Récompensé du "Joyau caché du Dorset 2016" par Aspire Magazine, Nestleton est une belle maisonnette de trois chambres doubles occupant les deux étages supérieurs d'une maison victorienne. Elle offre une vue sur la mer, un balcon, une cheminée et un jardin. Le soleil ruisseaux sur le balcon et façade de la maison le matin, parfait pour un petit déjeuner al fresco, et des ruisseaux dans le dos de la propriété dans la soirée. La maisonnette a sa propre entrée et est accessible via un escalier de côté. Un grand soin et l'attention a été accordée à l'ameublement de la maisonnette dans un beau style romantique français et il est seulement une promenade de 5 minutes en ville Swanage avec ses nombreux cafés et restaurants, jetée victorienne restaurée, train à vapeur et longue plage de sable - idéal pour les enfants. Il est également un endroit idéal pour les amateurs de sports nautiques, et dispose d'une école de plongée de la jetée. Durlston parc du pays et le château est à seulement 15 minutes à pied et l'emplacement de la propriété sera donc convenir aussi les marcheurs qui souhaitent explorer la côte jurassique et cette région d'une beauté naturelle exceptionnelle. Corfe Castle, Studland, Poole Harbour, île de Brownsea et Blue Pool pour ne nommer que quelques-uns, sont tous à proximité de Swanage. Les enfants et les animaux domestiques sont les bienvenus!

This property has a lovely style and is well equipped. Sitting on the balcony with the beautiful sea views was a highlight. The location was a absolutely ideal, being only a 5minute walk into town and to the beach. We had a fantastic stay in this lovely property. Would definitely book again.

Winter stay in Swansea

The location was excellent. The property itself was beautifully decorated but with a several maintenance issues that arose it seemed it was more geared for summer rentals. Saying that we had a lovely stay with ample walks nearby and great pubs and restaurants.

We had a lovely Christmas here, the apartment is really comfortable and well equipped and had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s really well placed for all the sights of Swanage and the local area.

Wonderful accommodation in a fantastic location

We stayed here as a group of children and adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed the time and wished we could stay longer. The maisonette is spacious and beautifully decorated. It is a very short walk to shops and the beach. A perfect base for our family holiday.

Half term get away

We wanted a place to stay within walking distance of the beach & town, Nestleton was perfect. Amazing place, beautifully decorated and so close to everything, we never even needed the car! Excellent smart tv & Wi-Fi and heating and hot water was always available. We would definitely book again. Thank you Moira

Close to town yet quiet

A nice maisonette with a small balcony off the lounge diner with sea view to the left. We had excellent communication with the owner. As we were only there for 4 nights we ate out so didn’t use the cooker just the microwave. Good size fridge freezer and plenty of crockery and cutlery. A few minutes walk into town and the quay area. We always managed to get parked on the street not far away but think it would be more difficult in school holidays. The house was comfortable with good white bedding. The garden are was very overgrown by the path which was a nuisance when the plants were wet.

Lovely House, great Location

A really nicely presented house, we loved the balcony and sitting out in the morning. Just a 200m to the town which had everything we needed and lots of things locally to entertain. Loads of extras like games, video games and TV channels. I'd highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Swanage

Despite Storm Dennis trying to put a dampener on our long weekend, we had a great trip. And this property was a huge reason why. It is extremely well decorated and looked after. After braving the elements outside for a while, it was so nice to come back to this cosy place. We traveled with our 3 daughters (11,9,8) and small dog. The kids loved the games in the house and the dog felt right at home. Moira was super nice and helpful on our email exchanges. The house is close to a number of pubs and restaurants but also has a great kitchen if staying in. All around great experience.

Fabulous property, with fabulous views and a very friendly owner.

