Les maisons de vacances Byre at Back Borland. Situé dans l'emplacement fantastique du parc national Trossachs, ces transformations magnifiques rénovées datant du XVIIIe siècle, accessibles par une piste rugueuse, se trouvent dans un endroit paisible offrant des vues à couper le souffle sur Ben Lomond et les collines de Menteith. Gartmore est le cadre idéal pour ceux qui aiment les activités de plein air, avec des centaines de kilomètres de pistes forestières facilement accessibles. Retour Borland a deux grands champs, les deux avec un flux qui les parcourt, dans lequel les invités sont invités à prendre des enfants et / ou des chiens. La piscine «sans fin» offre des conditions de baignade optimales pour un nageur unique et le courant peut être adapté à un niveau de difficulté préféré. Même sans le courant, il fait encore une piscine de taille aimable dans laquelle les enfants peuvent nager et s'amuser.

Tolle Auszeit auf dem Land

Wir hatten mit 2 Familien (4 Kindern) eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft. Die Kinder waren natürlich besonders begeistert von den beiden Pools. Den Erwachsenen hat am besten gefallen, dass man zu Fuß in das wunderschöne Örtchen mit dem community-owned Pub gehen konnte, wo wir zwei tolle Abend hatten. Kontaktpersonen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Ein wenig schade ist, dass es draußen keine Sitzgelegenheit gibt. Insgesamt aber alles top!

The Byre Farm Cottage

The Cottage served as a location to celebrate our son's 21st Birthday and provided everything we were looking for, access to nature, a peaceful environment and a homely cottage that sufficiently catered for all our needs. We especially enjoyed the space of the rooms, the comforting wood burner and accessibility of the hot tub. As with other reviewers, the access road can be a challenge without the right vehicle - but we were thankful for Rosie and Dave's generous help and support having received a hire car that wasn't quite fit for purpose :-)

Fantastic property in beautiful surroundings

Group of 7 adults for gravel biking long weekend. The Byre was perfect - lots of space, cosy fire, loved the conservatory where we could all hang out on the sofas. Kitchen well equipped. Cycling around nearby Aberfoyle is sublime.

Great place

Property was lovely, very clean and spacious, hot tub and swimming pool were nice extras and beds were comfortable. Good size kitchen and living space for 6 adults in our group but could have had a couple more people no problem.

Happy overall, really good time with use of hot tub and endless pool, plenty of room in the house for 4 adults and a 3 year old, access road was okay if you took your time, plenty to do nearby if you wanted to visit surrounding area

Perfect spot to switch off

Got a lovely welcome from Rosie and Dave with a bottle of fizz and some delicious homemade flapjack. The house was perfect for what needed and made full use of the pool and hot tub. Only thing that I felt was missing was a hair dryer and some tongs for the kitchen. Will recommend to friends and may come back in the future.

Birthday celebrations at The Byre

We enjoyed a wonderful family week of birthday celebrations at The Byre. Rosie and Dave were the perfect hosts making sure we had everything we needed. In addition, it was a lovely surprise to receive homemade flapjacks and a bottle of prosecco on arrival. The location is so picturesque and peaceful and the accommodation was homely and ideal for 3 generations. Everyone (from age 14 to 80!) loved using the hot tub and pool everyday. This is a great location for exploring the stunning Trossachs. We will be back!

Best House I / we ever had!!

Alles war perfekt, die Aussicht, die Ruhe, die Zimmer, die Betten, die Sauberkeit, das Schwimmbad und der whirlpool. Besonders hervorheben will ich die gastfreundschaft der Vermieter die sehr schnell auf unsere Anfragen geantwortet haben und uns sogar mal mit Spagetti aushalfen. Vielen Dank nochmal. Das Haus ist nur zu empfehlen. Die Zufahrt ist wie beschrieben etwas holprig aber bei langsamer Fahrt gut zu befahren. Everything was perfect, the view, the peace, the rooms, the beds, the cleanliness, the swimming pool and the whirlpool. I would particularly like to emphasize the hospitality of the landlords, who responded very quickly to our inquiries and even helped us out with spaghetti. Thank you again. The house can only be recommended. As described, the access road is a bit bumpy but easy to navigate when driving slowly.

Nice relaxing weekend.

