It saddens me that this post was written and I pray the prior renters do find piece and happiness in life. A quick response to claims and comments in the prior post... 1. The refrigerator is less than two years old and is in good working order. However yes, It is typical when renters come in on Saturday to leave door open while loading of which the unit does not cool. Please be aware that it will take time (few hours) for the unit to catch-up and maintain temperature. 2. Yes, the HVAC unit (which is also less than 2 years old) did stop working due to a clogged drain line. We had the service company out and the issues was resolved within 24 hours of initial communication. Due to the heat and the busy island traffic a 24 hour response is about as fast of service as one could expect. Please note the HVAC units were serviced only 2 weeks prior and therefore we could not have predicted nor prevented the clogged hose. 3. The claim of no response is simply untrue as we stayed in contact throughout the week via daily text. 4. The claim of no refund is simply untrue... The guest was refunded for one full day of the vacation (rental cost) of which they were refunded before the guests ever vacated the property. The refund was based the HVAC unit inconvenience. 5. Dogs are not allowed in the rental property so I thank the prior renters for letting us know of the hair outside. 6. The dehumidifier did and does work properly. Dehumidifiers work by pulling moisture out of the air. If the tank does collect water and is not emptied the dehumidifier will stop working. I would like to thank the prior renter in teaching me a good lesson and encouraged me to add language within the rental terms and conditions. The prior family posting this review left a loaded firearm on the property. The arriving family did find the weapon and luckily the minor who found it communicated immediately with the father. We took quick action and asked the local police to come collect the weapon. Again, I wish only the best to the prior family and that their future vacations are less dramatic. I do encourage everyone if you do choose to travel with firearms to understand firearm safety protocols and ownership safety. Cordially, Home owner
