Spectacular views
We were awed by the overall beauty of this spot in the world. We were there with my son, daughter in law and 2 grandsons..8 and 10. The children loved it! Endless hide and seek with endless places to hide! My son and wife also enjoyed it immensely. They took tours to Capri, Positano, and Pompeii..on that tour we joined them, having seen all other places in the past, but Pompeii Iis worth seeing over and over again. We were not prepared for the extra cab ride costs. My husband and I..75 and 80 years old ..were not capable of the hundreds of stairs to get anywhere so were paying 40.00 euros to get to the closest restaurant that is just 300 steps up the hill. We had all we could do to manage the 57 stairs to get to and from the property so wound up trapped and spending many hundreds of dollars for taxi service. It was beautiful, I am so glad I saw it, but will not go back because of the difficulties. The property itself waS clean, lovely, but we had trouble using the stove and microwave, so spent a hungry day as we had no matches to light the stove and microwave was a mystery. Also, no staples..salt sugar, etc provided so come prepared as the grocery store is 300 steps up and back down carrying bags..or a 40 euro cab ride. Do not rent a car and plan to drive as driving is treacherous for those with no experience in the area. Our stay was made lovely by my son and daughter in law who hoofed it to get provisions for us. Without them I can't imagine how trapped we would have been! This is " No Country for Old Men"..or women. Still the experience is priceless

Great place to explore the Amalfi coast
We had a really great time in Furore. The apartment is well located in a small town called Furore. There's a really nice restaurant/breakfast place down the stairs and a supermarket 20 minutes away. A car is recommended.

Super Aussicht

Beautiful Amalfi view
The place is excellent! Great location with a wonderful restaurant in close proximity. The grocery store is a short drive and has everything you require. Morning sunrises and evening sunsets are gorgeous. Our host Pasquale and his wife Giovanna are easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house for a holiday!
Great views of the coastline, wonderful host who met our driver when we couldn't find the house and gave us food suggestions! House was as described, loved the garden with the clementine tree and lounge chairs and a quiet location on the coast. I want to return!

Some GREAT, some not-so-much.
The owner was wonderful! He helped us up the 59 stairs to get to the house by hefting my 50 pound suitcase on to his shoulder and hiking all the way up without stopping! I was impressed. Then toward the end of the stay we decided to forgo Napoli and stay two days longer. Called the owner who was happy to accommodate us. Very nice kitchen which we used several times. It was stocked with basics; dishes, pots & pans, flat ware, salt, pepper, garlic, etc. however really could have use one sharp knife and a couple of ice trays. There was a very handy clothes washing machine but no dryer. We had to hang clothes to dry on a drying rack so they all turned out crunchy, but clean. The restaurant right below our house was great! The family who runs were really wonderful. They made gnocchi special for my husband because he told them it was his families specialty. Very sweet people. Also we had a designated parking space for our rental car which was wonderful! Parking is hard to come by in the area. On the down side, there was major construction going on across the road from us and down below our house. Wish we had been informed. The cranes obstructed the fantastic view from the very sweet balcony and the noise was bothersome. Also the dogs and rooster in the area were pretty noisy. The beds were brick hard and the pillows were like sand bags. We could not get the TV to work at all. The whole house was in need of a lot of repair with plaster and paint pealing off the walls in several places. The showers are super tiny. My husband is a good size man but not obese and he could not turn around in either one of them. Of course when renting a private house you are not going to find perfect and the price was right. Obviously it was not so bad that we didn't want to stay the extra two days. LOVE THE AREA! Truly this was the best vacation EVER!

Very scenic place with great management
This is a great villa with a great terrace overlooking the sea. As mentioned, it's plenty of stairs to reach the villa (as is the case all over Amalfi Coast). We counted about 50 stairs but it's not too challenging if you're in ok condition and the view is worth it. The couch and beds could be a little more comfortable but to be fair, we stay in Italy quite often and this seems to be the norm everywhere, every time in rental places. This is a rural area so there will be rural sounds such as a very near rooster who was proudly crowing every morning as early as 5am and there is a dog close who is barking a LOT. We were treated very well by the property manager who has perfect English and a great professional personality. We very much recommend this place! There are so many great things to see and do from here.

Beautiful view but lacking a few things
This place has a great view and is overall a nice place to stay. The restaurants nearby are good places to eat and location is good. A few things to consider; there is a flight of steps (around 50) that needs to be considered when packing to keep from needing to haul large bags up, the reserved parking spot is very difficult to use unless you have a fiat or something very small (this type of car is needed for driving the coast also), the beds are very firm, the shower is very small, and the coffee maker didn't work well when we were there. Many of these things are normal for Italy, but just need to be aware of them in case your physical needs don't allow you to enjoy this place.

