This is a lovely chalet in a small village. Everything was as expected. Lovely and warm and the showers always hot, even with 8 of us using them. Nice big lounge/kitchen area.
Only couple of improvements - the beds are very firm and pillows/duvets not the most comfortable.
Also dark in the hallway entrance. Couldnât change the bulbs despite trying.
All in all u would still recommend.
A fantastic stay at chalet viva. Loads of space and weâll equipped, just a short walk to the lifts to take you up to the slopes. Melanie was always on hand to answer our questions and help out. A lovely quiet village location with everything on the doorstop, supermarket, butchers and bakers and yet great access to the ski area. A great ski hire shop by the slopes where you can leave boots and skis to save carrying them up and down every day.
Could not have asked for more.
I couldn't recommend this beautiful property and its location highly enough.. 2 families of 6 teenagers, 4 adults and 2 hounds descended for Christmas with everything packed but the kitchen sink.. All 5 bedrooms are spacious and ensuite. Melanie was a fantastic host, who answered all questions promptly and even sourced us a Christmas tree and extra firewood.. Great location for skiing with lobster pot lifts just up the road from the house which take you directly to the foot of the slopes. Beautifully clean, the kitchen has everything you could ask for and more if you're self catering. Supermarket, fresh bread and local restaurants all within spitting distance.. Quiet and peaceful location. 5 stars and more
3 families of 4 stayed here for a week at New Year. The house was very well equipped with plenty of kitchen implements, large saucepans etc. Hot water was plentiful and the shops were a short walk away (including a fabulous bakery for croissants in the morning!)
Lobster pot lift up to the Vanoise express is a 5 to 10 min walk. Good tip is to rent skis from Noz Sport 2000 so you can leave your skis and boots in their boot room and come back down the lift in regular footwear (though they are quite pricey). A fabulous week in a lovely place. The one slight issue was a smell of fuel oil near the bootroom which the owners should attend to, but that wasnât enough to detract from a great stay.
