My wife and I loved the house and location! We were just across the street from the water and we really enjoyed walking the neighborhood with our dogs. It was beautiful, especially the sunsets!We have always loved Egg Harbor and the house was just a short drive to everything in Egg Harbor. It was great!

We all loved the cottage and the location location location.Since I spend time in Door County and rent often, I would recommend three things: porch pillows, new towels, and new pots and pans ( new faucets and liquid soap wouldn't hurt either). The cottage is dated yet lovely and the location is perfect. We loved our stay.

Cozy, great location

This property was very clean and neat. Easy to find restaurants, activities, and hiking near by. We enjoyed our stay. Probably too small for more than 4 people.

Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views of the bay. Beautiful large front window in the main room that was so clean it makes you wonder if it's even there.The space itself is on the rustic side. Very few outlets, and placed in weird spots, so if you have essential electronics, bring power strips and/ or extension cords. Bedrooms too have minimal outlets. Kitchen equipment is old but works, and while there are two bottle openers, there are no scissors, limited number of forks. Bring plastic forks, or plan on doing dishes frequently.There were two of us and the dogs, and there was plenty of space. 4 or 6 people would feel pretty crowded if hanging out for long periods of time in the house.The house is in a great location, though. We explored the whole peninsula, never felt too far away from anything. It was a decent budget option for us.

Quiet, Dog Friendly Stay

Exactly what we were looking for. Our dog loved being able to join us and sit on the screened in patio. House's location was perfect. Neighborhood was quiet and views of the bay were lovely.

Egg Harbor Getaway

The cabin was older but offered plenty of room for our group! Beds were comfortable. Cabin smelled a bit musty, and bathrooms could use some updating, but we enjoyed our stay. You can cross the street to enjoy beautiful sunsets right by the water, and we loved walking in the lovely neighborhood.

Sweet piece of history

Great location, we could see the bay from the window. Bring some fans as the air conditioner had a hard time keeping up, but with the bay being so close I cooled off fast in the night. Would rent it again.

The view from the front porch made the stay! And walking our small dog around the neighborhood and seeing the views from all the access roads. We were close to everything we wanted to do but away from any crowds. Easy access to Egg Harbor.The cottage had everything we needed. There was a musty smell inside. A little too cool to open doors and windows to air it out. Upgrading the furniture would make the stay much more enjoyable but overall we were happy with the stay.

Nostalgic bungalow in a charming neighborhood

We very much enjoyed our stay at Birchmont. The home was clean and comfortable. We loved being in a neighborhood setting tucked away from the busy-ness of the tourist areas yet only a short drive to get to any activity. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed beautiful views of the bay and sunsets while sitting in the yard. The yard is surrounded by a charming short stone wall that worked perfectly to allow our small pups the freedom to safely play the yard. Super fun weekend all around.

Great location

We love Door County and have been there many times. The location of the cottage is great. Beautiful views of the water, and the neighborhood is quiet. The cottage it's self is very old, and in need of updates. It was very clean though, considering the hard iron water and musty smell. For the cost of the rental, we expected a little bit more. Overall, everything was in working order, and we had a great time. Thanks!
