Excellent place, we found it a beautifully equipped cottage for a comfortable stay. Would recommend it highly. Something to note is that the cottage is up a steep lane that you can't park in so it may prove to be difficult if you have mobility issues. Otherwise It's lovely.

Had a great stay at this lovely little cottage, good communication from the nice friendly host. Lots of things to see and do within a short drive and plenty of good walks straight from the front door. Our second stay here and would certainly like to stay again, provided we can still walk up the steep hill to the cottage.

Sweet little cottage with beautiful views. Very peaceful. Comfortable and well equipped. Nice, pleasant walk into town.We enjoyed sitting in the garden, listening to the birds.

The cottage was an excellent base for our holiday. Although it was not possible to drive up to the property, we had no problems parking near the church & carrying luggage etc. to the cottage. It was a well-equipped property with everything we needed & very comfortable & cosy on colder days.

Wirksworth Cottage

Superb holiday cottage, well equipped, quiet location, comfortable and clean. Lovely views from cottage and excellent walks straight from the front door. Owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Good location, steep stairs, a lot of steep hills,walks from the door, railway nearby,,Matlock Bath.

Rained a lot but managed to have some lovely walks and lots to do nearby.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was small but very comfortable and it had everything that we needed. We especially loved having the espresso machine and the instant hot water. The views from all the windows were outstanding. The local home owners that we met were very helpful and provided some tips on things that they recommended to do.

Amazing

The cottage was in a great location, close by to main points of interest and was presented immaculately. It truly felt like a home away from away and the views were amazing. Little touches of some milk in the fridge and sugar etc available was great. The owner was also very responsive

Charming cottage

We had a fabulous week in this beautiful holiday home. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and extremely clean with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is situated up a hill which you have to walk , not a problem at all to us but something to be aware of if you are mobility issues We enjoyed some lovely walks from the cottage, We would highly recommend this property,

Lovely little cottage

Thoroughly annoyed our stay at this cottage. Tiina has thought of everything and the little touches like biscuits, eggs and milk were greatly appreciated. I would thoroughly recommend to friends and relatives.

Lovely quirky cottage

This is a wonderful place, quirky and very cosy. It’s a steep climb up to the cottage and the stairs are steep too, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, but otherwise I highly recommend it. I also love that all the cleaning products etc are eco-friendly. I will definitely be back. Thank you Tina.

Great little cottage

Visited this lovely little cottage over the Jubilee weekend. Perfect base for couples for exploring the south of the Peak District and about a 10 minute stroll into the village of Wirksworth which has several decent pubs and eateries. We did trips to Matlock Bath, the Heights of Abraham and Chatsworth House all within half an hour of the property. Everything about the cottage was lovely and we even bumped into Tiina who gave us some tips on places to go and kept in touch with us before and during our stay when needed. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely cottage close to the peak district

The cottage is small, but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a great starting point for various trips to the surrounding area. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone! Just one thing: the last few yards to the cottage are on a rather steep hill (hence "Hillside") and it can be a bit tricky to park your car there. You'll need to ascend the last few yards up to the cottage, but if you're reasonably fit, it shouldn't be a problem.

Perfect countryside get away

We absolutely loved our stay in this lovely cosy cottage! Tiina had provided everything we needed for our stay including menus for local cafes, restaurants, and takeaways which we were impressed with as it's always a little awkward when you walk into somewhere not knowing if you even fancy anything but with the menus provided we could choose where we'd prefer, going by what we liked on the menu beforehand. Tiina was very quick to respond to any queries I had which was great and very helpful! It's the perfect place for a break from normality with walks close by and things to see in the area and town is only a 10-minute walk! We don't drive so the cottage was in a perfect location for us, being able to just nip down to the local shops or country walks around Wirksworth. We loved the little garden and as the weather was nice we got to just chill out, sat on the chairs and could admire the surrounding hills and watch the birds, butterflies, and bees, all busy in the garden. The cottage was very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was also just as I like it, nice and powerful and perfect temperature! Highly recommend Hillside Cottage and Tiina! If you're staying in Wirksworth, make sure you stay here! :)

A Little Gem

We had a fabulous stay here and would not hesitate in stopping again. Everything there which you needed. So quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. The host was very helpful and always prompt with her replies. Thank you Tiina for our wonderful stay.

Cosy cottage, good location

Lovely cosy cottage, clean and very well equipped. It has a nice elevated position and a small garden with table and chairs which is perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon cuppa. There are lots of walks in the area so we didn't use our car during our stay, we parked near the church, a short walk away. Tiina is a great host and responds quickly. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable

Had a lovely time in this cottage. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Very clean, bed is super comfortable. Never felt bored or homesick staying here.

Hillside cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, cosy cottage. Perfect position as shops, pubs, restaurants, walks all within easy reach but far enough out of the way to be quiet and peaceful at night. Only downside is the steep hill up to the cottage- not a problem for us but could be for anyone less fit / able . Will definitely go again.

Lovely cottage in a working town

We enjoyed our stay in what is a perfect cottage for two. We Had dinner at the pub which was good and also went to the arts cinema which is recommended. Wirksworth itself isn’t picturesque but has lovely countryside on its doorstep
