Retraite tranquille, deux chambres à coucher, deux salles de bain (une en suite, une salle de douche)

Cet excellent cottage de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains pouvant accueillir 4 personnes (non-fumeurs) se trouve dans la campagne 1066, situé dans son propre jardin dans l'enceinte du propriétaire, à environ 1,5 km de la plage.

Bien que seulement 35 mètres de la route du village, il se sent miles de n'importe où. Il y a une chambre principale avec salle de bains privative, une salle de douche et un salon accueillant menant à une terrasse antidérapante de 9 x 3 m donnant sur la campagne.

À partir de 2019, il y a un Internet dédié (filaire et wifi) à The Retreat.

La retraite est une base idéale pour les ornithologues, les cyclistes, les golfeurs, les amoureux de la nature, les randonneurs et pour visiter les villes anciennes de Rye, Battle et Hastings. Vous êtes à proximité du Romney Marsh, de Camber Sands et du continent via la liaison ferroviaire Ashford International. Salon de coiffure et salon de thé à 200 mètres, bar à 50 mètres.

La terrasse antidérapante comprenant un mobilier de salle à manger et des chaises longues est accessible depuis votre salon et votre jardin. Des repas supplémentaires à l'extérieur sont prévus pour profiter du soleil du soir. Des chaises de terrasse / jardin supplémentaires, un barbecue et un trampoline sont fournis. Un livre et une bibliothèque de films, des jeux et des casse-tête se trouvent à l'intérieur.

Le chauffage central au gaz, le gaz, l'électricité, le linge de lit et les serviettes sont fournis dans le prix de vos vacances. Girly get away

My mum, sister and I had a 3 night stop over at the retreat. We had a great time despite the weather. The retreat was absolutely fantastic. The pictures do not give it justice. Would also highly recommend the 2 sawyers pub at the top of the road. Great food great atmosphere made us feel welcome.

Lovely relaxing stay

Brilliant stay

We loved The Retreat as it was so peaceful and secluded yet only a two minute walk to the Two Sawyers for a smashing evening meal! The house had everything we needed and was lovely and clean on arrival. Beautiful weather meant we could enjoy the decking, and watch the wildlife and sheep, after visiting many NT properties in the area. Jac and Phil were the perfect hosts and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.

Beautiful little retreat in the country near the coast

Very comfortable, well-equipped dwelling with sunny terrace overlooking the East Sussex countryside less than 30 mins walk from the coast. Highly recommended.

Amazing location and perfect property with lovely hosts

An amazing property located in beautiful surroundings. The sheep are an added bonus.The deck is a lovely space to eat breakfast and watch the world go by and there are lots of lovely walks close by. Being opposite a pub that does food is a bonus and the proximity to the sea is perfect. Easy to find with safe convenient parking, the house had everything in that anyone could possibly want. Comfy beds and a superbly equipped kitchen.The hosts were absolutely lovely. We got to bottle feed baby lambs and nothing was too much trouble. It was nice to be able to have a chat about the area, the history of the house and feel so welcomed. I will definitely recommend and be returning
The sheep in the garden are a lovely sight first thing in the morning

We had a lovely stay at the retreat. Although the weather wasn't the best their was plenty to do on the area and for those really rainy days the retreat had a selection of games for us to enjoy. Dick Fordham Review of the Retreat

The property is immaculate and has everything, and I do mean everything, you need to make yourself at home. The setting in Pett Village is idyllic with a 15th Century pub with great food and drinks and a lovely beer garden just across the road. It was quite and peaceful and is rightly named The Retreat. Jac and Phil are great hosts, attentive but not intrusive and it felt like my own home.

A Serene Stay

We stayed in this cottage for 7 days. The hosts were very cordial and welcoming. The home was cozy, well-equipped, with very good kitchen appliances and a comfortable bed and nice linens—also plenty of storage space for clothing. The home is located in a peaceful setting and has convenient parking. There were many interesting historical and scenic attractions around the area. The only shortcomings were that the internet was intermittently very weak and could only support one device for emails. Also, the air fresheners/potpourri throughout the house were a little too strong. The problem was easily solved by removing them. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay here again.

