Beach location is good. Difficulties with opening the patio doors to the property meant that we could only open one set for much of the visit and wasted 1/2 day waiting for the maintenance man to repair them when they wouldnt lock. Property lacked some of the things usually found in rental cottages ie a fan, sufficient lighting in the living area to read in the evenings, soap sufficient for a weeks stay in all bathrooms, a guide to the property and to the location of local supermarkets etc. There is no number or house name on the property making its identification when you arrive difficult.
This is a wonderful property for a family with children who want to be close to the beach. Groceries, restaurants/pubs and the beach are all super convenient. The house already had lots of toys/games/books for the kids so that was really great. A fenced in garden also provided a great place for the children to play.
A lovely spacious home everything we needed was there very clean and comfortable perfect for holiday
Arrived to a beautiful home six adults one child and a baby felt at home straight away perfect for holiday or just for taking a break we had everything we needed beds were very comfortable and colour schemes were lovely. Louise the owner had left us a Christmas Tree and we were all excited because it was a real one! Decorating with my daughter and grandaughter was perfect such a lovely Christmas morning. We hope to return again perhaps in the summer. Thankyou Louise.
The cottage is huge and the living/dining/kitchen area is like the finished properties in Grand Designs. However, regardless of this space, the tasteful furnishing gives the cottage a cosy, welcoming feel. The beds are comfortable, with lovely soft sheets. The showers are fast and hot. The house is clean and has all the crockery, cutlery and white goods that you could need. The Tides would be a great place for a large group of friends or a family get together. The weather was grim when I was there and after a long walk on the beach it was lovely to come "home" to the warm, cosy and very glamorous Tides.
Super location. Short 2 minute walk the the beach and a few minutes drive to Rye Golf Club. The house was well equipped and maintained with comfy beds and modern appliances. Lots of communal space to enjoy company and a lovely conservatory which even in mid December was warm. Highly recommended.
Great location for the beach and nearby eateries like The Owl which was lovely. Short drive in to Rye for days out. Clean, modern and bright, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Plenty of bathrooms and sweet litte garden. We had a lovely stay!
Superb property. Very well equipped and great sea-side vibe. Great downstairs space and all bedrooms a good size. Worth noting that two bedrooms are downstairs and two upstairs which worked well for our group. Plenty of DVDs and games and children's toys for time inside. Nearby shops and cafes for everyday needs. Great to be able to walk to the beach and avoid car park costs. Room for two cars outside the property.
We had a wonderful stay over the long Bank Holiday weekend and I'd highly recommend to others visiting in a large family or group of friends. The house is very well furnished and supplied with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and convenient stay. It's superbly located within a couple of minutes walk from the beach and we loved the garden space for outside breakfast and bbq. Thank you so much and hopefully visit again in the future.
Great house, close to the beach and shop. Extremely clean and well equipped. Fantastic space for us all to spread out in with a great choice of games, books and dvds. The whole family were very happy here, we would thoroughly recommend it.
Wonderful spacious, comfortable family friendly house with garden with excellent facilities for both adults and children. A few minutes walk and you're on the beach, plenty to do for all ages. We will return.
This home was just perfect for our needs to spend time with our grandchildren and our daughter, just a few minutes walk from the Sandy dunes and beaches of Camber. The accommodation was exactly as described with a few extras home comforts thatâs werenât expected and the owner was very efficient at dealing with our bookings and a couple of queries before and after check in. We look forward to hopefully returning to this seasoned retreat. So much to do in the area too the grandchildren enjoyed the Romney hythe dymchurch railway, the funfair at dymchurch with very little mid week queues port lympne reserve and Hastings, but especially the beach and sea during the warm days we were lucky to enjoy. Simply Italian in Rye was very welcoming to families with young children.
Well appointed accommodation, conveniently situated for the beach with a lovely sheltered, private garden. Loads to do in the area as well as the beach. Louise was very responsive and helpful. Great week away. Thank you
What a beautiful place to stay. The house was spotless and in good condition. Itâs only a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. There was nothing that was missing from the property that we needed.
This was truly a little gem find for us and we will be visiting again
Spent a week camber with husband and 1 year old.
Lovely big property, everything and more that we needed for a week stay.
Right by the beach (2min walk) perfect with a baby... for popping back for lunch/ naps or forgetting the bucket and spade!
Also had a great garden for a chilled evening.
Shops and takeaways all available if you donât want to cook. Small drive into Rye for more restaurants / shops or nice day out.
Great place for a family / couple holiday!
We had a lovely stay in Camber - the house is perfect, warm and spacious with lots of lovely light. So close to the beach which was great with two young children and we enjoyed exploring the area.
we had a lovely week at the tides. Really helped by the lovely weather. Property is very good and we made good use of the fantastic garden. We had some extra guests outside our window (baby seaguls) but very noisy!! But you do get used to the noise. Really needed relaxing break. Thank you.
We are young professionals based in London and looking to improve our quality of life by spending time at the seaside during weekends. We love being in the house with family and friends.
We have holidayed in Camber many times. The locals are friendly, the beach is wonderful and it is close to home! There are some great restaurants and we love food!
The pace is slow, it's quiet and we find it a very tranquil place to be.
The best kept secret of the area is the fact that the weather is fantastic in Autumn and Spring!
The cottage is moments from the beach, close enough to walk to bars/pubs/restaurants and easy to find..... It is located on an unmade road off the main strip and did I mention, moments from the beach!
When we bought the house it was a two bedroom bungalow which was falling apart. We fell in love with it and its location and with some vision we have renovated it into a 4 bedroom cottage. For us its all about being with family and friends making wonderful memories. We wanted to provide warm, comfy, modern open pan living to ensure visitors have simply an unforgettable time.
Camber is in its own time warp! Although it is being dragged into the current era! There is a mix of old traditional property and new and improved. The pubs and restaurants are comfy and welcoming. Absolutely fantastic!
Rye is just outside of Camber and it is a magical place, full of cobbled streets, eateries, pubs (with roaring fires) and shops! All independent shops of course no multiples, there is lots to do in the surrounding areas too.