Searching through Vrbo for a last minute family holiday in Dorset we chanced upon this property and knew instantly this is where we wanted to stay. Moira was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the booking process and once arrived we knew we had made a great choice. With a "shabby chic " look the property is full of character and is extremely welcoming. Each room was a delight but the balcony topped it off. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy breakfast outside with great views to the sea, along with watching some very bad drivers try to reverse park on a steep hill! (The parking proved to be no trouble - we were lucky to have a place outside for the whole duration of our stay). Staying in April, it did go cold at night, but the heating is quick and efficient and soon warmed up - we had no need to use the fire but I would imagine that would be so cosy in the winter. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen, except for a lack of tea spoons, but that is hardly a problem! The beds were all very comfortable. We thought the bed in the Master was a memory foam bed, until we realized at the end when stripping the beds that it was actually just a lump of foam - it was so comfy I might just do that at home when mine needs replacing! Now back home, we are already planning on booking a return. Sooner the better I hope.

Ahh Elliot, thank you so much for such a lovely review, I really appreciate it, and so glad you liked the house. I shall get on to getting some more tea spoons, they seem to vanish to the tea spoon planet every now and then! Just reaffirming that the mattress in the master bedroom is a genuine, firm Tempur mattress. It has different layers of foam making it very comfy. We have has to slice a bit of the side as it is French vintage bed, which is not quite the same size as a standard King! Surprise we managed to rent this property as at the last minute our accommodation that was booked was cancelled at the last minute. Found it very convenient for the town. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Would book again

shabby chic !

We all enjoyed staying here...loved all the French shabby chic interiors....people with limited mobility may have difficulty with steps and stairs in the property....and there is a steep hill to climb,but that was ok with us.It was very well equipped and the sea views were lovely.The town of Swanage and its surroundings is very interesting..

Smashing Place to Stay!

Communication from the owner before you arrive is great, you know exactly what to expect & where to locate all the important things cutting down potential stress. The location is good, really close to the town & all it's amenities, a short walk to most places but far enough away from any hussle & bussle. The only down side is the lack of parking but the owner gives handy tips on where to park before you arrive. Inside the property is beautiful with high spec throughout, obviously well loved & maintained by it's custodians it is a lovely place to stay. We were sad to leave.

What a great property!

We had a wonderful stay in this very centrally located property. It really was home from home with everything we needed for our week's holiday. We loved the style and decor and the good bed linens and towels. No complaints and a very warm welcome from the owner - wine, milk and chocolates!

Living and working in London has its benefits, but we have enjoyed nothing more than escaping to Dorset for weekends and holidays for the last 30 years. As keen camper vaners we have spent many weeks travelling around the Purbeck area enjoying its amazing natural beauty. Our Dorset adventures include becoming British Sub-Aqua qualified scuba divers starting in Swanage diving school, water skiing, surfing, horse riding on the beach, and a boat kept at Shell Bay Marina.
Our children were brought up enjoying the sea air, boating around the Islands, visiting Brownsea Island and having mud fights!
Dorset never loses its charm and as soon as we approach the chain ferry we are filled with excitement and a sense of peace. There is then nothing better than sitting on the beach watching the sun set over Brownsea Island-bliss!.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

When our camper van finally came to its last days, sadly it was crushed!
We therefore decided it was time to enact that dream of buying a place in Swanage. Unbelievably this maisonette was for sale-unbelievably because I had been walking past Nestleton for 15 years saying "I'm going to live there one day." I still have to pinch myself that it's true.
Unfortunately the apartment was in a very neglected state-So Brian being a builder & my hobby being interior design we set about restoring it. It has been a task but we got there, although there are always more dreams of improvements! We never tire of this wonderful part of England and are amazed that we still find new areas to explore-It well deserves the title of area of outstanding natural beauty. When boating around the Islands on a sunny day in Poole Harbour, you really could be in Greece!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Locally nicknamed the 'Dolls House' due to its unique, pretty architecture and balcony, Nestleton is often photographed by passersby, especially when the clematis is in glorious full pastel pink bloom.

The maisonette is so conveniently placed to stroll into town, laze, play or enjoy water sports on the beach, or to walk to Ballard Downs and Durlston Country Park, with its castle, cafe and panoramic views. If you're lucky you may even spot a dolphin there!

Whatever time of the year, there is always something to do and see in Swanage and the surrounding area. The changing seasons emphasise the natural beauty of this area.

We love waking up in the morning to the sea view, and on a clear sunny day looking across to the Isle of Wight, followed by breakfast on the balcony.

We hope you love it as much as we do!
