Both myself and my son had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Capstan Cottage.
We spent our week section hiking the SWCP which was literally just outside our front door.
The cottage had everything we needed.
I was in the double room. I can’t tell you how much I was soothed to sleep, hearing the sound of the sea. My bed, too, was super comfy, lovely plump, firm pillows….perfect. But waking up to that view, now that was something special ….wow ….:just WOW.
The cottage sort of wraps round you. It’s hard to explain but there was something so calming about it. Standing at the island cooker, with the the top of the barn door open, browning onions while watching the world go by, fishing boats bobbing on the waves and always that sound of the sea. Magical.
My son is on the autistic spectrum and found the cinema cabin facilities superb. He could hook his laptop up to the projector and keep in contact with all his dungeon and dragon groups as well as watch Star Wars sagas in B I G technicolour (ok..so maybe that was me too).
We also visited the Sennen market on Tuesday. I can definitely recommend it. Lots of delicious, good quality, local food, produce and crafts. I bought myself some beautiful handmade silver earrings.
We can also highly recommend the Sennen cove chippy. They were THE best fish and chips we’ve ever eaten. Crispy chips and crunchy battered, fat, fresh, flaky cod. We ended up going back for our last nights supper. I’m drooling just remembering.
Communication was spot on and when I forgot my phone and binoculars Ruth returned them special delivery so both arrived the next day. (I know ….superb, huh!)
Thank you so much, Ruth for a fantastic holiday.
We’ll definitely be back 🥰
