This cute little bungalow was just what we needed for our trip to Galveston!! It was the perfect location for our needs. The pool and outdoor area was beautiful and so inviting! We had a few simple issues which the hosts took care of immediately. Their communication with us was top notch, which we appreciated!! We would stay in their home again next visit!
Our family of 5 had a fabulous time at this charming home. We had plenty of room, loved the hot tub and pool, and were a short walk to the beach. The house had plenty of amenities from beach towels, shampoo n conditioner, pool toys, kitchen appliances, etc. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 for cleanliness was because it is an older home with older details in some of the rooms. The home owner was quick to get back on text and dropped off essentials when we ran out. Our family is hopeful to be back!
House was perfect and fit us well, 6 travelers. Kids loved the pool and we loved the jacuzzi. Close to everything and we really enjoyed Galveston! Highly recommend this property. The owners were present for questions and suggestions on what to do. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.
The owner was helpful in explaining the hot tub and the house in general. The hot tub and pool were very clean! We enjoyed spending time on the patio! Everything was great! Would stay again next time I am in Galveston.
We very much enjoyed our stay. We had a family vacation over Christmas, which included my 91 year old grandmother (limited mobility) and my 13 year old son (all ages in between). The seating both inside and out was fantastic and made for great family time. The owners reached out on several occasions to give us additional information which was appreciated.
We had a great stay in Galveston and the hosts were pleasant and accomodating. The house is centrally located to the beach, dining, and other attractions. The house itself is setup nicely and well accomodated. We would recommend this house and these hosts.
We definitely overpacked for this stay - the house was SO well stocked! From toiletries, to towels, to pool and beach items, all was at our disposal. The home was comfortable and roomy. The backyard pool area was the highlight of our trip for my kids. They were in the pool sun up to sun down. Communication with the owners was easy and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay! While it is walkable to the beach, I wouldn't necessarily advise it! We drove the short distance to avoid dragging all our gear, and parking was easy and pretty affordable on the seawall.
The photos and information on the listing were spot on. The house was adorable and filled with all that we needed. We traveled from PA with very little luggage. Towels, laundry, sheets, bedding and even toiletries were available to use. The beach was in walking distance and there was a wagon, sand toys, inflatables, coolers and other beach goodies to use. We had a great time using the pool and grill. The owner kept the pool very clean. Our large family of 8 would stay there again and bring a friend!!!
We absolutely loved everything about this place. There were 6 of us. My husband, myself and our 4 children ages 16-20. The communication was excellent. The location to the beach is very convenient, and we loved the backyard! We enjoyed early mornings on the patio overlooking the pool watching the birds every morning. We spent our days at the beach and our evenings grilling and playing in the pool and the late nights in the hot tub. The place was beautifully decorated with plenty of space for all of us. The grocery store is a very short drive and there is a short drive to the donut shop and restaurants. They had lots of towels and wash clothes available, a washer and dryer, a Keurig, rafts for the the pool and beach toys. We were all very impressed and plan to come visit again!
This was our first time in Texas and it was such a great experience. The house is a short walk to the beach and it was very cool to look up in the sky and see all the pelicans flying. We used the pool and hot tub everyday - the backyard was perfect with lots of seating in the sun or the shade. We met Anna and JC and they were just as nice in person - great communication and they were very flexible. The kitchen is a little small if you plan on making meals at the house but we made it work - they have absolutely everything you need though. Thank you for opening your home to us! We will be back for sure.
Home exactly as pictured with good sized pool and ample outdoor seating in the sun and shade. Six kids from 1-9 and four adults in our party fit comfortably in the house. Pack n play there for little one. Walkable to beach but easy beach parking one minute from house. Kitchen is small but was efficient. Good communication from hosts made it a great week.
House was great for our group of 12, which included a wheelchair. Everyone had a mattress to sleep on & there were plenty of towels, blankets & pillows. Kitchen was also well stocked with lots of plates, cups & cookware. Hot tub was a huge hit with our crew! And the 5 min walk to beach was amazing! Also appreciated use of washer & dryer.
