Welcome to Blue Tortuga OIB! Catch rays from the beautiful open deck or enjoy shady, relaxing days on the covered deck. Our home is a quick 3 minute walk from the beach. Picture your days going from the pool to the ocean and back again. Enjoy the ability to walk to the pier, mini golf, and Town Center Park for the playground, splash pad, and summer movie/concert series.

Our home is on the desirable west end of the island with uncrowded and quick access to the beach. Ample parking available is available at the house.

The main floor offers a spacious open living room and kitchen floor plan ideal for family to gather. Dine together comfortably at our large dining room table and large island.

Five bedrooms and five full bathrooms can accommodate your group. Ideal for family/friends to have privacy. Each bedroom other than the bunk room features an en suite bathroom. The layout is ideal for multi-generational families to enjoy a week at Ocean Isle together with a master on each floor along with plenty of space for older or younger kids. Linens are available to rent for a small charge from the cleaning staff.

Amenities include a private community pool, enclosed hot and cold outside shower, Keurig and coffee maker, washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, blender, all cookware, high chair, pack 'n play, and secure Wi-Fi.

A great getaway

The house was perfect for our families, we loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, probably one of the best stocked kitchens. We loved being on the corner and having some yard space for corn hole, etc.

Great location, great value

This house is in a great location, a short walk to the beach. Our group had seven adults and four kids and we were pleasantly surprised by how family friendly the house was. Having access to the pool within walking distance was a lifesaver. We had a great time!

The house was lovely. Perfect location. Lovely neighborhood. and beach access is literally directly across the street from neighborhood entrance. The host was a great communicator. Definitely would recommend this home to anyone.

We had 11 people (6 adults & 5 kids) at the house. We had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The pool is close to the house and beach is an easy walk away! We will definitely be back!!!!

Awesome House, Great Location!

There were 7 adults and 2 children in the house during our stay there. We had plenty of room. The layout of the house is very nice and spacious. We enjoyed the fact that the public beach access was close by. The house and property was clean and well-kept. We would use this property again on any future trips to the area.

As advertised the home was very well stocked. Good location as it was an easy walk to beach and easier to the pool. OIB also has much to offer for entire family. I would suggest adding a recycle trash can in the kitchen to make it easier to collect recycle-ables

We love this house and have rented it for several years now. Each year the owner continues to improve on this already great house. Great location, great neighborhood- with access to the community pool. House is always clean and in good repair- and if anything does go wrong there is a process in place to get is fixed.

Great rental!

I almost hate to give this place a great review because so many people will want to take advantage of it. We have rented many homes on OIB and this was the best. Convenient, clean, kitchen is well stocked, very comfortable furnishings and climate control. Having beach toys available a great plus also- the wagon came in handy as well as the gear for infants/toddlers/children. Our group is multi generational and it was enjoyed by us all.

Ocean Isle Getaway

Great house - very clean. Love that each generous bedroom has a bath! Kitchen is fully equipped and living areas are bright and comfortable. Outside shower is great and community pool is very nice. We will definietly consider this home again. Mary (homeowner) was very helpful with all my questions, and the home can accommodate small children. The photos accurately depicted the home, and we were very pleased with our stay.

A wonderful vacation home for 13 people

Very clean. Any item you could want for the home was there. We loved the tortuga decor. The kids enjoyed looking for them throughout the house. Pool was nice! Beds were comfortable. The kitchen worked well for several “cooks” at one time. Spacious Absolutely loved the decks. We spent a lot of time out there.

Great family fun1

This house was a perfect fit for our family of 11: 6 adults and five kids ages 15, 15, 14, 12, and 10. The perfect fit of beds and bathrooms. We have stayed at many resorts, etc., but we have never found a house so well stocked with everything we would need for a beach vacation. The beach was just a 3-4 block walk away. The beach was not overcrowded, and the waves were perfect for our family enjoyment. The whole house was very comfortable. Kudos to the owners.

Family Beach Vacation 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed this clean and kid friendly beach house! It was everything it said it was and what most of the other reviews had said about it. We all fit comfortably. It was a short walk to the beach. The pool was a short walk too and an a refreshing alternative to salt water. It was the most stocked beach house kitchen I had ever worked in, even the knives were sharp! The beds were all comfortable! The wrap around deck and deck furniture was comfortable outdoor space. We would definitely rent this one again!!

Family Fun!

This is such a great beach house. Extremely well equipped kitchen makes the beach week fun- especially if you like to cook in. If you are traveling with babies and/or young children there is already fun things and necessary equipment there that you do not have to drag to the beach with you. House is extremely comfortable from temperature control to beds. Around the block from the community pool and a block from the beach- perfect! We are already looking at dates for next year. Everything we needed!

Prior to booking, Mary called me to discuss all the questions I had. She was very helpful. The house turned out to be wonderful for our family. Every bedroom had its own bathroom & TV, so we weren't tripping on each other. Please know that there is only one bathtub in the house if you have small children that need a tub. There is even a nice outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach in addition to a hose to rinse off those sandy feet. We had 4 adults & 5 kids and everyone had enough space. We spent the bulk of our time on the beautiful beach and the nights chatting on the house's big deck under the stars. What a fabulous vacation!

Favorite Beach rental

We have been coming to OIB for over 30 years and usually get a different house. Not anymore. This house is by far our favorite. This was our 2nd time renting this house and will not be our last. The owners are easy to deal with, and it is evident they take great pride in their house. The house is well stocked with cookware, dishes, appliances, and there is a nice stash of beach toys. The use of the wagon is wonderful when lugging chairs and umbrellas to the beach. Even Phyllis (the cleaning company manager) stopped by to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Hope to return to Mythreesuns next time we are vacationing in Ocean Isle. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy a part of paradise!
