Superbe Cottage 3 chambres / 3 salles de bain dans la belle Appledore

«Sanibel» est une maison de vacances de haute qualité qui est bien planifiée et décorée avec goût avec de nombreuses touches chaleureuses. Il offre une vue magnifique sur la mer au confluent de Taw et Torridge, Crow Point et sur la mer au-delà.

Rez-de-chaussée: Beau salon / salle à manger ouvert et cuisine avec de belles vues sur l'estuaire. Buanderie avec lave-linge et sèche-linge, joli vestiaire et accès à une petite cour.

Premier étage: 1 x chambre double, 1 x salle de bain avec baignoire et douche,
1x chambre super king avec salle de bains.

Deuxième étage: 1x chambre king size avec salle de bains.

La table de pose rustique peut accueillir 8 personnes. Il y a des verres à vin dans le luminaire au-dessus de votre tête pour plus de commodité! C'est le cadre idéal pour vos soirées raclette et fondue (toutes deux fournies).

Profitez de la Smart TV de 60 "dans le salon, allumez les guirlandes lumineuses et le chauffage pour une nuit confortable.

Le wifi rapide est installé lorsque vous devez utiliser votre ordinateur portable ou naviguer sur votre téléphone.

Dans les malles du salon, il y a des dépliants pour les sorties, une sélection de livres et une sélection de jeux dont des cartes à jouer.

Des lignes de crabe et des seaux sont là pour être utilisés.

Il y a une douche chaude pour vos chiens dans la petite cour. Il y a aussi des serviettes pour chien et un sèche-cheveux pour chien. Nous demandons que les chiens soient gardés au rez-de-chaussée et doivent évidemment être entraînés à la maison. Bien que nous aimions les chiens, la maison peut ne pas convenir aux grandes races ou à deux grands chiens ish ensemble - veuillez vous renseigner. Merci!

We had a fabulous stay. The cottage was everything we had hoped for 5*.

Great house!

Half term fun

This is the second time we have stayed and the property is fabulous. Such a great location, amazing views and the house itself is so welcoming. We will definitely be back for a third time I think 😊 Nothing is to much trouble for Viv - such a great trip all round.

A real home from home.. with a stunning view

We have stayed in many places in Appledore over the last 10 years. Treat yourself to a stay here: it's worth it. Everything thought of. Fresh and clean after a great refurbishment. Just a pity the weather let us down.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. House was very well equipped, very clean and well laid out. Great view of the sunset every evening from the front of the house. This property is absolutely perfect! The house is immaculately presented with so many personal, lovely touches from the owner. Before staying Viv provided recommendations for local restaurants and all lived up to our expectations. The house has spectacular views and is in a lovely location in Appledore. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and will hopefully be back myself too.

6 of us have just enjoyed a great week's stay in Sanibel, perfect accommodation with an amazing outlook. The property is so well equipped and presented making it spacious, comfortable and homely. It was our first visit to Appledore, a friendly, peaceful community with great places to explore and to eat and drink. We were very lucky with the weather so were out and about every day enjoying the magnificent views. Thank you so much, Viv, for the generous welcome gifts and the excellent communication before our holiday. We all had such an enjoyable, restful stay."

Even Better Than Expected

All 6 members of our family stayed for a week at this lovely property. We ranged in age from 1 to 69, and everybody enjoyed it. The photos on the website do not do justice to, the views from the front of the house, the location, nor to the size, quality of fixtures and fittings and the facilities of the house itself. It is not a cheap rental but well worth the money.

Fantastic holiday!

Sanibel is a beautiful home from home. It has a great view of the estuary and sea and has everything you could wish for to make a special holiday - we even had sunny, warm weather, yay! Thank you so much Viv for the very welcome treats that you left for us, they were delicious! There are some lovely walks, including walking to The Burrows across the beach. We would highly recommend The Royal George for Sunday lunch and The Royal Plaice for fish and chips. Viv was extremely helpful and friendly to deal with and answered any queries promptly. We hope to visit this gorgeous property in this lovely spot again and have already recommended it to friends. Many thanks.

Wonderful time

The property was beautfully decorated and furnished to a high standard while maintaining a level of comfort and restfulness. Everything was provided and the welcome gift was indeed most welcome and appreciated. The situation overlooking the river is breathtaking and is a very short stroll in to town. There are many brochures at the property which inform you of what is available in the area together with a comprehensive range of games suitable for all ages. We had no problems with parking, managing to park outside or just around the corner most days - and we had 2 cars. When we did have to use the nearbycarpark it was never full and the charge of 3GPB for 24 hours is exceedingly good value. We found the locals to be most helpful and friendly - one elderly gentleman even offered to drive me from the car park to the house with my shopping! We would certainly stay here again and would recommend it without reservation.

Perfection!!