'A Peaceful Break'

This property certainly lived up to its name, the retreat, for me. We had everything we could ask for in the cottage. The kitchen was fully equipped , plenty of hot water and always very warm, which is what we wanted at the beginning of January. So lovely to come in to after being out most of the day. It was also very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful, leaving us some provisions to start our holiday. We found plenty of information in the cottage regarding places of interest , with lots to do on our doorstep. There were also plenty of books or puzzles if we just wanted a relaxing day indoors . It was good to have pubs close by to eat in if we didn't want to cook. I wouldn't hesitate to return to 'The Retreat' and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This was a teriific offeringThe accommodation was very good with a lot of thought given to your possible needs. The Owners went out of their way to make your holiday a pleasure avoiding intruding while being very approachable if required.You had your own space with decking area overlooking the woodland and geese beyond. Yes there are woodpeckers there. A lovely quiet location with excellent 16th century pub across the road.Food offering there is very good and reasonably priced. Take your walking boots with you to take advantage of the footpaths nearby.Good place to tour from with easy car access to Hastings. Rosemasry lane is ok for access to Fairlight but other than that I avoided using the lanes as you could go a long way before gettig a passing place.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in and the location is perfect.

We met Phil,the owner,on arrival at The Retreat. He and his wife are very kind and friendly. Thank you for the goodies you kindly provided. The Retreat is so warm and comfortable. Home from home. It is very well looked after and spotless. It was perfect for the 4 of us with a bathroom and an en-suite. There are 2 lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds. The kitchen is nice and every thing you need is there. The lounge is good to relax in, cosy and warm. We loved the outlook and watching the geese. There is a lovely sitting area outside and also a place to park your car. The location is so peaceful and is also handy for visiting place we love such as Hastings and Rye.There is a good market at Rye on Thursdays. Thank you both very much for everything. We are all very much looking forward to coming back again.

"The Retreat" is wonderful!

Peaceful Country Retreat

Ideal for a couple like us, situated quietly down a drive off the village road. Clean, comfortable, very well equipped and all on one floor. Jac was very friendly and helpful. Well placed for visiting both a number of National Trust and other properties and gardens, plus towns such as Rye & Hastings. We also enjoyed great weather for September.

The Perfect Retreat

This the best self catering place we have ever stayed in. It is fully equipped and I could happily live here full time. The hosts are friendly and approachable, not that we needed anything during our stay. The Retreat is in a quiet village with a pub at end of the driveway and Hastings with all its attractions is a short drive away. I thoroughly recommend this venue and promise you will not be disappointed.

Das Häuschen hat eine sehr gute Aufteilung und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Einrichtung entspricht ganz genau den Bildern in der Anzeige. Wir haben mehrere wunderschöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht und Hastings und Eastbourne erkundet. Ein Highlight war der Great Dixter Garden, der uns sehr gefallen hat! Auch der Ausflug zu Beachy Head war sehr schön! Die Terasse lädt sehr zum Entspannen ein, nach einem ausgefüllten Tag, aber auch im Pub direkt gegenüber an der Straße kann man den Tag ausklingen lassen. Besonders zu empflehlen ist auch das Cafe in Pett, the Tic Tocory mit einem wunderschönem Außenbereich! Die Vermieter, die nebenan wohnen, waren sehr hilfsbereit

The Retreat is a perfect name

The property was perfect, very private clean, with all you need, including a trampoline and garden racket games. The view from the balcony was unbroken countryside with trees all around, with sun from first thing to early evening. The geese in the field next the cottage were an added delight. You would not know it but there was also a pub over the road which is well worth a visit. The beach which was just too far too walk to was easily accessed by car with plenty of parking all the way along and was never very crowded. We would definitely stay here again

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Retreat has been a very successful holiday home since 1999 with many returning guests. One couple have holidayed here every year since 2001.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

You should feel relaxed and miles away from the 'hulaballoo' as The Retreat is set back over 35 yards from the village road. Having said that it is only a short walk to the local inn/restaurant, hairdresser's/café, post office and butcher's.

Our guests are very happy with the location, accommodation, and what is provided at the property. They 'want for nothing'. We lived at The Retreat for a year whilst building our house - maybe that is something to do with it as no white goods/hardware etc were removed when we moved into the house.
