Beautiful home & Amazing Location

The house was beautiful. The owner was very responsive to our messages and accommodated us needing a playpen for one of our twins. The kids loved the heated pool at night. Would definitely stay here again!!

The Perfect Beach House!

The house was amazing and only a short walk to the beach. This was our first trip to St. George Island and we plan to make the island and this property our go-to spot for future vacations! The location, the house, the pool and the pet friendly rules were all beyond perfect! Thank you for sharing your home!

Great location close to the beach and all the right amenities

Very well kept and very easy in and out. There was everything we need. Parking, golf cart the out door shower and fenced yard for our pets was perfect. No issues with size and everything worked.

I was impressed with the house! The yard was great for the dogs, and the location was perfect. We could walk across to the beach or ride bikes along the path across the street. Everything was exactly as pictured and described.

Perfect Getaway

This house is perfect for a beach getaway! Very short walk to beach and short drive to the island center with restaurants and stores. The house was very clean and cozy, and well stocked with anything you might need. Our host was also very communicative and provided great details before the stay to help plan and pack.

Fall adventure with friends

There were 4 of us adults and our large dog. We came down to SGI to go to Porchfest and enjoy SGI. This property was great for us - close to the beach, a great yard for our dog, wonderful pool and lovely deck for enjoying coffee and conversation. The weather was perfect and the host was super helpful.

Great family trip!

We had the opportunity for a last minute trip with my daughter, her husband and my two “granddogs.” This house is perfect for pups - the fenced in area was great! The house was also great for adults - we had plenty of room, the home was clean and the pool was lovely. Walk to the beach was minimal. We would highly recommend!

Wonderful kid, dog, and adult stay

House was great. Pool was wonderful. Everything we needed for the doggie and the toddler. Well stocked. Beach is a short walk. Only 2 “need improvement” items: drawers/cabinets in kitchen have badly peeling laminate (paper) and child/dog gate at top of deck steps is hard to open/close.

Our Happy Place

This was our 4th trip to SGI and this home was by far our favorite. The home was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. With a family of 8 adults and a baby we never felt crowded. The location to the beach was a short walk to the beach and the beach was beautiful as always! Laura messaged me a couple of weeks before our vacation and told me to go look at pictures that they added a pool! That became our favorite afternoon activity after being in the heat all morning at the beach. The pool area is beautiful! We would definitely rent here again!

Great house for a beach stay with your dog!

Fenced back yard was great for our 2 dogs. Some of the denser parts of the landscaping was a challenge at times as our dogs would like to go into the bushes where we could not see them well. Kitchen is well appointed. Overall we had a great stay!

Fun, Cozy Family Stay

We loved our long weekend at Family Tradition. Laura was a spectacular hostess: lovely and super responsive. The house is beautifully appointed, everything you need for a great gathering. The house is well laid out so feels both spacious and yet cozy. Short walk to the beach and fully equipped with everything you could need. All in all, a wonderful stay.

A great stay!

We had the best week! The house had everything needed it was like being at home away from home. We loved playing corn hole in the evenings. The kitchen was very well stocked for all our cooking needs! The walk to the beach was so easy with the access right across in front of the house. We hope to be back very soon!

Terrific pet friendly house. Great back yard with lots of shade and plenty of room for our fur babies to run around. Inside the house had ample room for the 5 adults. The bay side of island was perfect for watching the sunset.

Met all our needs

The house met all our needs, the priority for us was the close walking access to beach across the street. Next was the needs of our dogs that was met with the fenced yard that was well maintained so we did not worry about escaping dogs:)

Cozy and comfortable

Great deck space, ample parking. Short walk to the beach. Having wifi and Netflix available is awesome. The AC works great too. Housekeeping was sub par, definitely in need of a deep clean. Enjoyed my stay nonetheless.

Clean home friendly owner

We loved all the extra's. Owner has great beach chairs, great wagon to pull to beach. We had plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was a nice plus!! Owner has the nicest park style grill I've seen in all the years we've stayed at SGI. She also has a smoker available. The backyard would be great for pups! We loved the beach access, the path was next to house. It was an easy walk to beach.

Great trip

This is probably our 10th trip the SGI. This house was, by far, the best equipped house we have visited. Only complaint is July on the Forgotten Coast. Whew, heat index of 105 all seven days. But that didn’t stop us. This house just about everything we needed. Pease note, no need to buy lighter fluid. Check the storage room below before you go to the store. Lol. Thanks Laura.

My grandmother was one of a handful of full time residents on St. George Island when she purchased property in the 1950s. The first trips I made to the island were via ferry boat. Sometime following my grandmother's death, her house was sold.
In 1993 my mother purchased the house that I now own. My grandchildren are the fifth generation of our family to fall in love with St. George Island.