Very quiet and peaceful. Rosie offered us warm baking in our arrival which was very nice. Short journey to local facilities but far enough away to feel secluded. The road to the property from the main road is very bumpy though,but we were told about it before arrival.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus in wunderbarer Umgebung

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in dem Ferienhaus südlich der kleinen Ortschaft Gartmore. Hat man erstmal die etwas rumpelige Anfahrt geschafft, erwartet einen ein gemütliches, liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit vier Schlaf- und drei Badezimmern, die zwar alle nicht sonderlich geräumig, aber mehr als nur zweckmäßig sind, sowie mit einem sensationell riesigen Ess-, Koch- und Wohnbereich. Besonderer Höhepunkt sind aber ein (dank Gegenströmungsanlage) "endloser" Swimmingpool und ein "Blubber"-Whirpool im Freien mit Blick auf die wunderschöne schottische Landschaft. Beide Pools muss man sich zwar mit dem anderen Ferienhaus teilen, was bei uns aber völlig problemlos geklappt hat. Die Gastgeberin Rosie ist unfassbar nett und herzlich. Ausflugsziele gibt es in der Umgebung in Hülle und Fülle - und zur Not sind Glasgow und Edinburgh auch nahe. Eine gute Einkaufsmöglichkeit gibt es im benachbarten Aberfoyle (etwa 15 Minuten mit dem Auto) und einen sehr guten Pub - sowie einem tollen Spielplatz - in Gartmore (etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto oder 30 Minuten zu Fuß). Am allerschönsten waren aber der gemütliche Tagesausklang im Whirpool, die Spaziergänge in der wunderschönen Natur und die gemeinsamen Abende im riesigen Hauptbereich dieses großartigen Ferienhauses.

Beautiful, cozy, scenic

Feels very secluded, but still in easy driving distance to great hiking, historic sites, Loch Lomond. Very quiet. Kids loved the pool. You will want to rent a car for sure, and they aren’t kidding about the access road, you’ll want a sturdy one. Cottage very well equipped with kitchen supplies and dishes. Very cozy sunroom. Hosts are friendly and knowledgable about the area.

Spring holiday

A warm welcome to a very warm property. Everything was just as we expected, but we did find the approach track difficult and a deterrent to going in and out more than once a day. Anyone with a particularly low car would have real problems. We were warned about it but did not realise just how bad it is! The open space living/dining area was bright and there was plenty of room for 8 people. The highlight for the young ones was the pool which was used at least twice a day, and the hot tub was lovely, Who'd have thought sitting out in the early April evening would be so comfortable and relaxing? It would be good to remind people to bring flip-flops or crocks to walk from the house. We drove to get fish suppers from Aberfoyle, but the outlet was closed - best to check in advance. The Black Bull is lovely. Thanks to the hosts for a really enjoyable family break.

A good place to visit the trossachs

We had a wonderful stay in the Byre cottage. It was a cosy cottage with a spacious living area. My daughter loved the landing with rocking chair! There were 4 bedrooms (3 downstairs, 1 upstairs) so plenty of space for us to spread out. Rosie and Dave were lovely hosts and very friendly. The kids very much enjoyed having the use of the pool. The surrounding area is very quiet and we had a nice walk through the "Wee Wood" nearby. The track to the cottage feels quite long, especially the first time, but we took it slowly and our car was fine.

Very relaxing environment

A lovely property with great social space, helpful owner. Very much enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. The ground conditions around the property are tricky in bad weather (we had lots of rain), so future visitors should read the information provided by the owners, so they are aware of what to expect.

Beautiful House, Idyllic Surroundings

This is a beautiful property and the hosts were extremely helpful with every part of the booking and the stay. The hot tub and pool (with a wave machine!!) are a fantastic part of the property and my kids made full use of the pool. The house was cosy and homely and it was a lovely surprise to have flap jacks and a bottle of Prosecco on the table waiting for us. Everything was spotless and although you felt like it was the middle of nowhere, we were actually very close to Stirling and Loch Lomond and thus had the best of both worlds-peace and quiet as well as activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend the place to others.

5 Star welcoming host. Definitely Recommended

I have just enjoyed a 3 night weekend stay with 5 close friends. A great time was had by all, property was big enough far all to enjoy the space without feeling over crowded. Each couple had their own shower/toilet facilities. We each enjoyed the use of the pool area and hot tub. On the Saturday night we went to the local pub/ restaurant for dinner and a few drinks. Locals were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