We have just returned from a lovely few days in this gorgeous house in Appledore. This beautiful home exceeded our expectations in every way. As other reviewers have said the photographs just do not it justice, so spacious and with every detail thought of, thick, luxurious carpets, beautifully fitted out bathrooms with powerful showers, even gorgeous Molten Brown hand wash and hand lotion in all the bathrooms. Really comfy beds with lovely linen, loads of storage, gorgeous kitchen with all the latest appliances, huge TV, even crab lines and buckets for the kids. The location of the house is perfect, amazing views, so lovely to wake up in the morning and lie in bed looking out over the water, and lovely walks down on the beaches literally as you step out the door, and just a short walk to the main part of Appledore. Our first visit to Appledore and we loved it, had a lovely meal in The Seagate, and an amazing breakfast in The Coffee Cabin, our kids of course had to visit The Chocolate Shop every day, even a little Grocery Store that kitted us out for a meal in one evening. We all also had a great time crabbing. Even Storm Brian bringing terrible weather didn't affect our trip, just made us even more grateful that we had a gorgeous, warm house to return to after some very windswept walks! I don't use the word often but this is an exceptional holiday home, we will definitely return and are already working out when we can. Also brilliant communication from the lovely owner Viv, thanks also Viv for the goodies you left for our arrival!! We cannot recommend this house highly enough!

Beautiful house in Appledore

Sanibel is a beautifully decorated home, with all the facilities you could think of for a great holiday in Appledore. Viv the owner communicated very well with advice on the local area and eateries. Great morning and sunset views from the house across the estuary and a convenient coast walk starts almost outside the door! A very dog friendly area, we enjoyed walking along the front at Appledore, having fish & chips from Sylvesters, John's deli worth a visit, can also recomend the Seagate and the Royal George for food. Thank you Viv, your home is a credit to you :-)

Gorgeous, perfectly located house

We absolutely loved Sanibel. It's very comfortable and well equipped. The position is perfect, giving easy access to everything in Appledore, and we loved the views. It was spotlessly clean on arrival, and Viv provided detailed notes to help us gain access. She also left the most fantastic goodies on arrival; it really made us feel very welcome. We'd love to stay again.

Absolutely fantastic!

We're on our way home from spending two weeks in Sanibel and it was such a lovely place to stay. We have never stayed anywhere else so well equipped and it felt so homely and comfortable. The property is obviously well loved by the owners. Appledore is a friendly, chilled out village and Sanibel has great views overlooking the estuary. Parking could be an issue if you're bothered about that sort of thing but we managed to park nearby most days and we were given a lot of information about where to park from Viv, the owner. Infact, Viv gave us information about everything! We arrived to treats for us humans and our dog was catered for with doggy treats too. The only drawback about staying at Sanibel was having to leave.

Fantastic!

The house was absolutely immaculate, with lovely decor. It was spacious and had everything we could possibly need. It is even nicer than the photos. It felt like home. The owner, Viv, could not have been more helpful both before we went and during our stay. The village is lovely and the views from the house are stunning. We were very lucky with the weather. There are a few pubs and restaurants in Appledore. We would recommend the Seagate and the flame factory and also a new restaurant, The Yard. The Boathouse in Instow is also lovely. The Beaver Inn is nice for an outside drink. We had a lovely week and would definitely go back! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful home with stunning views in a perfect, peaceful location!

What a lovely, relaxing week we've had in Appledore at Sanibel! A warm welcome (including wine!) awaits in this perfectly located, super clean cottage, which has been so beautifully renovated, decorated and very thoughtfully equipped. We felt right at home and loved waking up in our huge comfy bed to those stunning views. Appledore is just charming, picturesque and friendly with plently of lovely places to eat and drink (We felt safe but very relaxed as everyone follows the covid 19 guidlines). As well as being a great base to explore North Devon and beyond, we loved the local nature walks on the beach and the Burrows towards Westward Ho! Many thanks to a super landlady Viv, who couldn't be more helpful. I guess we'll just have to come back, as we didn't chance to use the fondue!

Had an amazing few days in Appledore. Viv the owner was extremely helpful. The house itself, was stunning. Great views across the estuary to Instow. Spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfy. Extremely well equipped, and the welcome gifts were a lovely touch. I would highly recommend a visit.

I've stayed in dozens of accommodation in Appledore over the years. This was the LOVELIEST SMELLING house I have stayed in. All bathrooms, all rooms... their cleaner deserves a pay rise... on arrival lovely bottle of wine, shortbread and box of chocolates were waiting for us... we ate the chocs, but thanks for the lovely gift. We didn't cook, but we noticed that every utensil known to man, is available. Lovely idea, there is a wine rack, which you can help yourself to, you just have to replace them if you use any. Highly recommend this accommodation, you won't be disappointed.

We are from the Midlands and enjoy 'Sanibel' as our holiday home and for long weekends away, a time to catch up and regroup with friends and family. We find Appledore is a relaxing and peaceful place to be, the perfect break to recharge the batteries - it's good for the soul.

Appledore is the perfect place to stay in order to visit many local attractions in North Devon. It is a friendly community, and very pet friendly.
Appledore's vista is stunning and the view from the house is gorgeous. There's something for everyone here with local shops, pubs, local bands, galleries, boat trips, crabbing, rock pools and lovely dog walks to name a few....
