This property definitely deserves FIVE STARS!!! It's the BEST place we've ever stayed!!! Lovely condo. Big kitchen. Comfy living room for 6. Super special, large porch over-looking tropical greenery and the wide, wavy ocean. Inviting place for meals & evening drinks. The condo offered bikes, chairs, all kinds of floaties & more. The location couldn't be better. There's not one thing missing. It was PERFECT!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting at Sanddollar for many years and used several different companies to rent through. The experience with Select has always been professional, smooth and flawless. We had an issue with not having our storage key which was resolved within a day. The condo itself is in a great location with private access to the beach, so there is always room to setup a couple of chairs and enjoy the sun. The complex has a great patio, pool area and 4 grills for the times you just want to stay late on the beach and not rush to a dinner reservation. Can't wait to go back!

B- For Sanibel Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is very nice, a little dated, but clean. The screened-in deck still had No See-ums- I do realize this is a problem all over Florida and for a long time, so I’m not asking for Select Vacation Properties to suddenly have the solution! However, I do suggest the porch AND screens are washed inside and out for some/any preventative measure. View is excellent, as was tennis court and pool. We were often the only ones in the pool. The condo, however, receives a D- at best for having normal kitchen, laundry, household supplies. Never have I stayed at a rental that was as inconveniently empty as this one. No garbage bags, no dishwasher pods or liquid, hand towels and dish towels need to be scrapped for rags and replaced immediately with new. No cleaning products, not even a package of Clorox wipes- AND IT’S COVID PEOPLE. I would not stay in this unit again. I question if I will ever book with Select Vacation again if this is their policy for all of their rentals. Also, it’s ridiculous that we have to go back to their office to return condo keys at end of our stay. Just another inconvenience. Can’t you figure out another way?

Hi Nancy, Thank you so much for taking the time to write regarding your recent stay with us. Though we are disappointed to hear your stay was less than perfect I am grateful you made us aware. We can only fix what we are aware of. I'm equally disappointed to hear your comments as we not only had the property cleaned, but also inspected. Per the inspection report a starter packet was placed in the condo prior to your arrival. The starter packet consist of toilet paper, paper towels, 2 dish detergent pods, 2 laundry detergent pods, trash bags and tissue. This is given as a curtesy by the cleaners so guests do not have to immediately go out for such items. It’s meant to get you through the first couple of days. Because of covid we do remove all items such as seasonings. It is customary when you book a hotel to have a sufficient amount of toiletries for the duration of your stay, however when renting a private condo or home, it is customary to provide guests with a starter packet, however this does not include cleaning products. I apologize for the frustration regarding no-see-ums. Despite our best efforts and to no avail we have not discovered a way to cure/ help this issue that some guests experiences. The only way we can help is to make guests aware prior to their arrival so they may purchase repellent during their stay. Please know most of our properties do offer direct check-in/check-out with our new keyless entry system. We do have a few owners who have a personal preference and have declined this feature. Because of your experience we will present the keyless entry to the owner of Sanddollar #C302 again. Again, we apologize for the frustration and disappointment you experienced. We are available 24/7. Should you arrive and find your condo in less than perfect condition please call so that we may rectify immediately. Should you like to further discuss please feel free to call as I'm happy to help. Wonderful Vacation!

We travel to Florida every year for vacation and this is one of the best places we have stayed. The condos are clean, spacious and decorated nicely. By far the cleanest place we have stayed. Even the patio is clean and sand free! Each unit came with an outdoor storage unit and we were able to use beach chairs, floats, umbrellas, etc. That is nice because space in the car is limited. We cannot pack all those items and drive from KY. The unit is large enough for everyone to have privacy. Mirrors make the rooms feel larger. I stayed in the master bedroom and liked the built in shoe rack in my closet. There are also ceiling fans in each room, which I enjoy. There are many restaurants on the Island that take no time to get to. All the tropical plants and wild animals (iguanas, rabbits, birds) are something special! Overall is is a nice town and beautiful beach! It was a blessing to get to visit here.