Nice view in Furore, and with parking!
We had a nice stay in Furore (this house is not really in Amalfi). There is a wonderful terrace where we had our Antipastos in the evening, with a magnificent view. The house has also a parking space, which is of great value during the summer time in the Amalfi coast.

Peaceful Oasis on the Amalfi Coast
We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday House. The house is located in Furore in a residential neighborhood in a quiet and soothing location. Furore is a peaceful Amalfi town and is great for relaxation and contemplation. It is not for those looking for shopping and nightlife. For us, the Holiday House and Furore is just what we were looking for. The House itself is accessed by steps (probably 35 steps or so) so the property is not good for those with walking problems. The owner, Pasquale and his wife, Giovanna, helped us haul our luggage up the steps upon our arrival and were helpful getting us settled and acclimated to the Amalfi Coast. Pasquale helped us hire a driver, Rosario, to tour the coast.Rosario was a terrific guide and driver. I highly recommend a driver or bus service to tour the coast as the Amalfi road is treacherous. Fortunately, you do not have to navigate the Amalfi road to reach the Holiday House. The most brilliant feature of the house is the superb porch and yard. The view of the ocean and coast is spectacular and serene. We dined-in for dinner twice to enjoy the view and solitude. The house itself is ideal for a family of four or a couple. I think it would be a bit cramped for two couples as the kitchen is the only common space. That said, both bedrooms were of ample size and there were two full bathrooms that were modern and clean. There is an interesting walking path near the house and a local restraurant that served home cooked Italy an fare. The parking space was appreciated as parking on the Amalfi Coast is a rare commodity. The house is not convenient to the Furore Beach - it is a thousand steps down and the beach itself is small and gravelly so I wouldn't recommend the house to those looking for a beach holiday Also, there is no parking near the beach. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to rent again if we are fortunate enough to return to the Amalfi Coast. Thanks Pasquale and Giovanna! Stuart

Incomparable Amalfi Coast View!!
We just ended a wonderful 5-night stay at the Holiday House, and we left only because we had airplane tickets home the next day! This large, clean apartment was the perfect spot for doing nothing at all, or for using as a home base for exploring the area. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures, with the added bonus of quiet nights and peaceful days. Please note that there seem to be reviews for more than one property on this listing; ours is for the Holiday House pictured (with the beautiful old rose tree). I mention this because you really do need a car at this location. It's nearly two kilometers downhill from the Furore bus stop and market, making walking impractical, if not impossible. With that being said, a wonderful parking spot is included with the house, and we simply drove up the hill and parked near the market whenever we wanted to catch the bus to Amalfi or just to shop for groceries. The Furore market had wonderful fresh local produce and enough meat, cheese and pasta for cooking excellent meals and enjoying them on the deck, which I highly recommend. The entire Amalfi coast area is magical and worth exploring, but for us, the very best times were spent on our deck and terrace at Holiday House with a glass of wine, a plate of fresh tomato bruschetta, and one of the best views in the world!

Lovely location. Beautiful view.
This is a wonderful location to explore the Amalfi Coast. The property (L'Incanto) was clean. The furniture is uncomfortable and cheap since it is Ikea and the sofas are futons. The bathrooms were great. Kitchen could be better equippped. Local store was very convenient. Important to have a parking spot on this coast and L'Incanto had a great one. The spa down below was closed. Most people travelling today do not lug huge travel guides. They keep travel information on a computer. There was no internet here which made our information inaccessible. The owner has an internet cafe. He should know that internet access is important to most travelers today. Without it we were unable to contact the owner of our next stop and it really messed up our arrival in Rome.

ILNido-A real gem!!!
WE stayed here for a week and were very pleased with this one bedroom villa. It was very clean, updated and had a beautiful view from both the large terrace and interior rooms. We ate dinner almost every night at the Bacco Hotel down the street (short 5 minute walk). The food there was excellent and very reasonable with a great patio ocean view. Furore is remote but only a 25 minute bus drive to Amalfi and the bus stops just past the villa and also at the Bacco where you can buy your bus tickets. Hosts Giovanna and Pasquale were most helpful and will provide local information. If you do not have a car we highly recommend letting Pasquale arrange transportation to and from Naples. It will be less stressul, safer and will save you lots of time. It is well worth the extra money! All in all, a wonderful stay in a most beautiful place. Thanks for having us!!! Ed & Andra

