This was what a vacation rental used to be- owner run the personal touches and communication that makes all the difference. The place was beautiful and location was fantastic. She has wonderful communication- including providing me with emergency info to ease any fears post hurricane. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will come again!

We loved staying at Back to the Beach! The house was very clean and spacious and the owner has thought of everything to make one feel right at home. The property grounds are beautiful and make it feel like you are tucked away in a private oasis. The owner was very communicative and easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again!

Wendy is a wonderful and attentive host. The cart to take items to the beach was appreciated by all. We enoyed the bikes, kayak, toys, and games provided. We visited the pool which has the graduated entry and it was perfect for the younger kids. The quiet beach is just what we were looking for. Thank you Wendy for sharing your home at the beach.

Love love the place. Be prepared to walk stairs, there are 2 flights but nothing terrible. If your handicap maybe not so great. I will definitely stay again.

We had awesome communication with host and she was highly responsive. Loved the house and property. It’s so shady with seating areas. Enjoyed the bikes so much, as well as beach and pool. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great, grill was great and sofas comfortable. Area under the house is great as well and we sat there often! Living room has windows that allow the outside trees to surround you. Great seating areas on deck. We had an awesome time and would stay again. Welcome gifts were huge surprise and such an appreciated touch.

When we decided to look for a spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated home on St George Island to stay at that was at the beach that gave us the privacy we valued with the convenience of just a few steps to the beach I wasn’t sure if that was going to be possible. We wanted to celebrate our retirement by staying at the beach with some of our children & grandchildren, and bring our shitzu Jack too! I dreamed of a modestly decorated home, promised myself I wouldn’t be too particular as long as it had the space, privacy, & proximity to the beach we needed. Never did I expect to find such a beautiful and thoughtful property that started welcoming our family from the first moment I made the reservations! Going “Back to the Beach” has been just perfect! This host, this location, and this property will become your favorite! The property and home were thoughtfully planned and decorated that if you are the only one in the home you don’t feel alone. There are so many cozy areas to curl up and enjoy the beautiful views inside or out. At the same it is so spacious that it welcomes a a huge family! Wendy thoughtfully has so many added touches to her home that could have arrived with our clothes lacked for nothing. The Gilbert’s hope you too will bless yourself and/or yours by visiting St George Island and Back to the Beach!

Great stay at Back to the Beach

Our family had a great stay! We loved the spacious living area, privacy and proximity to the beach. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our vacation. We hope to stay here again.

Family Spring Break Trip

Fantastic

Back to the Beach has a great vibe. The lot is beautiful and secluded but it is just a short walk to the beach. The owner was great to work with. The house was perfect for our family, very clean and in great shape.

Wow!

Super location that is secluded but just a minutes walk from the beach!The bikes that came with the property we're great! As a family we probably spent more time on those than in the water! Such a peaceful place! We're in love with the island and this property!
