Great home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. Everything that was needed was there and then some. Peggy was so helpful with suggestions for hiking and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. We give it 5 stars.
Our stay at Pine Place was most ideal. The apartment was clean, cheery, peaceful, plenty big for our needs and very nicely appointed with an Adirondacks theme. The location is very convenient to Main Street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Peggy, our host, is kind, she is easy to talk with, she is very gracious and welcoming and she is happy to provide wonderful recommendations on what to see and on what to do. My family and I look forward to a return stay as we are back in the area. Thanks so much, Peggy, for making our Lake Placid vacation so positively memorable.
Because of travel problems we ended up not staying, but Peggy was an absolutely first-rate host. Extremely responsive and attentive to our situation. Among the best of the VBRO hosts I've interacted with
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cozy, comfortable home. Very clean, very well taken care of, and enjoyable decor. Instructions and communication with landlord very easy and clear. We appreciated having the variety of amenities to be easily able to prepare our own food. A great space for our family of 4. Very convenient location, just a short walk over the hill through a lovely neighborhood to get to town. Highly recommend this place!
We have stayed here many times and love it every time. The condo is well furnished, spotlessly clean, and very cozy and comfortable. The owner is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend this property and we look forward to our next visit
Clean, comfortable and walkable to downtown. 5 min drive to Hannaford. Host provided all the necessities and loads more for a wonderful and restful vacation.
The apartment had everything we needed. Within walking distance to town for a walk around Mirror Lake. Very clean. Comfy bed. Hope to come back next year.
Clean, well appointed apartment. Near downtown Lake Placid and all the other attractions. Host was pleasant to work with. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Peggyâs place while we were in town for a family wedding. This place is a great location if you are looking to be close to town. Only minutes from all the lake placid legacy sites, downtown shops and eateries. We made it work with a family of 6, but it was a little tight with just one bathroom, but would be perfect for a family of 4. House was clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
This place is like staying at a friends house. Itâs VERY clean. No bugs (as a nurse something I always look for-Iâve seen to many), amazing water pressure, and everything you could need in the kitchen. There are two air conditioning units and that will cool the whole place. The pull out sofa has a mattress topper and itâs very comfortable. You can walk to the village, the location is great. Donât hesitate to book this gem!
Travelled to Lake Placid for an extended family weekend and had a wonderful time. The apartment location was perfect allowing us to walk to the main drag for shopping/dining and drive to locations further away avoiding the typical high traffic areas in/around town
The apt was lovely. We stayed there for a few days for the Ice Skating competition. I have lived or visited lake placid for almost 40 years. Never have I ever had a scenario like this one. We cleaned the apt OVER AND ABOVE all expectations. We mopped the floors and vacuumed the carpets and took the sheets off the beds and put them in the washing machine. The owner texted me that we left a banana peel under the couch and a fork and that there was dog food from our service dog all over the apt. That is absolutely impossible as we fully vacuumed everywhere. We stayed there with my parents and my mother is an ocd person who helped me to clean every room immaculately.
I took pictures after we cleaned because I had a feeling that this woman was going to mess with us. While we were there she knocked on the door. My mothers service dog was with us - which she was nice enough to approve but then she said (in front of the kids) " you can come back when your dogs die". It was so rude. We tried to throw the garbage away but she insisted that we keep the garbage in the room on the porch - and then she mysteriously went through our trash and accused us of throwing things away that was her. I am absolutely appalled and still waiting for my sec deposit back.I find It horrible that she was prepared to mess with us from the get go.
It was very much appreciated how clean the property was! Canât stress this enough. It was accurately listed and a convenient walk to Main Street. It was a good experience.
We did a weekend trip. My two daughter's and their two sons. The house was a perfect fit and the location was great. Check-in was easy and the house was clean and had everything that we needed. We will definitely keep this location on the short list for future stays.
This place is phenomenal. The pictures did not do it justice. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. The hosts thought of everything! Wish we could have stayed longer. We had an overnight snowstorm and woke up to our porch and steps already shovelled!
Highly recommend this property! Already planning for next year!
Perfect home away from home. Will absolutely look here first any time we need a lake placid place to stay. Beds comfy. Kitchen had what we needed. Pristinely clean. Lovely owner.
I moved to Lake Placid in 1995 because of the abundance of outdoor activities in all seasons. I was pleased to discover an abundant arts community as well. I bought my small house in 1998 and built the Pine Place addition in 2002. I am a dual citizen with Canada and speak French. I love to travel internationally, especially on adventure travel trips.
Pine Place is right in town so you can walk to almost everything! It's in a nice neighborhood. When I bought the house, Pine Place was not there. I built the addition that has Pine Place in 2002, acting as my own general contractor! I am very proud of what we created and know you will love staying there.
I maintain Pine Place myself and am pleased that it has many extras not found in other rentals. Pine Place has paper towels, dish and laundry soap, salt/pepper/spices and is beautifully furnished with antiques, original art and taxidermy. It's more like a home than a rental.
