Fantastic Cottage, Perfect location
Just spent a couple of days at the cottage over New Years and it was just great. everything from the host to the cream tea supplied was great. The cottage itself is just charming, perfect for a couple and 30 secs walk to Fore St!
Would love to stay there again!
Looks lovely, not too practical
Upstairs lovely, comfy bed. Downstairs restrictive- thin table - window seats too narrow to sit on. Coffee table needed. If you don’t need to cook anything all week it’s fine. Location excellent. Would be useful to have instructions - re WiFi password, where bins are etc.
Very nice cottage
Very nice cottage..... just what my wife and I expected. No one would be disappointed
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review Dennis.
I'm glad you enjoyed your time in St Ives!
Rude owners of the cottage
This holiday was a gift to my partner for his 30th birthday, the cottage was lovely and St Ives is beautiful but the strange inspection of the cottage half way through our stay was unexpected and odd, furthermore on the morning of our check out,the time was changed to an hour earlier on the morning we were supposed to be leaving and the owners stood outside of the cottage until we left. The check out on the app said 11.00 and the owners kept banging on the door telling us that it was 10.00 they then continued to wait outside until we had left. It was uncomfortable and a horrible way to end our stay in St Ives. I love this town, the cottage was pretty but the owners are not hospitable or professional. I advise anyone to stay in one of the many other beautiful cottages, bnb’s or hotels in St Ives.
Thank you for your review.
I am sorry that there seems to have been a misunderstanding right at the end of your holiday and that you feel it ruined your stay.
I would like to point out that your exchange was not with me - it was with the housekeeper who was expecting the cottage to be vacated by 10am as usual. I'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable. Our aim is always to make guests stays happy ones and your experience is very inconsistent with past guests experiences and reviews.
As a helpful courtesy it would be great if you let me know where you read that check out time is 11am. I'm sure you can appreciate I would not want any confusion to arise for future guests from any apparent discrepancies on the site.
The inspection was for an energy efficiency test which I informed you of when you arrived and which was scheduled for the next day. Apologies again if you later felt this was an imposition despite having no objection from you at the time of the request.
Charming, impeccable, spotless, comfortable, practical, tasteful, cosy, romantic, very well furnished and equipped, fantastic location in heart of the town. *Very* impressed! The owners are lovely people too. We will seek out this cottage again on future visits to St Ives in a heartbeat. Top property for couples or lone travellers! Highly recommend.
Beautiful cottage to spend our honeymooon in!
We booked this cottage for our honeymoon and it was just perfect. Beautifully decorated - every detail was thought about carefully. It is not the biggest of cottages but perfect for two people and every detail and storage saving idea been thought of. I loved the kitchen colours so much I took a picture so I can re-created it at home when I have a new kitchen! The bathroom is a really lovely space with a bath, shower and rain-shower. We couldn't have asked for a better location - right in the town centre opposite the Barbara Hepworth museum and literally a 1 minute walk from the shops. We used the bakeries just around the corner for morning coffee and croissants with the stable door open in the cottage - couldn't ask for more! We would definitely recommend this cottage and would definitely book it again.