Amazing home on the Amalfi Coast!
We spent 5 nights at lovely L'Incanto, part of a 12 night visit to Italy. Honestly, I could have spent the whole 12 nights here and been very happy... The home is beautiful, very spacious with a huge great room (kitchen / living room). We are a family of 4 -- two parents and two teenagers - and there was always plenty of space. The washer / dryer was very helpful as well. We spent a ton of time on the deck, which has the most amazing view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It made for a very relaxing time, especially compared to Italy's busy cities. We had a car, and given the parking situation on the Amalfi Coast, I can tell you the importance of the reserved parking. From L'Incanto, we explored Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno, and of course, Amalfi, where we stopped numerous times for groceries and other shopping. The little market in Furore was also very helpful. The food is so amazing in this region, if you at all enjoy cooking, the ingredients you have access to are the freshest and most flavorful you will find anywhere. I think they can feed all of Italy from here. Speaking of food, one of our most memorable meals out was at Serafina, an Agriturismo, which is run by Dominic, his wife, and two daughters. Everything you eat there was grown / processed there, including the wine and olive oil. An experience you'd be hard pressed to match. Another great meal was in Amalfi at La Taverna di Masaniello -- wonderfully prepared Italian food, like my Noni used to make. Also well worth it is the hike down to the Fiordo (Fjord). About 1300 steps down from the house, but well worth the trip there and back. The beach and swimming were fantastic, and the scenery was gorgeous. After our trip, we evaluated each stop we had made, and our family's favorite, hands down, was the time we had spent at L'Incanto. The cities were nice in their own right, but all of us enjoyed the peace and relaxation of the Amalfi Coast, and the beautiful deck of L'Incanto, overlooking the sea. Pascuale and Giovanna were very helpful as well. You will not be disappointed in staying here.

Great place, minor glitches
The setting and view from this L'Incanto are simply spectacular. One could spend his entire stay just sitting on the deck. The apartment is very clean and is spacious by European standards. The kitchen was very well equipped. There is a small grocery store with a very friendly owner/manager that has virtually anything you would need. By Amalfi Coast standards this apartment is proximate to all points, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento, etc. The owners Pasquale and Giovanna are also eager to provide good service. A few minor glitches: ran out of dishwashing soap and bathroom soap and there was no laundry detergent. The shower head in one bathroom leaked (which is not a problem if you favor baths). There was only one key so coordination is required if folks want to do different things. Also, if internet access is important that will be an issue. We were told there was WiFi, but we given several different passwords, none of which worked. With those caveats I would highly recommend this apartment, as well as Restaurant Serafina down the road.

Romantic Getaway
We had a challenge driving to L'Incanto in Furore from Pompei. We met Pasquale in Agerola and he escorted us to the property. The apartment was better than the pictures. The view from the ample size terrace was amazing! The apartment is large, very very clean, adequately furnished with plenty of linens.Dedicated parking was convenient. The kitchen was stocked and condiments provided. Cons: sparse hot water in the shower and no internet wi-fi. The center of Furore (market, ATM, bar/cafe, SITA stop) all within walking distance and people were very friendly and nice. Serafina restaurant, a unique and great experience, also within walking distance. Driving to other areas (Positano and Amalfi) was challenging for us. The apartment itself was very comfortable and enjoyable!

Beautiful views at 'Il Nido'
Thank you thank you Pasquale and Giovanna. We stayed at Il Nido for 4 nights and the apartment exceeded all expectations. We met up with Pasquale and he led us to our apartment and when arrived we couldn't believe what we were seeing. As other reviews will state, the pictures do not do it justice. The terrace was huge and served up one of the most unbelievable views I have ever seen. The apartment was huge, comfortable and offered up views from the kitchen and bedroom as well. Pasquale had numerous tips of where to go for groceries and things to see. We had a rental car so the apartment proved central to everything we wanted to see. Amalfi was a short drive away and in the other direction the beautiful drive took us to Positano and Sorrento. As far as the essentials in the apartment, there was a big kitchen, king size bed and a washing machine that was excellent as we had 2 weeks of dirty clothes to contend with. One of the little things that really mattered was including all the 'hidden fees' that most apartments to rent will charge. Parking, final cleaning and administration fees were all included in the price which was reasonable to say the least. A real breath of fresh air and I really can't recommend this apartment enough. Thanks again.

Beautiful covered patio and spectacular view .. Blissfully quiet!! .. just birds (and cats) and occasional residents making their way down the stone steps beside the apartment. The 50 stone steps were challenging with luggage .. but otherwise this place is paradise.. Clean and comfortable .. and Giovanna will provide an ample welcome basket (for a small fee) .. Useful cos you are a little removed from regular amenities. Small grocery store, post office, coffee shop within walking distance .. otherwise bus trips along twisty mountaintop roads! You have to go to Amalfi (half-hour) to connect to most destinations. No such thing as a boring bus-ride in this part of the country! We loved this place. Don't miss the walk down the road to the left of the steps .. toward the agritourismo restaurant. Giovanna and her family speak English and run an internet cafe about 20 mins away by bus .. Very helpful. FYI> we were there in March. It was very warm during the day but chilly at night. the place offers some heat. no bath.
