Great location of apartment just found the stairs to up to the bedrooms and roof terrace very narrow and steep Sun beds on the roof terrace were a bit dated 2 were broken

Great Stay

The apartment was great - right in the centre of the old village couldn’t ask for better location. Modern and clean property, lots of stairs something to be mindful of with little ones we had our 4 year old and had no issues but not for everyone. Communication with Lesley was great and check in process very easy! Would highly recommend this property.

A wonderful apartment ,a little gem.

The old village is a wonderful place to stay just a 15 min walk from the marina.The actual village is kept spotless with 3 amazing pools to sit around. Plenty of bars, restaurants if you don't want to wander into the marina. The apartment was very clean, no marks on the walls with 2 bathrooms that were spotless. Lovely roof terrace with sunbeds and table and chairs so you can use this to sunbathe on or dine, it captures the sun all day. All the rooms have air con when it is too hot or oil radiators to take of the chill off in the evenings. The apartment is very central. Will definitely stay in this apartment again, a little gem. Plenty of room for 4 adults

Would not stay here again. Old Village 10/10, apartment 4/10

On arrival at the apartment we found it to be a little unclean and quite dirty in some areas. The furniture and fittings were very dated and we spent some time trying to clean the floors and work surfaces. However during our first two nights we had visits from cockroaches. This was reported to the on site agents O V International who were very helpful and offered valuable assistance during our stay. I would recommend the Old Village to all as its a fantastic place for a great holiday with plenty of attractions on site and within walking distance. However I would not recommend this apartment to anyone as I feel that improvements need to be made to the cleaning regime and the fixtures and fittings need updating.

Marvellous 2nd stay.

We’ve enjoyed another holiday in this lovely apartment. It’s been updated since the last time we visited 4 years ago. It’s so close to the centre and the view is beautiful. I had family staying in another apartment that didn’t have air conditioning in the bedroom just the living area so we appreciated ours especially as the temperature went into the 40’s and it was 30 degrees at midnight! We stayed for 11 nights after 5 nights the staff came in to change the beds and a change of towels etc. Its handy having a washing machine so you can wash the towels yourself too. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need to self cater. We used the barbecue on the roof top, there’s a good butcher in Jafers supermarket on the way to the marina. Artisan cocktail bar and restaurant was a lovely treat, especially on a Saturday when Katie is singing. Stu and Tracy are great hosts along with the fabulous staff at JAKKS bar and it’s been lovely seeing Carlos at Village Cafe. We had a meal at Casa du largo which was fine and snacks at Viola bistro the entertainment there is good. We had drinks at Bar o Cafe a few times. The supermarket on site has plenty stock but we done a big shop at a larger store at the beginning. Bolt, Uber and local taxis were so reasonable and ready available. Hopefully we will get to book Lesley’s lovely apartment again.

Disappointment awaits tennants.

Location is acceptable. The unit is in a sorry state of disrepair. Weather was not great for the time of year, however we had to get extra towel sets to block water entry from most windows & doors. Significant evidence of poor upkeep on ceilings and walls with peeling paint from longstanding water damage. Potential mould in some areas. Best advice is stat away.

Great Apartment, Great Location

The apartment was lovely and exactly as described. Old Village is very picturesque and has everything you need (3 pools, 5 restaurants, cafe, supermarket etc ..) and is in a great location (~ 5 minute drive to the marina and beach). I would definitely recommend

Perfect location

This apartment is in the perfect spot in the centre of the old village. Great access to the shop and taxi pick up point. We really enjoyed our stay, the roof terrace was lovely and Lesley was very helpful. The only recommendation I have is that the bedrooms could benefit from an update, the mattresses and pillows were not very comfortable and felt like they needed replacing. Other than that I highly recommend.

Lovely apartment we have stayed here before. Very clean and modern, everything you need to enjoy your stay. Owner was very accommodating as we had to postpone our stay due to Covid. Highly recommend and would stay in this apartment again. We love the Old Village and keep coming back! Thank you 😀

Fabulous Apartment on a Fabulous Complex.

We enjoyed our stay in The Old Village in Vilamoura. Our apartment was right next to a fantastic restaurant, close to two bars and the supermarket. We loved the sun terrace as it was spacious with a dining table for four and four sun loungers. The village had everything we needed with restaurants, bars and lovely swimming pools. The grounds were well kept and the flowers were stunningly beautiful. Check in and check out were easy. We had a linen change in the middle of our stay which was great. Never have we had that before in self catering accommodation. We would highly recommend as we have a fantastic holiday.

Needs some TLC. One bedroom aircon unit leaked water.

Disappointed that the plug in the upper bathroom sink did not work nor the plug in the kitchen sink. Neither bathroom doors lock. On arrival we had to buy pan scourer and cleaning sponge, would suggest that you add a small amount to rental and leave a “welcome kit” with cloth, scourer, small washing-up liquid bottle and basic condiments.

Perfect location

Well furnished. Both bathrooms spacious and clean. Kitchen modern and airy. Lots of time spent on roof terrace which is well furnished with lovely views over Old Village and surrounding countryside. Perfectly located on complex, quiet and relaxing but close to all amenities.