As mentioned in another review, bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair, but they aren't advertising as handicap accessible, so we weren't expecting it to be. But garage entrance was great for the chair!
Only downside was overall size of rooms were smaller than they appeared in pictures & all closets/drawers/cabinets had so much stuff in them it was hard to unpack anything. Also, would be awesome perk if pool could be heated. ;)
Anna & JC were easy to communicate with & accommodated our early arrival so graciously. They even left us some cookies & pumpkin pie & champagne for New Year's Eve! ;)
The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was wonderful. They let us know the house was ready for checkin prior to our checkin time. The location was great for our stay on the island, very close to everything. It was too cold for us to use the pool, but the hot tub was perfect. Great experience!
The check/In process was a little different - I had to complete a waiver 2 days before check/in for the hot tub and pool. I understand why, but would have thought it would have been sooner than this so all staying could sign without being rushed.
Hot tub was full of chlorine. We couldnât use it with the Jets going because it stirred it up so bad it would take your breath and burn your eyes. The house itself was nice and exactly what we were looking for, just a few tweaks.
We didnât have great communication - I think it was the app. I was getting messages from the PO after midnight, then got check out instructions at 8:30 when checkout was at 10. It wasnât anything difficult, we just planned on leaving earlier than 10 so we had to hang out to get some of their requests done.
We had a great time - house was fully stocked with everything we needed and even though it rained over half the time we were there we still got outside to enjoy the pool and loved the hot tub. Owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to texts/emails. Definitely recommend this house
Beautifully decorated home and backyard. Very well-furnished with supplies in bathroom and kitchen - best I have ever seen! We stayed for 3 nights and the beds we slept in were surprisingly very comfortable.
Our 7 grandkids LOVED the pool! The weather was very hot (August in Texas đ) but the house stayed comfortably cool. That was very much appreciated! All in all it was a fun and memorable experience and if we can we would love to stay there again.
However, there are a few things I would like to point out for any other guests who may use wheelchairs. The front door entrance has a rather large step and was difficult to tilt the WC back far enough to get up to the landing. After we got into the house we discovered that the garage made a much better entrance for anyone in a wheelchair, so if you know that, it is not problem, so just a heads up.
One other issue with WC accessibility is that my daughters WC was too large to make it through the bathroom doorways. My daughter
does use a larger sIze WC so a regular size might work fine. I just mention that because it COULD be a problem for others too. Getting around in a wheelchair was no problem for the rest of the home or patio.
I guess the home is a 5 minute walk to the beach IF you can walk but if you have a wheelchair you will have to drive to a further point. (To access the beach all along the sea wall you have to walk down stairs.)
One other word of caution for those with kids who may not be able to swim well but donât need to wear life jackets. The pool slopes off to âdeepâ much quicker than one might expect. I would say that approximately two thirds of the pool is deep. Just be aware of that.
There was an ample selection of different size and style life jackets and there were numerous pool floats and toys. All of us - even the adults - were quite impressed with what we labeled the âtorpedoâ toy which seemed to travel through the water effortlessly.
The only real âdisappointmentâ is that the hot tub was âoff seasonâ. I did not see that mentioned anywhere in the listing but was told that on the day before our arrival. Perhaps I just missed seeing that piece of info.
Our group ranged from 4-78 and every one of us had a âletâs do that againâ experience!
Six of us rent a beach house once a year but we usually go the tradition beach on the west side. This was a single family with a pool so first thing is no stair climbing and dragging all your stuff up there in 100 degree heat! House was great and neighborhood quiet. Only issue was pool was green on the last day. However, I called the owner and he walked me through shocking it. Not sure what the pool treatment schedule is but the pool guy should come more frequently. The kitchen is really small but we knew that and planned our meals to cook ahead mostly. Everything was really clean and lots of room to sit and visit.
