We had a really wonderful stay. We found the house extremely comfortable with everything we needed provided. It was a luxury to stay somewhere that felt like a real home and with a large sitting room. There was just 4 of us but you could comfortably sleep 8 if couples/family in the 4 bedrooms. We didn't actually use one bedroom which is self contained on the ground floor with its own bathroom.
The outdoor space is really beautiful - you can breakfast on the front porch with the morning sun, overlooking Ceret and the mountains, then later in the day when hotter enjoy the cool area of the outdoor patio round the back. The pool is beautiful and very clean.
It takes about 25 mins to walk into the centre of Ceret. During the day when it was hot we would drive, and could always find parking. In the evening we enjoyed the pleasant stroll there and back, and the walk over the bridges is stunning. Ceret is perfect and unspoilt. We enjoyed the museum, markets, dance festival and restaurants there. We also enjoyed days out at the lake nearby and the coast - especially Port-Vendres.
Thank you for the hospitality - we would love to return
We have given 5*âs across the board, but this is solely to reflect the kindness and understanding of the owners. Due to extenuating circumstances our booking had to change and we were able to discuss this with the owners to work out a solution together.
Thank you again for your understanding of our situation
The house is comfortable and the view was very beautiful. There is also a supermarket nearby which is very convenient. We enjoyed the holiday very much.
We really enjoyed our stay at Les Mimosas, in spite of temperatures sometimes over 40C! Under those conditions the pool was a joy and constantly in use. Sensible use of shutters, ans and windows (and the presence of a cool breeze at times) kept the temperatures inside the house bearable.
Anne promptly answered our questions and we would certainly consider staying again. The location was very peaceful. Ceret is a lovely and interesting town with a fascinating history.

Great pool for the grandchildren but am afraid I'm not a fan of futon beds!
Our one main disappointment was the absence of a freezer. There was only a small ice box inside the fridge - we felt inadequate for a villa that sleeps 8! This excluded us from buying bags of ice, ice creams etc etc in any quantity. Also we felt the television was lacking - a mass of wires and no instructions as to what was what! We did manage to find BBC News eventually. However we loved the peaceful location and Ceret itself.
Topp ferieopphold for Ätte mennesker, seks voksne og to barn.
Great property within easy reach of airports in both France and Spain. Spacious living area with a wonderful pool to relax in. Easy walk into Ceret which hosts some delicious restaurants with outdoor dining.
Would highly recommend.

Great location, comfortable living, beautiful views and all at a reasonable rate
We enjoyed a wonderful weeks holiday in Ceret. The house is well positioned to explore all the area has to offer, literally from the mountains to the sea. Situated close to Perpignan airport it was a stress free break for all. The house is spacious, clean and has all you need for the week including a delightful pool and outside space with views to the mountains. Would recommend the property highly.
Just back from a wonderful fortnight in this gorgeous house on the outskirts of Ceret. The house was even better than the photos suggest, and the views are to die for. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, including a well-equipped kitchen - not that we ever ate in, given the excellent variety of restaurants in the town and surrounding area. The local contact, Dave, was also incredibly helpful on the one occasion we needed him. All in all, a fantastic property in a lovely town.
We have just had a wonderful two weeks in this villa. It was so easy to live in, we felt at home really quickly. The rooms are extremely spacious and the villa is very well equipped. The highlight for us was the wonderful outside area - the balcony to our bedroom with its panoramic views, the pool area, the garden - all with views. There was a great choice of sitting out areas with tables, chairs and easily moved loungers so that it was easy to chase sun or shade. The pool was a good size and we used it most days. It was cleaned during our stay as was the villa so we felt very well looked after. There is a boulangerie and excellent restaurant within walking distance of the villa. Ceret is a lovely little town with a wonderful Saturday market and a variety of restaurants. The surrounding area is not only beautiful but full of history dating back hundreds of years and more recently - we only did about 300 miles in the two weeks we were there as there was so much to see so near - Banyuls, Port-Vendres, Collioure, Arles, Prats de Molle, Amelie, Elne. Thank you Anne and David
We have just returned from a 2 week stay in this villa, it is lovely, the photos don't quite do it justice, particularly the stunning views. I couldn't capture them in my photos either, I guess you just have to be there! Ceret is a gorgeous little town with lots to do in the surrounding area, lovely beaches a short drive away. It is hard to tear yourself away from the pool which is perfect, not too deep. The accommodation has everything you need and is very spacious and spotlessly clean. Definitely recommend.
We stayed in this lovely villa in 2014 for 10 days with our two teenage girls. The pool is beautifully located so that it is in the sunshine for most of the day, so perfect for sunbathing and when you are swimming in it, it feels like you are swimming into the mountains. The villa has everything you need for a hassle free holiday. There are lots of activities locally for young and teenage kids including the adventure activity centre at the Lake at Saint Jean which is 5 minutes drive away. There is a lot of local horse riding, the coast is half an hourâs drive on the French side and 45 minutes to Spanish resorts in Catalonia and Costa Brava. If you fancy walking, there are many marked trails and also scope to choose from a wide variety of walks to suit all tastes and levels of fitness. Numerous restaurants serve food catering for a wide variety of tastes and budgets. We would warmly recommend this for a family holiday and it would suit families who want to bring along grandparents.

We are are a family of four from the UK who originally bought the house with friends after we had visited the area on holiday in 2004 and just fell in love with it. We still feel we've only just begun to discover the vast historical, cultural and artistic treasurehouse that is the Languedoc region, as well as the many opportunities for relaxing holiday pursuits it offers. We hope you will feel similarly drawn to this wonderful and still relatively little known part of France.
We were attracted by the mix of French and Spanish culture in this area of Catalonia, 10 minutes from the Spanish border. Ceret, the local town, draws thousands of visitors to its mediaeval streets and shady squares. The stunning scenery and the Mediterranean light has and for decades attracted artists to the area and Ceret features a world-famous art museum. The wider region offers mountain walks through breath taking precip gorges; beach resorts from the rocky coves of the beautiful old fishing village of Collioure and the bays of Costa Brava to the long beaches of white sandy beaches of the Cote Vermeille; international festivals of classical music at Prades and folk music at Amelie; and of course a variety of local wines and dishes.
The house is in a secluded residential area but only five minutes drive or 20 minutes walk from the town centre. Every room in the house has views of the Canigou mountain, still covered in snow in mid May. Further afield, but just 10 minutes away is the Spanish border; in additional to the wonderful beaches and cuisine of the Costa Brava (Pau being one of our favourite coastal towns with its wonderful beach fish restaurants, you can visit the cultural sites in Barcelona, Dali's house and museum and many beautiful ancient Spanish towns. There are great activities 5 minutes drive from the house in Saint Jean including an outdoor adventure lake/activity centre which includes boating, swimming, water skiing and zip wires as well as a recently extended high level adventure centre.