Very nice condo in a great location

This condo is a very nice 3/2 in Sanddollar. It’s on the third floor (with the ground floor being the 4th), the top floor, so the view is excellent. The elevator is great on checkin and checkout days! The condo was mostly very clean - the kitchen drawers and some appliances were a little icky, and some of the bath towels a bit stained, but we cleaned that quickly enough. The carpets and furnishings were in excellent shape and overall it was very comfortable and decorated very nicely. Yes, the beach towels are a bit worn and the kitchen is a mishmash of equipment… that’s very typical for a privately owned beach condo. We found everything we needed for an excellent week in Sanibel. The downstairs storage closet had a lot of items for borrowing including floats, an umbrella, chairs, pool noodles, a cooler, and a boogey board!

Warm inviting stay at the beach

Perfectly pristine property. Every room was welcoming and comfortable. Only complaint would be the TVs in the bedrooms did not work all of the time but the wifi was great and we had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back!

Great Location!! Great View!!

My family vacationed in Sanibel and Captiva for many years but I had not been back in at least five years. Unlike most of Florida, Sanibel was surprisingly unchanged and that is a great thing. Obviously, they have strict guidelines for growth on the island. My mom, sister and I stayed here in April / May, 2022. The condo was comfortable for three of us. I would suggest a couple of comfortable chairs in the living room for watching TV and hanging out because if there was more then three people someone would be sitting in not-so-comfortable seating. We spent a great deal of time on the patio which has a fabulous view of the ocean. I could not ask for a better view. The location is so convenient for getting on and off the island. Close to the grocery store, shopping and the bridge. There are a few repairs that need attending as some drawers in the guest bath were broken. The kitchen "tools" might need to be cleaned out, updated and reorganized. The coffee/tea cups were tiny and we ended up picking up some bigger cups so we were not in and out all morning long from the screened patio (obviously not a big issue). The beds were comfortable. Kitchen easy to use. Pick up a bag of ice as there is no ice maker so you will be going through a lot of trays of ice. The master bedroom and bathroom were very good sizes. Plenty of space in both. There is a storage unit under the building with some old beach chairs and equipment. Looks like mostly things other guests have purchased and left behind. Messy space but we were not expecting those things to be provided anyways. In my past experience with rentals there are usually plenty of beach towels and in this case there were only a few and they were ragged and some full of holes. Bring your own. The pool is between this building and another building by the parking lot so the view there is nothing to get excited about. That said, you are on the ocean so who cares? All in all, this was a great experience and I would recommend this unit. Fun in the sun, what more could you ask for?

Great location and property

Clean, efficient and great for our family of 4. Location is terrific, the morning sunrise was right outside the master bedroom window -- beautiful. We enjoyed the beach, bike paths and loved having pickleball courts.

Two Glorious Weeks in Sanibel, Florida

The property is wonderful. A few issues with Internet and TV connections, but easy to fix. The overall cleanliness of the unit was a little less than expected for such a beautiful condo. In general: under/around the refrigerator needs cleaned along with the fingerprints at toddler level on the sliding doors. The kitchen needs more utensils, potholders and a few cleaning supplies would be useful to help the upkeep going. VIEW= :-)

Great week at Sanibel

Excellent location. Very easy access to beach and close to shops. GREAT view! Our best stay yet on Sanibel. We would definitely come again. One of our party is essentially wheelchair bound. The access with the elevator to the unit was perfect. We rented a beach wheelchair and had easy access to the beach for grandma. A trip we will all remember.

week long visit, Summer 2021

Property was perfect for my family of 5 - that includes 3 teenagers. Location was close to everything. The beach in front of the unit was as nice , in our opinion, than any of the "public" spots on the island. The screened in deck overlooking the Gulf was the selling factor in selecting this unit and it did not disappoint. The condo had all then needed items to help us enjoy our stay. The unit upon arrival was very clean. Check in / Check out was smooth. Very pleased overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. We stay at Sanddollar every year. It has everything we need, beach, pool,tennis. Condo has an amazing view. Great to fall asleep and wake to the sound of the gulf. Condo was clean, and spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids. Kitchen was somewhat well equipped. Could use some pot holders and dish towels. Overall we extremely happy with our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit is a little dated, needs updating. Kitchen could be better equipped,, and all the fake plants and plants stands need a good dusting. Rental/management company was great!
