, bordered by the beautiful limestone walls.
