It's the perfect little cabin for a small family like us or for a couple. It was close enough to town but still far enough to where you didn't hear all the hussle and bussle. We will be back!!
The Misty Mornings cabin was the perfect size for us (family of 3 plus our dog). Check in was a breeze and the accommodation had everything we needed. It is centrally located for easy access to historic Sevierville, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. I took away one star for overall rating and cleanliness because the couch was ripped and smelled a bit from use. Some of the blankets and pillows had a similar smell. There was also a broken chair on the porch which left it unusable. Otherwise it was a lovely little place to stay.
Property could do with a bit of facelift. The interior needed a bit more attention to cleaning. Whilst it wasn't dirty, things like a months worth of dust on top of the fridge need attention especially as there is a cleaning fee. Photo's are slightly deceptive as the property is smaller than it looks in the photos. Overall, it was good enough as we were out all day, and we basically just slept there.
VRBO cabin Misty Morning
Our stay was Feb 6-9, 2023.
We were very disappointed with this cabin. Let me start by saying that we have been visiting the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area since 1966 at least once a year and sometimes twice a year. We love the area. However, this cabin was not up to par. This cabin needs a lot of attention. Here are a few of item we noted:
1. The linen on the bed was very old/thin and did not fit the bed properly. Needs updating.
2. There was no Kleenex in the bathrooms.
3. No place to put luggage and in fact the closet didnât have hangers. We had to use the kitchen table to open our luggage.
4. Shower handle was not working properly. It was either hot or cold. You could not make it warm. Also, one of the handles is mounted/installed upside down.
5. The upstairs bathroom sink stopper did not work. It is always in the âclosedâ position and must be opened manually and held open to drain.
6. The toilet seat in downstairs bath is broken loose.
7. There were shingles missing on the roof.
8. Some of the blinds were broken.
9. The porch needs restraining and some of the spindles are broken.
10. The beam across the left side has termite/or rot damage as well as the porch bottom rail.
11. Living room furniture is worn and not comfortable.
12. The ceiling light in the living area only comes on if the 2-3 switches that operate it just happen to be in certain positions. Obviously, they are not wired correctly. An electrician
Misty Mornings was a cozy place to settle in for a few days while visiting the smoky mountains! My husband and I (and our two small pups) enjoyed our recent stay. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and in a great location to get to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again!
We enjoy the property as this is the second time that we have stayed at this cabin. We do believe that there is some upkeep that could be done on the porch and the rocking chairs need replaced. They are not comfortable and do not rock well. Overall, like stated, we do enjoy the cabin and the area overall.
Overall the cabin was as expected. Exactly as the pictures shown. I wish it was a little bigger in size and a little closer to the attractions. The cabins were closer together than I imagined. The shower didnât work in the loft. Never saw any bears, which was a plus! There wasnât enough toiletries provided for a week stay. Overall a nice stay!
This cabin smelled clean at first. Upon further looking there where cobwebs and spiders EVERYWHERE. The porch couldnât be used do the over grown tree obstructing our view along with the chairs being covered in spiders and cobwebs. We had to purchase our own Swiffer and duster to be able to get around. Whatever you do donât look under the furniture or behind beds bc they are dirty. The cabin was only surface cleaned at that.
Property was conveniently located close to Pigeon Forge. Plenty of space for 2-4 people. Any more than that would be cramped. The downstairs bed could have been a little more comfortable. But all in all it was a pretty good stay.
This is a nice Cabin, but the sofas need replaced they fabric, are very dirty and have a peculiar odor. I would not sit on them without covering them up with a blanket, and the front porch needs repairs there is some rotted wood on them other than that everything else was good.
Great location! Amazing views! Wonderful place to recharge after a day of hiking, shopping or walking around Dollywood! The kids loved the game room and we loved coffee on the porch with a view! Would definitely stay again!
It was a wonderful area and the cabin was very quaintâŠ. exactly what I had hoped for. The sheets on the loft bed were cheap, slept hot and did not fit the bed properly⊠not a big deal, just a little annoying. I am a very generous tipper. However upon entering the cabin the first thing youâre greeted with is a tip envelope for cleaning staff. I feel the cleaning fee is on the high side so they are well compensated unless the rental service takes a portion of it. I feel that is something that should be worked out internally and guests should not be solicited upon arrival. Other than those minor issues it was very comfortable, clean, I felt safe and the location was far enough out yet still close enough to get to every where I needed to be.
Loved the location. Cabin was the perfect size for my family of 3. Could definitely hold 4 if needed. Clean and beautiful. Kitchen had all the tools needed. Hot was clean and VERY refreshing, we used it everyday. First cabin we all left saying we would WANT to stay here again!
This property was as advertised online. Reviews were accurate. Communication was easy and appropriate for the stay through email and texting. Property was VERY clean and amenities were as we expected. Would definitely book with this property manager again.
