On our arrival we were welcomed by Kelsie and David, our lovely hosts. The cottage is well appointed and having a double bedroom on the ground floor was one of the reasons we chose the cottage. We were not disappointed and immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. The views are fantastic and the walks around the area are excellent and well marked. We stayed fir nearky 2 weeks and would have loved to stay longer..Can definitely recommend a stay expecially fir an older couple
Our stay was more than we expected. The view is beautiful and all of us took walks around the property to see the flora and the fauna. The kids had a great time wandering around as well. Very comfortable and very clean.
The setting of this quaint cottage is what mostly sets it apart, situated on a farm with cows and horses, and plenty of walking paths to enjoy it. The hosts could not have been more helpful, welcoming and wonderful, almost making us feel like extended family. They even invited us to their Christmas party. All in all, it was a glorious extended stay that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.
I came as a stranger and was welcomed with so much warmth that it was almost like meeting family.
The holiday home is very comfortable and has everything you could want.
It was my first trip to Ireland and the World Trial, it was an incredible experience. The cottage offers enough space for traveling with dogs. When the weather is nice you can sit comfortably outside and when it rains you can let your gaze wander inside.
Many sights are easy to explore, shop or simply unwind.
Everything is possible
I will definitely come back.
Thank you very much, greetings Kirsten and the border collie.đŸđŸ
Idyllic stay in the country! Traveled with a one year old and three year old. Host provided a high chair and pack n' play for my one year old, which made everything that much easier. The house is perfect! Lots of space for a traveling family and ideal space outside for the littles to run. There was milk and eggs for us in the fridge, as well as cookies, coffee, tea, and sugar. We enjoyed walking around the grounds, seeing the cows, horses, and beautiful views. Host had excellent recommendation to get quick fix meals and all the information you need is available in the multiple binders, brochures, and maps provided. Looking forward to the next time we can visit!
We had a enjoyable stay in this cosy cottage. Owners are very friendly & helpful. Views are great. We all enjoyed the walks around the laneways & woodland especially our little dog who had the freedom to explore. Hopefully we will have the chance to return. Thank you
We enjoyed our holiday.
The area is superb and handy for all services. The weather was also good for the week.
As for the dogs they thought it was fantastic many walks straight from the back garden.

My husband and I are both retired, I have Connemara ponies which guests are welcome to talk . We live in the 1840s farm house and the cottage is a converted farm building built in 1990 for my parents. It has been a holiday cottage now for about 20 years and we have many regular visitors. The farm has cattle grazing and we cut silage in the summer. We work with the RSPB to encourage birdlife on the farm and are involved in the Environmental Farming Scheme. We have small woods (oak and other native species) and have this winter created a laneway between the woods so that our guests can easily access them and enjoy walking round the farm without going into the fields with cattle and ponies. We enjoy having guests and welcome children and dogs . We are both keen walkers and are happy to advise on good places to visit or trails to walk.
We are the ideal place to stay for anyone wanting to explore all that Co Down has to offer. Delamont Country Park is less than 2 miles away with access to Strangford Lough. Wonderful walks to explore at National Trust property Castleward and Rowallane or take the car ferry across Strangford Narrows and visit Mount Stewart . Or you can go climbing in the Mourne Mountains. We have maps and good information and are pleased to advise guests .Play golf ? there are numerous good golf courses nearby including some that are internationally famous Children will enjoy lovely sandy beaches less than half an hour away . History of the area is well documented at the St Patrickâs Centre in nearby Downpatrick. You can also book on guided tours or visit the old tower houses and castles around Strangford Lough. Just so much to do and see. We can recommend several Forest parks where you can enjoy great walks with yours dogs and children. We are less than 20 miles from Belfast where you can visit the Titanic Centre and enjoy shopping or lively night life!
